مسک مسح hand or passed his hand over it to remove the wet or dirt that was over it. وَامْسَحُوْا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ : And you pass over wet hand over your heads )5:7( مَسَحَ شَيْئًا بِالْمَاءِ : He passed his hand wetted with water over a thing. مَسَحَهُمْ : He slew them. مَسَحَ اللَّهُ عَنْكَ مَابِكَ : May God remove that which is in thee or wash and cleans thee from thy sins. مَسَحَهُ : He anointed him with oil; (God) created him blessed or goodly. مَسَحَ فِي الْأَرْضِ : He set forth journeying through the earth or land. مَسَحَهُ : He struck him gently with hand or stick. فَطَفِقَ مَسْحًا بِالسُّوْقِ : Then he began to stroke (their( legs and neck (38:34). The Prophet Messiah was known as مَسِيحُ because he was anointed or blessed by God or because he journeyed long and far in the earth. The word also means a king; beautiful in the face; a great liar; blessed or contrarily, accursed. مَسَخَ ]aor. يَمْسَخُ inf. noun مَسَخَهُ مَسْخُ : He transformed him into a worse or more foul or ugly shape. وَ لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَمَسَخْهُمْ : And if We had so willed, We could have transformed them (36:68). مَسَدَ ]aor. يَمْسُدُ inf. noun مَسْدًا[ : He twisted a rope; he pursued a journey with energy. مَسَدٌ : Twisted palm-fibre )111:6(. مَسَّ ]aor يَمَسُّ and يَمُسُّ inf. noun مَمَّا and مَسَّهُ [مَسِيسًا : He touched it or felt it. مَسَّ also means, struck, smote, befell إِذَا مَسَّ النَّاسَ ضُرُّ : When distress afflicts, touches, befalls people )3:34( مَسَّهُ الْمَرَضُ أَوِ الْكِبَرُ : Sickness or old age smote or befell him. مَسَّتْهُ الْحِنُّ : The jinn afflicted him with madness. أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْبٍ وَّعَذَابٍ: Satan has afflicted me with toil and torment )38:42( إِنْ تَمْسَسْكُمْ حَسَنَةٌ : If anything good befalls you )3:11( مَسَّهُ الْكِبَرُ : Old age came upon him. تَمَاسًا : They two touched each other )58:4(. مَسٌ : Touch effect. ذُوقُوْا مَسَّ سَقَرَ : Taste ye the touch of Hell )4:49( : Touch لا مِسَاسَ : Touch not )20:98(. مَسَكَ ]aor. يَمْسُكُ and يَمْسِكُ inf. noun مَسَكًا and مَسْکَ aor. يَمْسُكُ inf noun مَسَكَ بِهِ مَسَاكَةً and مَسَّكَ بِهِ : He held fast by it. وَالَّذِينَ يُمَسِّكُوْنَ بِالْكِتَابِ : Those who hold fast by the Book )7:171(. أَمْسَافٌ : Prevent from going; abstain from; stop short. فَإِمْسَاكٌ بِمَعْرُوفٍ : Then either retaining in a becoming manner )2:230(. 753 28
