وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُونِ

And I have not created the Jinn and the men but that they may worship Me.

ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ لَا رَيۡبَۛ فِيهِۛ هُدٗى لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ

This is a perfect Book; there is no doubt in it; it is a guidance for the righteous

وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبۡلِكَ وَبِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ هُمۡ يُوقِنُونَ

And who believe in that which has been revealed to thee, and that which was revealed before thee, and they have firm faith in what is yet to come.

ٱتۡلُ مَآ أُوحِيَ إِلَيۡكَ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ تَنۡهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَٱلۡمُنكَرِ ۗ وَلَذِكۡرُ ٱللَّهِ أَكۡبَرُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تَصۡنَعُونَ

Recite that which has been revealed to thee of the Book, and observe Prayer. Surely, Prayer restrains one from indecency and manifest evil, and remembrance of Allah indeed is the greatest virtue. And Allah knows what you do.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتۡلُونَ كِتَٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَقَامُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ سِرّٗا وَعَلَانِيَةٗ يَرۡجُونَ تِجَٰرَةٗ لَّن تَبُورَ

Surely, only those who follow the Book of Allah and observe Prayer and spend out of what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, hope for a bargain which will never fail;

لِيُوَفِّيَهُمۡ أُجُورَهُمۡ وَيَزِيدَهُم مِّن فَضۡلِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ غَفُورٞ شَكُورٞ

In order that He may give them their full rewards, and even increase them out of His bounty. He is surely Most Forgiving, Most Appreciating.

قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ

Surely, success does come to the believers,

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي صَلَاتِهِمۡ خَٰشِعُونَ

Who are humble in their Prayers.

إِنِّي وَجَّهۡتُ وَجۡهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ حَنِيفٗا ۖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ

‘I have turned my face toward Him Who created the heavens and the earth, being ever inclined to God, and I am not of those who associate gods with God.’

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

The Gracious, the Merciful.

مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

Master of the Day of Judgment.

إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ

Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help.

ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ

Guide us in the right path —

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone astray.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

إِنَّآ أَعۡطَيۡنَٰكَ ٱلۡكَوۡثَرَ

Surely We have given thee abundance of good

فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَٱنۡحَرۡ

So pray to thy Lord, and offer sacrifice

إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ ٱلۡأَبۡتَرُ

Surely, it is thy enemy who is without issue.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

Say, ‘He is Allah, the One.

لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَ

‘He begets not, nor is He begotten.'

وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ

‘And there is none like unto Him.’

قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ

Say, ‘I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn.

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

‘From the evil of that which He has created.'

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ

‘And from the evil of the night when it overspreads.'

وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَٰتِ فِي ٱلۡعُقَدِ

‘And from the evil of those who blow into knots to undo them.'

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

‘And from the evil of the envier when he envies.’

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ

Say, ‘I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.

مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ

‘The King of mankind.'

إِلَٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ

‘The God of mankind.'

مِن شَرِّ ٱلۡوَسۡوَاسِ ٱلۡخَنَّاسِ

‘From the evil of the sneaking whisperer.'

ٱلَّذِي يُوَسۡوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ

‘Who whispers into the hearts of men.'

مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ

‘From among the Jinn and mankind.’

وَإِذَا قُرِئَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ فَٱسۡتَمِعُواْ لَهُۥ وَأَنصِتُواْ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ

And when the Qur’an is recited, give ear to it and keep silence, that you may be shown mercy.

رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا حَسَنَةٗ وَفِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ حَسَنَةٗ وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

And of them there are some who say: ‘Our Lord, grant us good in this world as well as good in the world to come, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.’

رَبِّ ٱجۡعَلۡنِي مُقِيمَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلۡ دُعَآءِ

‘My Lord, make me observe Prayer, and my children too. Our Lord! bestow Thy grace on me and accept my prayer.

رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لِي وَلِوَٰلِدَيَّ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلۡحِسَابُ

‘Our Lord, grant forgiveness to me and to my parents and to the believers on the day when the reckoning will take place.’

فَإِذَا قَضَيۡتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ فَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱللَّ

And when you have finished the Prayer, remember Allah.

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيۡهِ رَٰجِعُونَ

‘Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return.’
