وَاِذَا سَاَلَکَ عِبَادِیۡ عَنِّیۡ فَاِنِّیۡ قَرِیۡبٌ ؕ اُجِیۡبُ دَعۡوَۃَ الدَّاعِ

And when My servants ask thee about Me, say: ‘I

وَمَنۡ یَّتَوَلَّ اللّٰہَ وَرَسُوۡلَہٗ وَالَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا فَاِنَّ حِزۡبَ اللّٰہِ ہُمُ

And those who take Allah and His Messenger and the

وَتِلۡکَ حُجَّتُنَاۤ اٰتَیۡنٰہَاۤ اِبۡرٰہِیۡمَ عَلٰی قَوۡمِہٖ ؕ نَرۡفَعُ دَرَجٰتٍ مَّنۡ

And that is Our argument which We gave to Abraham

وَوَہَبۡنَا لَہٗۤ اِسۡحٰقَ وَیَعۡقُوۡبَ ؕ کُلًّا ہَدَیۡنَا ۚ وَنُوۡحًا ہَدَیۡنَا

And We gave him Isaac and Jacob; each did We

وَزَکَرِیَّا وَیَحۡیٰی وَعِیۡسٰی وَاِلۡیَاسَ ؕ کُلٌّ مِّنَ الصّٰلِحِیۡنَ ﴿ۙ۸۶﴾

And We guided Zachariah and John and Jesus and Elias;

وَاِسۡمٰعِیۡلَ وَالۡیَسَعَ وَیُوۡنُسَ وَلُوۡطًا ؕ وَکُلًّا فَضَّلۡنَا عَلَی الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ﴿ۙ۸۷﴾

And We also guided Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and

اُولٰٓئِکَ الَّذِیۡنَ ہَدَی اللّٰہُ فَبِہُدٰٮہُمُ اقۡتَدِہۡ ؕ قُلۡ لَّاۤ اَسۡـَٔلُکُمۡ

These it is whom Allah guided aright, so follow thou

لَا تُدۡرِکُہُ الۡاَبۡصَارُ ۫ وَہُوَ یُدۡرِکُ الۡاَبۡصَارَ ۚ وَہُوَ اللَّطِیۡفُ

Eyes cannot reach Him but He reaches the eyes. And

قُلۡ لَّوۡ شَآءَ اللّٰہُ مَا تَلَوۡتُہٗ عَلَیۡکُمۡ وَلَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮکُمۡ بِہٖ

Say, ‘If Allah had so willed, I should not have

یُثَبِّتُ اللّٰہُ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا بِالۡقَوۡلِ الثَّابِتِ فِی الۡحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنۡیَا وَفِی

Allah strengthens the believers with the word that is firmly

وَاِنۡ مِّنۡ قَرۡیَۃٍ اِلَّا نَحۡنُ مُہۡلِکُوۡہَا قَبۡلَ یَوۡمِ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ اَوۡ

There is not a township but We shall destroy it

وَالَّذِیۡنَ جَاہَدُوۡا فِیۡنَا لَنَہۡدِیَنَّہُمۡ سُبُلَنَا ؕ وَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَمَعَ الۡمُحۡسِنِیۡنَ

And as for those who strive in Our path —

وَاَنَّ اِلٰی رَبِّکَ الۡمُنۡتَہٰی ﴿ۙ۴۳﴾

And that to thy Lord do all things ultimately go;

وَاَنَّہٗ ہُوَ اَضۡحَکَ وَاَبۡکٰی ﴿ۙ۴۴﴾

And that it is He Who makes men laugh and

وَاَنَّہٗ ہُوَ اَمَاتَ وَاَحۡیَا ﴿ۙ۴۵﴾

And that it is He Who causes death and gives

وَاَنَّہٗ خَلَقَ الزَّوۡجَیۡنِ الذَّکَرَ وَالۡاُنۡثٰی ﴿ۙ۴۶﴾

And that He creates the pairs, male and female,

مِنۡ نُّطۡفَۃٍ اِذَا تُمۡنٰی ﴿۪۴۷﴾

From a sperm-drop when it is poured forth;

تَبٰرَکَ الَّذِیۡ بِیَدِہِ الۡمُلۡکُ ۫ وَہُوَ عَلٰی کُلِّ شَیۡءٍ قَدِیۡرُ 

Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and

ۣالَّذِیۡ خَلَقَ الۡمَوۡتَ وَالۡحَیٰوۃَ لِیَبۡلُوَکُمۡ اَیُّکُمۡ اَحۡسَنُ عَمَلًا ؕ وَہُوَ

Who has created death and life that He might try

الَّذِیۡ خَلَقَ سَبۡعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ طِبَاقًا ؕ مَا تَرٰی فِیۡ خَلۡقِ

Who has created seven heavens in harmony. No incongruity canst

ثُمَّ ارۡجِعِ الۡبَصَرَ کَرَّتَیۡنِ یَنۡقَلِبۡ اِلَیۡکَ الۡبَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَّہُوَ حَسِیۡرٌ

Aye, look again, and yet again, thy sight will only

لَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِیَوۡمِ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ ۙ﴿۲﴾

Nay! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection.

وَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِالنَّفۡسِ اللَّوَّامَۃِ ؕ﴿۳﴾

And I do call to witness the self-accusing soul, that

یَوۡمَ تَرۡجُفُ الرَّاجِفَۃُ ۙ﴿۷﴾

This will happen on the day when the quaking earth

تَتۡبَعُہَا الرَّادِفَۃُ ؕ﴿۸﴾

And a second quaking shall follow it.

فَقَالَ اَنَا رَبُّکُمُ الۡاَعۡلٰی ﴿۫ۖ۲۵﴾

Saying, ‘I am your Lord, the most high.’

فَاَخَذَہُ اللّٰہُ نَکَالَ الۡاٰخِرَۃِ وَالۡاُوۡلٰی ﴿ؕ۲۶﴾

So Allah seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter

وَاِذَا الۡعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتۡ ۪ۙ﴿۵﴾

And when the she-camels, tenmonth pregnant, are abandoned,

وَاِذَا النُّفُوۡسُ زُوِّجَتۡ ۪ۙ﴿۸﴾

And when people are brought together,

وَاِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتۡ ﴿۪ۙ۱۱﴾

And when books are spread abroad.

قَدۡ اَفۡلَحَ مَنۡ تَزَکّٰی ﴿ۙ۱۵﴾

Verily, he truly prospers who purifies himself,

وَذَکَرَ اسۡمَ رَبِّہٖ فَصَلّٰی ﴿ؕ۱۶﴾

And remembers the name of his Lord and offers Prayers.

بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُوۡنَ الۡحَیٰوۃَ الدُّنۡیَا ﴿۫ۖ۱۷﴾

But you prefer the life of this world,

وَالۡاٰخِرَۃُ خَیۡرٌ وَّاَبۡقٰی ﴿ؕ۱۸﴾

Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting.

اِنَّ ہٰذَا لَفِی الصُّحُفِ الۡاُوۡلٰی ﴿ۙ۱۹﴾

This indeed is what is taught in the former Scriptures

صُحُفِ اِبۡرٰہِیۡمَ وَمُوۡسٰی ﴿٪۲۰﴾

The Scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

فَاَلۡہَمَہَا فُجُوۡرَہَا وَتَقۡوٰٮہَا ۪ۙ﴿۹﴾

And He revealed to it what is wrong for it
