قلب لله -- they revolved ideas or opinion, respecting the frustration of thy affair. تقلب : It turned about much or in various ways or directions; it was or became turned about تَقَلْبٌ : Turning about. تَتَقَلُّبُ فِيْهِ الْقُلُوْبُ وَالْأَبْصَارُ : In which the hearts and the eyes shall be in a state of agitation )24:38( أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ فِي تَقَلَّبِهِمْ : Or He will seize them in their going to and fro in their journeyings )16:47( انْقَلَبَ : It or he was or became altered or changed from its or his mode or manner of being; it turned back to its former state or it became inverted or turned upside down. انْقَلَبْتُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ : You will turn back on your heels )3:145( مُنْقَلِبٌ )pass. part. ): Place of return. أَيَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَنْقَلِبُوْنَ : To what place of return they shall return )26:228( مُنْقَلِبُونَ )singular مُنْقَلِبٌ act part(: Those who return to their place of return or to their former state )13:15( مُتَقَلبٌ )pass. part from تَقَلْبَ( : Place where one moves about )47:20( قُلُوْبٌ قَلْبٌ )plural) : The heart; being syn. with الضَّمِيرُ signifies the mind or the secret thoughts; the soul; the intellect or intelligence. مَالَكَ قَلْبٌ : Thou has no intellect or intelligence. أَيْنَ ذَهَبَ قَلْبُكَ : Whither hast thine intellect gone? The pith, the pure or best part of anything لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَلْبٌ وَقَلْبُ الْقُرْآنِ سُوْرَةُ يس : To everything there is a best part and the best part of the Holy Qur'an is Surah Yasin جِئْتُكُ بِهَذَا الْأَمْرِ قَلْبًا : I have come to thee with this affair unmixed with any other thing; a man genuine or pure in respect of origin or lineage, holding a middle place among his people. عَرَبِيٌّ قَلْبٌ : A genuine Arab قَلْبُ الْجَيْشِ : The main body of the army. قَلْبٌ and فُؤَادٌ are syn. meaning mind or intellect or heart. In the Holy Qur'an also both these words have been used synonymously. In 28:11 both the words have been used together signifying the heart. It is the context which determines where any of these words is used in the sense of mind or heart; some authors, however, make a distinction between قَلْبٌ and فُؤَادٌ the former of which is said to have a more special signification than the latter which is said to be the غِشَاءٌ )the pericardium) or the وِعَاءٌ of the قَلْبٌ or the middle or the interior thereof. قَلْبٌ also means, the stomach. إِذْ جَاءَ رَبَّهُ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ : When he came to his Lord with a sound heart )37:85(. 702 قلب
