هدى الهدهد building with a crash; he made the building fall with a crash. وَتَخِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًا : And the mountains fall down in pieces with a crash (19:91). اَلْهُدْهُدُ Name of a bird. Hoopoe. In (27:21). name of a person. هَدَمَ ]aor. يَهْدِمُ inf. noun هَدْمًا[ and هَدَّمَ )for intensification(. هَدَمَ أَوْ هَدَّمَ الْبَنَاءَ : He demolished, broke or pulled down the foundation and felled it. ضَرَبَهُ فَهَدَمَهُ : He broke his back لَهُدِّمَتْ صَوَامِعُ : There would have been pulled down cloisters (22:41). هَدَاهُ and هَدَاهُ الطَّرِيقَ [هِدَايَةً and هَدْيًا and هُدًى inf. noun يَهْدِي aor هَدَى إِلَى الطَّرِيقِ and هَدَاهُ لِلطَّرِيقِ : He showed him the right path and made it known to him. هَدَى فَلانًا : He led the way for such a way. أُولَئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ هَدَى اللَّهُ : These it is whom Allah guided aright. أَنْ هَدَاكُمْ لِلْإِيْمَانِ : In that He has guided you to the true faith (49:18). وَهَدَهُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمَ : And He guided him to a straight path )16:22( اِهْتَدَى : He accepted, followed guidance. فَمَنِ اهْتَدى فَلِنَفْسِهِ : So whoever follows, follows it for the benefit of his own soul )39:42( الهدى is used generally in three different senses: )1( To show the right path هَدَيْنَاهُ النَّجْدَيْنِ : And We have shown him the two highways of good and evil (90:11). (2) To lead to the right path. لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا : We will certainly lead them to Our ways (29:70). (3) To make one follow the right path till one reaches the heavens or goal. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدْنَا لِهَذَا : All praise belongs to Allah Who has guided us to this )7:44( أَفَمَنْ يَهْدِى إِلَى : Is then He Who leads to the truth more worthy to be followed or he who finds not the way himself unless he be guided )10:36( هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ : A guidance for the righteous هَادٍ act. part. ): One who leads to the right path. وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ : And there is a Guide for every people )13:8(. هَدْى : Sacrifice for Mecca; anything venerable or precious. هَدْيًا بَالِغَ الْكَعْبَةِ : To be brought as an offering to the Ka'ba )5:96(. الهدى: The right way; way of salvation; true religion. أَرْسَلَ رَسُوْلَهُ بالهدى : Has sent His Messenger with guidance )61:10( لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا الْهُدَى : When we heard the call to guidance )72:14( مُهْتَدِ أَوِ الْمُهْتَدِى : One who is rightly guided; one who has accepted or الْحَقِّ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُتَّبَعَ اَمَّنْ لا يَهِدِي إِلَّا أَنْ يُهْدَى 803
