454 BARĀHIN-E-AHMADIYYA - PART FIVE عجبت له يبغى الهدى ثم ياطر كمثلك مع علم بحالي وفطنة تیرے جیسا آدمی میرے حال سے واقف اور دانا۔ تعجب ہے کہ وہ ہدایت پر آکر پھر راہِ راست چھوڑ دے It is astonishing indeed that a man like you who knew me so well, 1☆ Should have found guidance only to then let go of the right path. وليس فؤادي في الوداد يقصر قطعت ودادًا قد غرسناه في الصبا تُو نے اُس دوستی کو کاٹ دیا جس کا درخت ہم نے ایام کودکی میں لگایا تھا۔ مگر میرے دل نے دوستی میں کوئی کوتاہی نہیں کی You cut off the tree of friendship that we planted in our youth; But my heart did not fall short—whatsoever-in this friendship. على غير شيءٍ قُلتَ ما قلت عُجلةً وَ وَالله اني صادق لا أزوّرُ کسی بات پر تو نے نہیں کہا جو کچھ کہا جلدی سے اور بخدا میں سچا ہوں میں نے جھوٹ نہیں بولا Nothing you said was uttered but in haste; For-by God! I am truthful and have never lied. * 1. Maulawi Muhammad Husain Batālawi has admitted with regard to me in his magazine Ishāʻat-us-Sunnah that I am unique in my defence of the Faith in this age, and am totally devoted to Islam, and am an unrivalled champion in the path of God.
