وحی ودع All these words are used in a collective sense meaning wild animals or such animals as are not tamed. وَحْشِيٌّ signifies a single one of such animals. إِذَا الْوُحُوْشُ حُشِرَتْ : When the beasts are gathered together (81:6). وَحَى or اَوْحَى ]inf. noun وَحْيٌ[ : He communicated or gave order or made a request by gesture or sign; he talked (to him) in secret or he talked (to him) in such a way that others should not hear him. أَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ : God sent revelation to him. The real sense of وَحَى is to convey one's intention or wish by means of quick signs which may be done by gestures, writing etc. أَوْحَى الْعَمَلَ : He did the thing quickly. أَوْحَى الدَّوَاءُ الْمَوْتَ : Medicine precipitated his death اَوْحَى إِلَى عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَى : He revealed to His servant that which He revealed )53:11( أَوْحَى رَبُّكَ إِلَى النَّحْلِ : Thy Lord has inspired the bee )16:69( يُوْحِي بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ : They suggest one to another )6:113( وَحْيٌ : Revelation; inspiration; suggestion (42:52;53;11). وَدَّ ]aor. يَوَدُّ inf. noun وِدُّ and وَدُّ and وُدُّ and وِدَادٌ and وَدَادٌ and مَوَدَّةٌ and وُدَادٌ which mean love and affection[ وَدَّهُ : He loved him. وَدِدْتُ لَوْكَانَ كَذَا : I wished that it had been so وِدٌ and وَةٌ and وُدُّ and وَدِيْدٌ : An object of love; a person loved or beloved; a friend. Also وَةٌ and وَدُوْدٌ and وَدِيْدٌ and وَاةٌ mean, a person who loves; loving; affectionate. وُدٌ and وَدُوْدٌ also means, a man loving very much. الْوَدُودُ is an attribute of God, meaning, Most Loving toward His servants, Very Loving, Most Loving; also One Who is loved, in the hearts of His servants سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ وُدًّا : The Gracious (God) will create love in their hearts )19:97(. إِنَّ رَبِّي رَحِيمٌ وَّدُوْدٌ : Verily, my Lord is Merciful, Most Loving )11:91( جَعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ مَّوَدَّةً وَّ رَحْمَةً : He (God) has put love and tenderness between you )30:22( وَدَّ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ : Many of the people of the Book wish out of sheer envy )2:110( يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ : Every one of them wishes (2:97). و وَدَعَ ]aor. يَدْعُ inf. noun وَدَعَ الشَّيْءَ وَدْعًا : He left the thing behind. وَدَعَ الشَّيْءَ : He put down the thing, deposited it, abandoned it, forsook it, let it alone. وَدَّعَهُ : He forsook or deserted (him(. ما 820
