تبع ruin; perdition; diminution تَبَّ : He became an old man كُنْتُ شَابًا فَصِرْتُ تَابًا : I was a young man and I have become an old man. و ]aor. يَتَّبِرُ and يَتْبَرُ inf. noun تَبَارٌ and تَبْرَ aor. يَتْبُرُ[ : He or it perished. تبره )inf. noun تتبير : He broke it into pieces; he destroyed it; (God) destroyed him. تَبَارٌ : Perdition destruction. مُتَبَرٌ : Broken-up and destroyed. رَأَى مُتَبَرٌ : A counsel brought to nought. وَلِيُتَبَرُوْا مَا عَلَوْا تَتَّبِيْرًا : To destroy completely all that they conquered. وَلاَ تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًا : And Thou increase not the wrong-doers save in destruction )71:29( مُتَبَرٌ مَّا هُمْ فِيْهِ : Destroyed will be all that they are engaged in (7:140). و 2 تبر تَبَرَ هو تَبِعَ ]aor. يَسْعُ inf. noun تَبَعٌ and اتَّبَعَ : He followed him; he walked behind or after him. اتَّبَعَةُ : He followed him; he went after him and overtook him; he made him to be a follower or he induced him to be his follower; he made him to follow; he sought him. مَنْ تَبِعَ هُدَايَ : Who followed My guidance )2:39( وَاتَّبَعَ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ : And follows the religion of Abraham )4:126( ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَببًا : Then he followed another way )18:93( فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ وَجُنُوْدُهُ : So Pharaoh followed them with his hosts and almost overtook Then they do not make : ثُمَّ لَا يُتْبِعُوْنَ مَا انْفَقُوْا مَنَّا وَّلَا أَذًى . (10:91) them ४० 28 taunt or injury to follow that which they have spent (2:263). وَأَتْبِعُوْا فِي هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةً : And curse was made to follow them in this world )1161( تابع )plural( تُبَعُ and تُبَّاعٌ and تَابِعُوْنَ and تَابِعِينَ( : Following; a follower. مَا أَنْتَ بِتَابِعِ قِبْلَتَهُمْ : Thou art not following their Qibla )2:146( أَوِ التَّابِعِينَ غَيْرِ أُولِي الْأَرْبَةِ : Or such of followers )male- attendants) as have no sexual appetites )4:32( تَبَعًا )singular and plural both) when singular, its plural is اتباع It is also quasi-plural noun of الْمُصَلَّى تَبَعٌ لِإِمَامِهِ تَابِعٌ : The person praying is a follower of his Imam النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لَهُ : The people are his followers. إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًا : Surely, we were your followers )40:48(. 28 28 تبيع : One who prosecutes or sues; an aider especially against an enemy . ثُمَّ لاَ تَجِدُوا لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا بِهِ تَبِيْعًا : Then you will find no helper for yourselves against Us )17:70( تتابع : It was or became consecutive, successive or uninterrupted. تَتَابَعَ الْقَوْمُ : The people followed one another. مُتتابع : Consecutive, successive, 28 102
