THE DESCENT OF THE MESSIAH خبری نیستت ز جانانه می زنی هرزه کام کورانه You have no news of the beloved; you wander blindly in the همچو کرمی به جز کلام خدا mist. مرده هستی به غیر جام خدا Without God's words, you are like a worm, and without the cup of union with God, you are dead. آن یقینی که بخشدت دادار چون خیال خودت نهد به کنار How can your own imagination find the certainty that only comes from God? آن یکی از دهان دلداری نکته هایی شنید و اسراری On the one hand, there is the person who hears the secrets from the lips of his Beloved. و آن دگر از خیال خود به گمان پس کجا باشد این دو کس یکسان On the other is the person plagued by doubts and suspicions based on his own thinking; how can the two be equal? ذوق این می چو تو نمیدانی هرزه عوعو کنی به نادانی Since you do not know the taste of this wine, you keep spurting nonsense in your ignorance. آن خدادان که خود دهد آواز نه که از و هم کس نماید باز You should consider Him God who calls to you and is not a fig- ment of someone's imagination. 138
