سمن سمک offensive )4:47( مُسْتَمِعُ )act. part. from اِسْتَمَعَ( : One who listens i. e. listener. فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ : Then let their listener bring a manifest authority )52:39( مُسْتَمِعُوْنَ is plural )26:16(. سَمَكَ ]aor يَسْمُكُ inf. noun سَمَكَ الشَّيْءُ سُمُوْفٌ لک : The thing rose or became high or elevated or lofty. سَمَكَ : He ascended سم الله السَّمَاءَ : God raised the heaven. سَمْلٌ : Roof; ceiling of ahouse; height; depth, thickness of a thing stature بَعِيرٌ طَوِيْلُ السَّمْكِ : A camel tall of stature. رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا : He (God) has raised its height )79:29(. وش سَمٌ ]aor. يَسُمُّ inf. noun سَمَّهُ سَمٌ : He poisoned it; it pierced or passed through it; he probed or examined it, namely an affair; he made it firmor strong. سَمَمْتُ الْقَارُوْرَةَ : I closed the bottle. سَمَّ الشَّيْءَ : He rectified the thing. سَمَّ بَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ : He brought about reconciliation or harmony among the people. سَمَّتْهُ الْحَيَّةُ : The serpent bit him. سَمَمْتُ سَمَّكَ : I betook myself to thee. سَمَّتِ الرِّيْحُ )inf. noun سُمُوْمٌ( : The wind burnt سَمٌ : The eye of a needle. فِي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ : Through the eye of a needle (7:41); a hole of any thing; poison; cowries; object, aim, purpose, intention. أصَابَ سَمَّ حَاجَتِهِ : He attained the object of his pursuit. مَالَهُ سَمٌ وَّ لَا هَمَّ : He has no object or he has no hopes for him. سَمُوْمٌ : A hot wind a violent and intensely hot wind. وَوَقَانَا عَذَابَ السَّمُوْمِ : And He has saved us from the torment of the burning blast )52:28( سُمَّ الْيَوْمُ : Hot wind was blowing in the day or the day was violently hot. سَمِنَ ]aor. يَسْمَنُ and سَمُنَ aor. يَسْمُنُ inf. noun سَمَانَةٌ and سَمِنٌ [ : He was or became fat. سَمَّنَهُ and اَسْمَنَهُ : He or it rendered him fat or plump أَسْمَنَ means he was fat or plump by nature. لَا يُسْمِنُ : Which will not fatten )88:8( سَمِينٌ )or( سَمِ is act part from سَمِنَ and means, fat, plump. جَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِيْنٍ : He brought a fatted calf )5:27( سِمَ is the plural of سَمِينٌ and أَرَى سَبْعَ بَقَرَاتٍ سِمَانِ سَمِيْنَةٌ : I see seven fat kine )12:44( اَرْضُ سَمِينَةٌ : A land of good soil كَلَامٌ سَمِينٌ : Chaste, eloquent or excellent speech or language. = سَمَا ]aor. يَسْمُوْ inf. noun سَمُرٌ [ : He or it was or became high, lofty, or it rose high; he was or became noble or high in rank سَمَتْ هِمَّتُهُ إِلَى مَعَالِى १० الْأَمُورِ : His ambition aspired to high things, i. e. he sought glory . هُمْ يَسْمُوْنَ 412
