Mistaken Identity One day, a stranger in Madain needed help carrying his belongings. Seeing my simple appearance, he mistook me for a labourer and asked for my help. Without telling him that I was the governor, I quietly picked up his things and walked with him. When the townspeople saw this, they told the man who I was. The stranger became very embarrassed and repeatedly apologised. I assured him it was no trouble at all and insisted on carrying his belongings to his destination. Though people were surprised, what I did was not. extraordinary. 67
