وزع وری كَيْفَ يُوَارِي سَوْا ةَ أَخِيْهِ . [ يُوَارِى : How he should hide the corpse of his brother )5:32( لِيُبْدِىَ لَهُمَا مَا وُرِىَ عَنْهُمَا مِنْ سَوْاتِهِمَا : So that he might make known to them what was hidden of their shame (7:21). النَّارَ الَّتِي تُوْرُوْنَ : The fire that you kindle )56:72( حَتَّى تَوَارَتْ بِالْحِجَابِ : When they were hidden behind the veil )38:33( فَالْمُوْرِيَاتِ قَدْحًا : Striking sparks of fire with their hoofs )1003( تَوْرَاةٌ is so called probably because in its pristine purity reading it and acting upon its teaching kindled in the heart of a man the fire of Divine love. Possibly, the word also contains a hint that bright prophecies about the advent of the final Shariah and the last law-giving Prophet lie hidden in it. The name may have its origin in the popular Jewish belief that the original Pentateuch, like everything celestial, consisted of fire, being written in block letters in flame upon a white ground of fire (Jew. Enc. XII. 197). وَزَرَ ]aor. يَزِرُ inf. noun وَزَرَ الشَّيْءَ وِزْرًا : He bore or carried the thing. وَزَرَ الرَّجُلُ : The man carried a weight which burdened his back. وَزَرَ الرَّجُلُ : He overcame or overwhelmed the man. وَزَرَ also means he sinned. وَزِيرٌ : Helper. وَاجْعَلْ لِيْ وَزِيْرًا : Grant me a helper )20:30( وِزْرٌ : Burden load وَوَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَ : And We have removed from thee thy burden )94:3( وَزَرٌ : Refuge, asylum كلا لا وَزَرَ : Nay, there is no refuge )75:12( )أَوْزَارٌ plural of وَهُمْ وِزْرٌ يَحْمِلُوْنَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ : They will carry their burdens on their backs )6:32( سَاءَ مَا يَزِرُوْنَ : Evil is that which they bear )6:32(. وَزَعَ فُلَانًا وَزْعًا inf. noun يَزَعُ aor وَزَعَ : He hindered or led or drove such a one. وَزَعَ الْجَيْشُ : He stopped the first part of the army so that their last part may join them; he arranged the soldiers, in proper order, placing them in rows. وَزَعَ الْمَالَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَوْزَعَ الْمَالَ : He distributed the property among them. أَوْزَعَ اللَّهُ فَلانًا or أَوْزَعَ اللَّهُ فَلَانًا الشَّيْءَ : God inspired such a one. رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ : My God, grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour (27:20). أَوْزَاعُ : Parties, companies. أَوْزَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا : He separated them; he brought about reconciliation between them. فَهُمْ يُرْزَعُوْنَ : They were formed into companies or groups; they were hindered 823
