بال باب believing men their positions )3:122( تَبَوَّقُ الدَّارَ وَالْإِيْمَانَ : Who made their abode in the city and in the faith, the faith being likened to a place of abode (59:10). بَابَ ]aor. يُبُوْبُ inf. noun بَابَ لَهُ بَوْبًا : He became a door-keeper or gate-keeper to him. بَوَّبَ الْكِتَابَ : He divided the book into chapters. بَابٌ )plural أَبْوَابٌ : Adoor; a gate; a place of entrance; a means of access or of attainment; a trick or process by which something is effected; a class or category or head. بَيَّنْتُ لَهُ حِسَابَهُ بَابًا بَابًا : I explained to him his account head by head. بَوَّابٌ : A door-keeper or gate-keeper. ادْخُلُوا الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا : Enter the door submissively )2:59( لَهَا سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَابِ : For it there are seven doors (15:45). بَارَ بَالَ ]aor. يُبُورُ inf. noun بَوَارٌ and بَوْرٌ[ : He or it perished. بَارَتِ السُّوْقُ : The market became dull بَارَ الْعَمَلُ : The work became or proved vain. بَارَتِ الْأَرْضُ : The land was or became uncultivated. بَارَ الرَّجُلَ : He tested and tried the man. بَادُوا وَبَارُوْا : They became extinct and perished. بَوْرٌ : A bad or corrupt man or people; a man or people in a state of perdition; a ruined man or people. كَانُوا قَوْمًا بُوْرًا : They were a ruined people )25:19( بَوَارٌ : Perdition; destruction. اَحَلُّوْا قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ الْبَوَارِ : They landed their people into the abode of ruin )14:29( يَرْجُوْنَ تِجَارَةً لَنْ تَبُوْرَ : They hope for a bargain that will never fail; a traffic that will never perish )35:30(. The Arabs say: نَزَلَ الْبَوَارُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ : Perdition fell upon the disbelievers. ]aor. يُبُوْلُ inf. noun بَوْلٌ [ : He made water; )بَالَ بَوْلاً شَرِيْفًا فَاخِرًا : He begot offspring resembling him in form and natural disposition); it (fat) melted or dissolved. بَالٌ : A state; condition or case. أَصْلَحَ بَالَهُمْ : He (God) will improve their condition : مَا بَالُ النِّسْوَةِ الَّتِي قَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ .
