They say سَاقِطٌ مَاقِطٌ لَقِطٌ : Low ignoble, mean, vile or base سُقَّاطُ النَّاسِ : The refuse of the people. كِسْفًا مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ سَاقِطًا . that falls سَقَفَ ]aor. يَسْقَفُ and يَسْقُفُ inf. noun سَقَفَ الْبَيْتَ سَقْفٌ : He made a ceiling to the house or roofed or ceiled it. سُقِفَ أَوْ سَقَفَ : He was made a bishop. سَقْفٌ : Ceiling roof or covering of a house; the sky or heaven; heaven is called سَقْفُ الْاَرْضِ i. e. roof or ceiling of the earth. فَخَرَّ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّقْفُ : And the roof fell upon them )16:27(. أُسْقِفَ : A bishop. : سَقُمَ اَوْ سَقِمَ : [سَقَامٌ and سُقْمٌ inf. noun يَسْقُمُ aor سَقُمَ and يَسْقَمُ aor سَقِيمَ 28 28 He was or became sick, ill, or he was long sick. سَقِيمٌ )plural( سِقَامٌ like كِرَامٌ plural of كَرِيمٌ ( : Sick ill diseased, disordered. قَلْبٌ سَقِيمٌ : An unsound or sickly heart. كَلَامٌ سَقِيمٌ : Faulty speech. هُوَ سَقِيمُ الصَّدْرِ عَلَيْهِ : He is affected with malice against him. فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ : And he said: I am indeed feeling unwell; I will be diseased or become sick at a future time.
