CHAPTER TWO FULFILMENT OF PROPHECIES 205 کام جو دکھلائے اُس خلاق نے میرے لئے کیا وہ کر سکتا ہے جو ہو مفتری شیطاں کا یار The works that the Great Creator has shown in my support- Can an impostor who is a friend of Satan accomplish them? اب تلک تم میں وہی خشکی رہی باحالِ زار میں نے روتے روتے دامن کر دیا تر درد سے With anguish I wept so much that my tunic dampened with my tears, Yet you remained unblessed and wretched as ever! ہو گیا آنکھوں کے آگے اُن کے دن تاریک و تار ہائے یہ کیا ہو گیا عقلوں پہ کیا پتھر پڑے Alas! What happened, how has their intellect become so buried under rocks That transformed the day into a pitch-dark night before their eyes? جس سے عقلیں ہو گئیں بیکار اور اک مردہ وار یا کسی مخفی گناہ سے شامت اعمال ہے Or, is it the evil consequence of some hidden sin Which made the faculty of reason useless-like a lifeless corpse? جن کے وعظوں سے جہاں کے آگیا دل میں غبار گردنوں پر اُن کی ہے سب عام لوگوں کا گناہ The burden of sin of the masses, too, lies on them; Whose sermons clouded the hearts of people. ایسے کچھ بھولے کہ پھر نسیاں ہوا گر دن کا ہار ایسے کچھ سوئے کہ پھر جاگے نہیں ہیں اب تلک Such a slumber has seized them that they have not yet awakened; So forgetful are they that forgetfulness hangs like a garland around their necks. وہ بدی آتی ہے اُس پر جو ہو اُس کا کاشتکار نوع انساں میں بدی کا تخم ہونا ظلم ہے It is cruel to sow the seed of evil among people; One who sows evil will reap that evil.
