انوار العلوم جلد ۲۲ ۲۰۱ متفرق امور و میں جا کر تائید کی ۔ میں حیران ہوں کہ پاکستان کے ذمہ دار افسر ہماری ان خدمات کو جو تقسیم ملک سے پہلے یہ کہتے تھے کہ ہم کو منہ لگا رہے ہیں جو بھول گئے ہیں اور ان لوگوں کو منہ لا پاکستان کی پ“ بھی نہیں بنے دیں گے۔ احرار نے یہ بھی کہا ہے کہ اگر احمدیوں کی بات سچی ہے تو میمورنڈم پیش کریں سو یہ میمورنڈم ہے ( حضور نے میمورنڈم اپنے ہاتھ میں پکڑا ہوا تھا ) جس کا سر دست میں خلاصہ سُنا تا ہوں ۔ اس میں لکھا ہے: 'There is no doubt that at the press conference the Viceroy Baid that this district Muslims had a majority only of 0۔8% and ghat therefore parts of Gurdaspur would necessarily have non-Muslim majorities۔ We submit,however, that the Viceroy is not correctly informed on the point۔ In the 1941 census report, The Muslims population of the district of Gurdaspur is 51۔14% of the total۔ This gives it an excess of 2۔8% and not 0۔8% over the rest۔ 2۔ We must also remember that if the Muslim majority in the district of Gurdaspur is slight it is because one of its tensils viz۔Pathankot,has a Muslim population of only 38۔88%۔If we look at the other three tehsils, we find that the tehsil Batala has 55۔07% Muslims, tehsil Gurdaspur 52۔15% and tehsil shakargarh 53۔14%: Census Report,1941"۔ According to these figures,it is evident that even if we bracket Batala tehsil christians with Hindus and Sakhs ,Muslims in tehsil Batala have an excess of 10۔14%, in tahsil Gurdaspur an excess of 4۔30%,in tehsil Shakargarh an exces of 6۔28%۔ If the numberof Christians is added to the number 8f
