من منا مَنَّ 28 )1264( مَانِعُ : One who refuses denies. مَنَّاعٌ and مَنُوعٌ : These two are the intensive form of مانع which also means protector or, defender. أَنَّهُمْ مَّا نِعَتُهُمْ حُصُوْنُهُمْ : Their fortresses would defend them )59:3( مَنَّاعٍ لِلْخَيْرِ : Hinderer of good )50:26( إِذَا مَسَّهُ الْخَيْرُ مَنُوْعًا : When good befalls him, he is niggardly i. e. refuses to give )70: )22( مَمْنُوعٌ : Passive voice and مَمْنُوْعَةٌ is feminine of لا مَقْطُوْعَةٍ وَّلَا مَمْنُوْعَةٍ مَمْنُوْعٌ : Neither failing, nor forbidden )56 : 34). لگ ]aor. يَمُنُّ inf. noun مَنَّا and مِنَّةٌ [ and اِمْتَنَّ ]inf. noun مَنَّ أَوْ امْتَنَّ اِمْتِنَانًا عَلَيْهِ : He did to him a favour. لَقَدْ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ : Allah has conferred a favour on the believers (3:165); Allah was gracious, benevolent to believers وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَى مُوسَى : Indeed We did a favour to Moses )37:115( مَنَّ عَلَيْهِ : He mentioned again and again and counted the favour he did to him; He deemed it a great favour. اِمْتَنَّ عَلَيْهِ بِهِ : He did a favour to him with it. لا تَمُنُّوا عَلَيَّ إِسْلامَكُمْ : Do not deem your embracing Islam a favour to me )49:18( وَلا تَمْنُنْ تَسْتَكْثِرُ : Bestow not favours seeking to get more in return )74:7(. مَنْ : Favour; beneficence; good bounty; taunt; reproach; gift; weakness مَنَّ الرَّجُلَ : He weakened the man. مَنَّ : لا تُبْطِلُوا صَدَقَتِكُمْ بِالْمَنِّ . He jaded or tired out the she-camel : النَّاقَةَ مَنَاةُ مَنَا Do not render vain your alms by taunt )2:265(. أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَنَّ : We sent upon you manna. مَنُوْنٌ : Time; destiny fate; death. نَتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُوْنِ : We wait for him calamities, misfortunes, vicissitudes of time )52:31( مَمْنُونٌ : Weak; cut-off; strong. لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُوْنٍ : For them is unending reward )95:7(. = An idol of the Arabs in the days of Ignorance which was kept in the Ka'aba (53:21). ]aor. يَمْنِي inf. noun مُنْيَةً مَنْيًا : A thing wished for. أُمْنِيَّةً )plural اَمَانِيُّ( : An object of wish or desire; intention; a lie; reading of the book. تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ : These are their desires )2:112( تَمَنَّى الشَّيْءَ He desired the thing; he intended it تَمَنِّي الْكِتَابَ : He read the book تَمَنَّى الرَّجُلُ : The man told a lie. تَمَنَى الْحَدِيثَ : He forged or fabricated the story. اَمَانِيُّ : Desires; lies; intentions. لا يَعْلَمُوْنَ الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا أَمَانِيَّ : They know not the Book but their own desires; 760
