CHAPTER SIXTEEN Strengthening My Resolve nce while in Moscow, I was reciting an Arabic poem of the Promised Messiahas that I had memorized. The first verse of this poem is: O my heart! Remember Ahmad [Prophet Muhammadsas], the fountainhead of guidance and annihilator of enemies— The doer of good, the generous, the benefactor, the ocean of bounties and generosity. And one of the final lines of the poem is: Today you call me a disbeliever and consider me a wretched atheist, But a time will come after this when you will see Ahmad robed in the mantle of Ahmad [Prophet Muhammadsas ].
