CHAPTER FOURTEEN Transfer to Moscow A fter spending about nine months in Artyk, Ashgabat, and Tashkent, I was transferred to Moscow. When I was about to leave my prison cell in Tashkent for the transfer to Moscow, one of my cellmate brothers who held a great deal of love and compassion for me gave me a little money and some bread that he said I would need on my journey. I respectfully refused at first, but upon the insistence of the other inmates in the cell, I took the bread and money. I was taken to Moscow by train. When we arrived at the sta- tion, the train was full, no more tickets were being issued and I was taken back to the Tashkent prison, at which point I remem- bered the dream I had that had just become fulfilled that day. In that dream, I was about to be taken to Moscow but for some rea- son I returned to the Tashkent prison. Then one or two days later, they took me once again to transfer me to Moscow. Two days later, we returned to the station and as I was about to board the train, I was overcome with a thought and said to God Almighty:
