وفي receptacle; he preserved it in the memory, retained in the memory. وَعَى الْحَدِيثَ : He accepted thought over and retained the tradition; he learned it by heart. وَاعِيَةٌ )act. part. ( تَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ واعِيَّةٌ : Retaining ears might retain it )69:13( أَوْعَى الكَلامَ : He learned by heart the talk and preserved it in his memory. أَوْعَى الزَّادَ : He kept the provision in the receptacle. جَمَعَ فَاَوْعى : He gathered and held or preserved (it( وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوْعُوْنَ : And Allah knows best what they keep secret (in their heart( )4:24( وعَاءٌ : Receptacle; أَوْعِيَةٌ )plural(. فَبَدَاَ بِأَوْعِيَتِهِمْ قَبْلَ وِعَاءِ أَخِيْهِ : Then he began the search with their sacks before the sack of his brother (12:77). وفد He came to the : وَفَدَ إِلَى السُّلْطَان . [ وُفُوْدًا and وَفْدَا inf. noun يَفِدُ aor وَفَدَ وَفَرَ king as an ambassador, envoy, messenger, to convey gifts and ask aid. إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ وَفْدًا : Before the Gracious God as guests )1986( وَفْدٌ is the plural of وَافِدٌ which means an ambassador or envoy or messenger to convey gifts and to ask aid. ]aor. يَفِرُ inf. noun وُفُورٌ[ : It (a thing) was or became complete, full, perfect, whole, entire وَفَّرَ أَوْ أَوْفَرَ الْمَالَ : He made the money abundant, ample for him and made it complete. مَوْفُوْرٌ : Complete, perfect. (It is pass. part. from جَزَاءً مَّوْفُوْرًا أَوْفَرَ : Ample or full recompense (17:64). وَفَضَ ]aor. يَفِضُ inf. noun وَفْضًا[ : He ran hastened, went quickly . كَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَى نُصُبٍ يُوْفِضُوْنَ : As if they were racing to a target )70:44(. وَفَّقَ بَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ وَفِقَ aor. يَفِقُ inf. noun وَفِقَ أَمْرُهُ [وَفْقًا : His affair or case was right, agreeable with what he wished or desired. وَفَّقَهُ اللَّهُ لِلْخَيْرِ : God inspired him to do a good action وَفَّقَهُ اللهُ : God made him to follow right course. : He effected or brought about harmony, reconciliation between the people, made peace between them. يُوَفِّقَ اللهُ بَيْنَهُمَا : Allah will effect reconciliation between them )4:36( توفيق : Reconciliation, agreement, to make fit; accommodation; adaptation; adjustment. إِحْسَانًا وَ تَوْفِيْقًا : The doing of good and reconciliation )4:63( وَ مَا تَوْفِيْقِي إِلَّا بِاللهِ : I have no power but through Allah (11:89). لک وَفَى ]aor. يَفِي inf. noun وَفَى أَوْ أَوْفَى بِالْعَهْدِ .
