قطع قطر قط dripped or fell in drops; it flowed drop by drop. قَطَرَهُ or قَطَّرَهُ or أَقْطَرَهُ : He made the water drop or fall in drops or flow drop by drop قَطَرَ الابل : He placed the camels in a file and tied the halter or the one to the tail going before or in front of him. قَطَرَ الْبَعِيرَ : He smeared the camel with قِطْرَانٌ or tar قَطَرَ فِي الْأَرْضِ : He went away into the land and hastened. قِطْرٌ : Copper or brass in the utmost state of heat; molten copper or iron. أُفْرِغْ عَلَيْهِ قِطْرًا : I may pour molten copper thereon )18:97( قِطْرَانٌ : Pitch tar or liquid pitch; molten iron سَرَابِيْلُهُمْ مِنْ قَطِرَانِ : Their garments will be of pitch )14:51( أَقْطَارٌ) قُطْرٌ plural): A side, part, portion, quarter, tract or region. أَنْ تَنْفُذُوْا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَواتِ : If you go beyond the confines of the heavens and the earth (55:34). وش ]aor. يَقُطُّ inf. noun قَطَّهُ قَطٌ : He cut it or he cut it and made it even, or he cut it breadthwise (as( قَطٌ means he cut it in halves lengthwise( قِطٌ : A slice cut off; a writing of reckoning; a share, portion or lot. قِطَّنَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ : Our portion before the Day of Reckoning (38:17). An hour or portion of the night. مضى قِطْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ : An hour of the night passed; a written obligation. قَطْ: Sufficient or being satisfied. قَطْنِي : I am satisfied or it is sufficient for me. 28 قَطَعْنَا دَارِبَر ;He cut the thing : قَطَعَ الشَّيْءَ قَطْعُ قَطَعَ ]aor. يَقْطَعُ inf. noun الَّذِيْنَ : We cut off the last remnants (7:73); he explained and expounded it. قَطَعَ عَنْ حَقِّهِ : He deprived him of his right. قطع الصَّلوة : He rendered the Prayer useless. قَطَعَ الطَّرِيقَ عَلَى السَّالِكِيْنَ : He committed robbery on the highway; he made the way dangerous for the wayfarers and made it unusable for them; he adopted the calling of the road. تَقْطَعُوْنَ السَّبِيلَ : You commit robbery on the highways )29:30( قَطَعَهُ بِالسَّوْطِ : He struck him with the whip. قَطَعَهُ بِالْحُجَّةِ : He silenced him with argument. قطع الصَّدِيقَ : He cut off all relations with his friend. قَطَّعَ الشَّيْءَ )intensive form of قَطَعَ( : He cut the thing piece by piece; he cut it asunder, cut it completely tore it فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَاءَكُمْ : So that it tears your bowels )47:16( تَقَطَّعَ الشَّيْءُ : The thing was or became cut off. تَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ الْأَسْبَابُ : All their ties shall be cut asunder )2:167(. 699
