قدس قدم predetermines a thing قَدَّرَ كَذَا : He meant such a thing to be supplied or understood قَدَّرَ : He made (syn. جَعَلَ and قَدَّرَ صَنَعَ فِيْهَا أَقْوَاتَهَا : He (God) made therein its foods )41:11( وَقَدَّرَهُ مَنَازِلَ : And He has made for it mansions )106( قَدَّرَ also means, he knew. قَدَّرَهُ : He named or called him; he empowered him. إِنَّهُ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَ : He reflected and calculated )74:19( قَدَّرْنَاهَا مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ : Her We decreed to be of those who stayed behind (27:58). قَدُسَ ]aor. يَقْدُسُ inf. noun قُدْسٌ and قُدُسٌ[ : It was or became holy, pure; He (God) is holy. قَدَسَ فِي الْأَرْضِ : He went far away into the land. قَدَّسَهُ )inf. noun تَقْدِيسٌ( : He declared Him (namely God) to be far removed, or free from every impurity or imperfection, or from every thing derogatory from His glory; (2)he declared Him to be far removed from evil; he purified him or it; (3) He (God) blessed him. قَدَّسَ : He went to بَيْتُ الْمَقْدِسِ ie. Jerusalem قَدَّسَ لِلهِ : He purified himself for God. قَدَّسَ لَهُ : He prayed for a blessing for him. نُقَدِّسُ لَكَ : We extol Thy holiness; we declare Thee to be far removed from every impurity or imperfection )2:31( تَقَدَّسَ : He or it was or became purified; he purified himself; he was far removed from every imperfection or impurity . رُوْحُ الْقُدُسِ : The Spirit of holiness قُدُسٌ or قُدْسٌ meaning holiness or purity )2:54( قُدُسٌ also signifies १० اَرْضُ الْقُدُسِ بَيْتُ الْمَقْدِسِ or الْبَيْتُ الْمُقَدَّسُ . i. q الْقُدْسُ or الْقُدُسُ . blessing الْأَرْضُ الْمُقَدَّسَةُ or : Holy Land )5:22( مُقَدَّسٌ pass. part. from قَدَّسَ )feminine مُقَدَّسَةٌ( : Sacred blessed بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ : In the sacred valley (20:13). It also means hallowed, sanctified; coruscated; purified. الْقُدُّوْسُ applied to God (as also الْمُقَدَّسُ signifies the All-holy, All-pure or All-perfect; Who is far removed from every conceivable imperfection or impurity; greatly blessed. It is nearly synonymous with اَلْمُقَدَّسُ but has intensified sense (62:2). قَدَّمَهُمْ and تَقَدَّمَهُمْ and قَدَمَ الْقَوْمُ قُدُوْمٌ and قَدْمٌ inf. noun يَقْدُمُ . aor] قَدَمَ and اِسْتَقْدَمَهُمْ : )syn. سَبَقَهُمْ( : He preceded the people; he went before them; he took precedence of them; he headed them; he led them so as to serve as an example or object of imitation. قَدِمَ 684
