التابوت تاه ) تَوَّابُوْنَ and تَوَّابِينَ plural), when applied to man, means one who repents much and retuns from disobedience to obedience to God. إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ : Surely God loves those who returns to Him and repent much of their sins (2:223). When applied to God تَوَّابٌ means One Who returns much or often to forgiveness towards His servants who turns to Him. إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ : Surely, God is oft-returning with compassion and is merciful )9:104( مَتَابٌ )inf. noun from تَابَ( : Returning. عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ مَتَابِ : In Him do I put my trust and towards Him is my return (13:31) اَلتَّابُرْتُ )a) A chest of box as things are repeatedly taken out of it and returned to it; (b) a coffin of bier; (c) chest of breast or bosom or the ribs with what they contain, as the heart etc. ; (d) the heart which is the storehouse of knowledge. wisdom and peace; )e) a boat. أَنْ يَّأْتِيَكُمُ التَّابُوْتُ : You will have a heart wherein there will be peace and tranquillity (2:249). تَارَ ]aor. يَقُورُ inf. noun تَارَ الْمَاءُ تَوْرٌ : The water flowed. تَارَةً ]originally being واو) و تَوْرَةٌ( being changed into )1) : ((الف( time; (2) one time; (3) a turn; syn. مَرَّةً ; a time long or short; syn. وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَى . حِيْنٌ : And from it shall We bring you forth once more (20:56). 1) التِينُ( fig-tree (2) fig, fresh and ripe. وَالتِّيْنِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ : By the fig and تَاهَ the olive (95:2). ]aor. يَتِيْهُ inf. noun تِيْهَا being syn with aor 1) : يَتُوْهُ( He lost his way in the desert; he missed the right way; (2) he was or became confounded or perplexed and unable to see his right course. تَاهَ بَصَرُهُ : He looked at a thing like one confounded or perplexed; (3) he behaved proudly or insolently; (4) his intellect or mind became confused he perished. هُوَ يَتِيْهُ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ : He behaves proudly or conceitedly towards his people. تيه : A desert or waterless desert in which one loses his way. يَتِيْهُوْنَ فِي الاَرْضِ : They shall wander in the land in distraction or perplexity (5:27) 108
