CHAPTER TWO 69 Jesus, the Messiah, may peace be on him, in Pali characters. This coin goes back to that very time which was the time of Jesus, the Messiah. From this it becomes certain that Jesus, the Messiah, may peace be on him, was given regal honour and respect, and it is very likely that the coin must have been issued by a king who had come to believe in Jesus, the Messiah. Another discovered coin displays the figure of an Israelite male. It appears that this too is the figure of Jesus, the Messiah. The Holy Quran also contains this verse which says that Jesus, the Messiah, was blessed by God wherever he went. ¹ And these coins show that he received great blessings from God, and that he did not die until he was honoured like a king. Similarly, the Holy Quran also contains this verse: وَ مُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا Meaning that, O Jesus! I shall clear thee of these charges; and I shall prove thy innocence and shall clear thee of all accusations levelled against thee by the Jews and the Christians. This was a great prophecy.
