حار there was a desire in Jacob's mind )12:69( وَلَا يَجِدُوْنَ فِي صُدُوْرِهِمْ حَاجَةً : And they do not find in their breasts any desire )59:10(. ]aor. يَحُوْذُ inf. noun حَاذَ الْإِبِلَ حَوْذَا : He drove the camels quickly, or violently or roughly or he drove the camels to water; he collected the camels together to drive them حُذْتُ الْإِبِلَ : I gained mastery over the camels. حَاذَ : He guarded, protected or took care of it; he did a thing soundly or thoroughly. أَحْوَذَ السَّيْرَ : He journeyed hard. اِسْتَحْوَذَ عَلَيْهِ : He overcame, mastered or gained mastery over him or it. أَلَمْ نَسْتَحْوِذْ عَلَيْكُمْ : Did we not prevail over you )4:142( اِسْتَحْوَذَ عَلَيْهِمُ الشَّيْطَانُ : Satan has gained mastery over حاذ حَاذَ them (58: 20). حَارَ ]aor. يَحُوْرُ inf. noun حَارَ الثَّوْبَ حَوْرٌ : He washed the cloth and made it white; حَارَ إِلَى الشَّيْءِ : He returned to a thing. حَارَ عَلَيْهِ : It recoiled upon him. إِنَّهُ ظَنَّ أَنْ لَّنْ يَحُوْرَ : He thought that he would never return to God )4:15( حَارَ : He perished or died; he or it became changed from one state to another; he was or became confounded and unable to see his right course. حَوَرَتِ الْعَيْنُ أَوْ إِحْوَرَتْ : The eye was or became characterized by the quality termed حَوَرٌ i. e. intense whiteness of the white of the eye and intense blackness of the black thereof with intense whiteness or fairness of the rest of the person; whiteness; red skin. أَحْوَرُ : A man whose eyes are characterized by the quality termed حَوَرٌ )feminine حَوْرَاءُ and plural of both أَحْوَرُ and حَوْرَاءُ is : أَحْوَرُ حُوْرٌ also means pure and clean intellect. حَاوَرَهُ )inf. noun مُحَاوَرَةٌ( : He held a dialogue or disputation or debate with him; he vied with him for superiority in glorying or boasting or the like and : فَقَالَ لِصَاحِبِهِ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُ تَحَاوُرٌ of which the inf. noun is تَحَاوَرُوا also He said to his companion arguing boastfully with him (18:35). وَاللَّهُ يَسْمَعُ تَحَاوُرَكُمَا : And God has heard your dialogue )58:2(. حُوْرُ الْعِيْنِ : Women having eyes like gazelles. حُوْرٌ مَّقْصُوْرَتٌ : Fair maidens with lovely black eyes well-guarded in pavilions )55:73( حَوَارِيُّوْنَ ) حَوَارِيٌّ plural): A washerman; one who after having been tried found to be free from vice or fault; a person of pure character; a pure thing; one who counsels and acts 208
