حض حصن made it as a place of abode; he protected or guarded himself in any way; he (ahorse) became a حِصَانُ i. e. a stallion. إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا : If they intend to remain chaste )24:34( حَصَّنَهُ : He fortified or protected it; he made it inaccessible. حَصَّنْتُ الْقَرْيَةَ : I built a wall round the village and thus protected it. إِلا فِي قُرَى مُحَصَّنَةٍ : But in fortified towns )59:15( حِصْنٌ : A fortress; a fort; a fortified or an inaccessible place; a fortified city ) حُصُوْنٌ plural( أَنَّهُمْ مَّا نِعَتُهُمْ حُصُوْنُهُمْ : That their fortresses shall protect them )593( مُحْصَنَاتُ )singular مُحْصَنَةٌ( : Married women; chaste women; free and noble women. وَالَّذِيْنَ يَرْمُوْنَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ : Those who accuse free, chaste, married women )245( مُحْصِنٌ ( مُحْصِنِينَ singular) Chaste; free and noble; married men. مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِيْنَ : Marrying them and not committing fornication )4:25( حِصَانٌ : A generous or high-bred horse; a male horse fit to cover i. e. a stallion. It is called as such because he preserves and guards his rider. اِمْرَاءَةٌ حِصَنٌ : A chaste woman; free and noble; married woman as also مُحْصَنَةٌ 28 حَصَا ]aor يَحْصُوْ inf. noun حَصَا [حَصْوًا : He denied or refused. حَصَيْتُهُ : I cast a pebble at him. حُصِىَ : He had a stone in his bladder. أَحْصَى : He numbered, counted, reckoned or computed it; or he reached the last number thereof; he retained it in his memory; he understood it; he registered its number; he recorded it; he comprehended it. أَحْصَى اللَّهُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِعِلْمِهِ : God has comprehended every thing by His knowledge or has a complete knowledge of everything. لا يُغَادِرُ صَغِيْرَةً وَلا كَبِيرَةً إِلا أَحْصَاهَا : It leaves out nothing small or great but has recorded it )18:50( وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ كِتَابًا : And We have recorded every thing in a Book )78:30( إِنْ تَعُدُّوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوْهَا : And if you try to count the favours of Allah, you will not be able to number them )14:35( أَيُّ الْحِزْبَيْنِ أَحْصَى : Which of the two parties would better reckon )18:13( حَصَى : Pebbles or small stones; things that one throws, like the dung of sheep or goats. حَضٌ ]aor. يَحُضُّ inf. noun حَقًّا and حَضَّهُ عَلَى الْأَمْرِ حُضًا : He incited, instigated or urged him to do the thing. وَلَا تَحَاضُّوْنَ عَلَى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِيْنِ : 189
