هُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُم مَّا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا

He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth.

اِنَّ فِیۡ خَلۡقِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَاخۡتِلَافِ الَّیۡلِ وَالنَّہَارِ وَالۡفُلۡکِ الَّتِیۡ

Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth

فَأَيُّ ٱلۡفَرِيقَيۡنِ أَحَقُّ بِٱلۡأَمۡنِ ۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ

’ Which, then, of the two parties has greater right to security, if indeed you know?

لَا تُدۡرِکُہُ الۡاَبۡصَارُ ۫ وَہُوَ یُدۡرِکُ الۡاَبۡصَارَ ۚ وَہُوَ اللَّطِیۡفُ

Eyes cannot reach Him but He reaches the eyes. And

لَّا تُدۡرِكُهُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ وَهُوَ يُدۡرِكُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ ۖ

Eyes cannot reach Him but He reaches the eyes.

وَاِذۡ اَخَذَ رَبُّکَ مِنۡۢ بَنِیۡۤ اٰدَمَ مِنۡ ظُہُوۡرِہِمۡ ذُرِّیَّتَہُمۡ وَاَشۡہَدَہُمۡ

And when thy Lord brings forth from Adam’s children —

وَاِذۡ اَخَذَ رَبُّکَ مِنۡۢ بَنِیۡۤ اٰدَمَ مِنۡ ظُہُوۡرِہِمۡ ذُرِّیَّتَہُمۡ وَاَشۡہَدَہُمۡ

And when thy Lord brings forth from Adam’s children —

وَمَا تَوۡفِيقِيٓ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ ۚ عَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُ وَإِلَيۡهِ أُنِيبُ

There is no power in me save through Allah. In Him do I trust and to Him do I return.

وَلِلَّهِۤ يَسۡجُدُۤ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ طَوۡعٗا وَكَرۡهٗا

And to Allah submits whosoever is in the heavens and the earth willingly or unwillingly .

فَأَمَّا ٱلزَّبَدُ فَيَذۡهَبُ جُفَآءٗ ۖ وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ فَيَمۡكُثُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۚ

Now, as to the foam, it goes away as rubbish, but as to that which benefits men, it stays on the earth.

أَلَا بِذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطۡمَئِنُّ ٱلۡقُلُوبُ

Aye! it is in the remembrance of Allah that hearts can find comfort;

أَفِي ٱللَّهِ شَكّٞ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۖ

‘Are you in doubt concerning Allah, Maker of the heavens and the earth?

قَالَ لَمۡ اَکُنۡ لِّاَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَہٗ مِنۡ صَلۡصَالٍ مِّنۡ حَمَاٍ

He answered, ‘I am not going to submit to man

اَوَلَمۡ یَرَوۡا اِلٰی مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰہُ مِنۡ شَیۡءٍ یَّتَفَیَّؤُا ظِلٰلُہٗ

Have they not seen that the shadows of everything which

وَلِلَّهِۤ يَسۡجُدُۤ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth submits humbly to Allah.

وَاِنَّ لَکُمۡ فِی الۡاَنۡعَامِ لَعِبۡرَۃً ؕ نُسۡقِیۡکُمۡ مِّمَّا فِیۡ بُطُوۡنِہٖ

And surely in the cattle too there is a lesson

وَمِنۡ ثَمَرٰتِ النَّخِیۡلِ وَالۡاَعۡنَابِ تَتَّخِذُوۡنَ مِنۡہُ سَکَرًا وَّرِزۡقًا حَسَنًا ؕ

And of the fruits of the datepalms and the grapes,

وَاَوۡحٰی رَبُّکَ اِلَی النَّحۡلِ اَنِ اتَّخِذِیۡ مِنَ الۡجِبَالِ بُیُوۡتًا وَّمِنَ

And thy Lord has inspired the bee, saying, ‘Make thou

ثُمَّ کُلِیۡ مِنۡ کُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ فَاسۡلُکِیۡ سُبُلَ رَبِّکِ ذُلُلًا ؕ

‘Then eat of every kind of fruit, and follow the

اَوۡ تُسۡقِطَ السَّمَآءَ کَمَا زَعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡنَا کِسَفًا اَوۡ تَاۡتِیَ بِاللّٰہِ

‘Or thou cause the heaven to fall upon us in

وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدۡنِي عِلۡمٗا

Say, O my Lord, increase me in knowledge.

وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا السَّمَآءَ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَہُمَا لٰعِبِیۡنَ ﴿۱۷﴾

And We created not the heaven and the earth and

مَا قَدَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهِۦٓ

They esteem not Allah with the estimation which is His due.

مَا قَدَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهِۦٓ

They esteem not Allah with the estimation which is His due.

إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهۡدِينِ

‘My Lord is with me. He will direct me aright.’

فَأَقِمۡ وَجۡهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفٗا ۚ فِطۡرَتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِي فَطَرَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَيۡهَا

So set thy face to the service of religion as one devoted to God. And follow the nature made by Allah — the nature in which He has created mankind.

وَكُلّٞ فِي فَلَكٖ يَسۡبَحُونَ

All of them float in an orbit.

وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا السَّمَآءَ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَہُمَا بَاطِلًا ؕ ذٰلِکَ ظَنُّ

And We have not created the heaven and the earth

أَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلۡعَٰبِدِينَ

I would have been the first of worshippers.’

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

And He has subjected to you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth.

إِن جَآءَكُمۡ فَاسِقُۢ بِنَبَإٖ فَتَبَيَّنُوٓاْ

If an unrighteous person brings you any news, ascertain the correctness of the report fully.

اَفَلَمۡ یَنۡظُرُوۡۤا اِلَی السَّمَآءِ فَوۡقَہُمۡ کَیۡفَ بَنَیۡنٰہَا وَزَیَّنّٰہَا وَمَا لَہَا

Have they not looked at the sky above them, how

وَالۡاَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنٰہَا وَاَلۡقَیۡنَا فِیۡہَا رَوَاسِیَ وَاَنۡۢبَتۡنَا فِیۡہَا مِنۡ کُلِّ زَوۡجٍۭ

And the earth — We have spread it out, and

تَبۡصِرَۃً وَّذِکۡرٰی لِکُلِّ عَبۡدٍ مُّنِیۡبٍ ﴿۹﴾

As a means of enlightenment and as a reminder to

وَفِیۡۤ اَنۡفُسِکُمۡ ؕ اَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ ﴿۲۲﴾

And also in your own selves. Will you not then

وَفِیۡۤ اَنۡفُسِکُمۡ ؕ اَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ ﴿۲۲﴾

And also in your own selves. Will you not then

ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلّٰی ۙ﴿۹﴾

Then he drew nearer to God; then he came down

فَکَانَ قَابَ قَوۡسَیۡنِ اَوۡ اَدۡنٰی ۚ﴿۱۰﴾

So that he became, as it were, one chord to

تِلۡکَ اِذًا قِسۡمَۃٌ ضِیۡزٰی ﴿۲۳﴾

That indeed is an unfair division.

وَاَنَّ اِلٰی رَبِّکَ الۡمُنۡتَہٰی ﴿ۙ۴۳﴾

And that to thy Lord do all things ultimately go;

كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَأَغۡلِبَنَّ أَنَا۠ وَرُسُلِيٓ ۚ

Allah has decreed: ‘Most surely I will prevail, I and My Messengers.

تَبٰرَکَ الَّذِیۡ بِیَدِہِ الۡمُلۡکُ ۫ وَہُوَ عَلٰی کُلِّ شَیۡءٍ قَدِیۡرُ 

Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and

ۣالَّذِیۡ خَلَقَ الۡمَوۡتَ وَالۡحَیٰوۃَ لِیَبۡلُوَکُمۡ اَیُّکُمۡ اَحۡسَنُ عَمَلًا ؕ وَہُوَ

Who has created death and life that He might try

الَّذِیۡ خَلَقَ سَبۡعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ طِبَاقًا ؕ مَا تَرٰی فِیۡ خَلۡقِ

Who has created seven heavens in harmony. No incongruity canst

ثُمَّ ارۡجِعِ الۡبَصَرَ کَرَّتَیۡنِ یَنۡقَلِبۡ اِلَیۡکَ الۡبَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَّہُوَ حَسِیۡرٌ

Aye, look again, and yet again, thy sight will only

اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلَیۡکُمۡ رَسُوۡلًا ۬ۙ شَاہِدًا عَلَیۡکُمۡ کَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلٰی

Verily, We have sent to you a Messenger, who is

قُتِلَ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَاۤ اَکۡفَرَہٗ ﴿ؕ۱۸﴾

Ruin seize the man! how ungrateful he is!

قُتِلَ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَاۤ اَکۡفَرَہٗ ﴿ؕ۱۸﴾

Ruin seize the man! how ungrateful he is!

وَہَدَیۡنٰہُ النَّجۡدَیۡنِ ﴿ۚ۱۱﴾

And We have pointed out to him the two highways

فَاَلۡہَمَہَا فُجُوۡرَہَا وَتَقۡوٰٮہَا ۪ۙ﴿۹﴾

And He revealed to it what is wrong for it

لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ فِیۡۤ اَحۡسَنِ تَقۡوِیۡمٍ ۫﴿۵﴾

Surely, We have created man in the best make;
