Marriage and Family Life During the final years of Hazrat Umar's Khilaafat, I started thinking about marriage and realized that having a companion was necessary. Thus, I married into a family from the Banu Kindah tribe. My wife's name was Baqeerah, 12 and by the grace of Allah, she was both pious and understanding. Until now, I had lived without family responsibilities, but now I happily embraced these new duties that came with marriage. Before marriage, the thought of building a house had never crossed my mind, but now I have built a modest home where my wife and I could live comfortably together. 68
