    اَلۡیَوۡمَ اَکۡمَلۡتُ لَکُمۡ دِیۡنَکُمۡ

    This day have I perfected your religion for you

    فَمَنۡ کَانَ مِنۡکُمۡ مَّرِیۡضًا اَوۡ عَلٰی سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّۃٌ مِّنۡ اَیَّامٍ اُخَرَ

    but whoso among you is sick or is on a journey shall fast the same number of other days;

  • 21 April 1899 on the Day of Eid-Ul-Adha

  • 16

    اِنَّمَا یَخۡشَی اللّٰہَ مِنۡ عِبَادِہِ الۡعُلَمٰٓؤُا

    Only those of His servants who possess knowledge fear Allah.

  • 18

    وَمَنۡ یَّعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّۃٍ شَرًّا یَّرَہٗ

    And whoso does an atom’s weight of evil will also see it.

    اِنَّا لَہٗ لَحٰفِظُوۡنَ

    most surely We will be its Guardian.

    کَبُرَتۡ کَلِمَۃً تَخۡرُجُ مِنۡ اَفۡوَاہِہِمۡ ؕ اِنۡ یَّقُوۡلُوۡنَ اِلَّا کَذِبًا

    Grievous is the word that comes from their mouths. They speak naught but a lie.

    وَاَمَّا مَا یَنۡفَعُ النَّاسَ فَیَمۡکُثُ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ

    but as to that which benefits men, it stays on the earth.

    اَوَلَمۡ یَکۡفِہِمۡ اَنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَیۡکَ الۡکِتٰبَ یُتۡلٰی عَلَیۡہِمۡ

    Is it not enough for them that We have sent down to thee the Book which is recited to them?

  • An Address of the Promised Messiah (as) at the Farewell Gathering

  • 52

    فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّیۡتَنِیۡ

    but since Thou didst cause me to die

  • 54

    فَمَنۡ یَّعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّۃٍ خَیۡرًا یَّرَہٗ

    Then whoso does an atom’s weight of good will see it,

  • 57

    مَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنٰکَ اِلَّا رَحۡمَۃً لِّلۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ

    We have sent thee not but as a mercy for all peoples.

  • 57

    ہُدًی لِّلۡمُتَّقِیۡنَ

    a guidance for the righteous

  • 60

    لَا تَقۡفُ مَا لَیۡسَ لَکَ بِہٖ عِلۡمٌ

    follow not that of which thou hast no knowledge

  • 64

    اِنَّمَا یَخۡشَی اللّٰہَ مِنۡ عِبَادِہِ الۡعُلَمٰٓؤُا

    Only those of His servants who possess knowledge fear Allah.

  • 64

    مَنۡ کَانَ فِیۡ ہٰذِہٖۤ اَعۡمٰی فَہُوَ فِی الۡاٰخِرَۃِ اَعۡمٰی

    whoso is blind in this world will be blind in the Hereafter

  • 66

    فَلَمَّا زَاغُوۡۤا اَزَاغَ اللّٰہُ قُلُوۡبَہُمۡ

    So when they deviated from the right course, Allah caused their hearts to deviate

  • 66

    اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ

    Guide us in the right path —

  • 67

    ذٰلِکَ الۡکِتٰبُ لَا رَیۡبَ ۚۖۛ فِیۡہِ ۚۛ ہُدًی لِّلۡمُتَّقِیۡنَ

    This is a perfect Book; there is no doubt in it; it is a guidance for the righteous,

  • 69

    اِیَّاکَ نَعۡبُدُ

    Thee alone do we worship

  • 70

    اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ

    Guide us in the right path

  • 70

    صِرَاطَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ

    The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings,

  • 71

    مِّنَ النَّبِیّٖنَ وَالصِّدِّیۡقِیۡنَ وَالشُّہَدَآءِ وَالصّٰلِحِیۡنَ

    namely, the Prophets, the Truthful, the Martyrs, and the Righteous

  • 72

    لَکُمۡ فِیۡ رَسُوۡلِ اللّٰہِ اُسۡوَۃٌ حَسَنَۃٌ

    you have in the Prophet of Allah an excellent model,

  • 72

    صِرَاطَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ

    The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings,

  • 77

    وَالَّذِیۡنَ جَاہَدُوۡا فِیۡنَا لَنَہۡدِیَنَّہُمۡ سُبُلَنَا

    And as for those who strive in Our path — We will surely guide them in Our ways.

  • 78

    اِیَّاکَ نَعۡبُدُ

    Thee alone do we worship

  • 79

    اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ

    Guide us in the right path

  • 79

    صِرَاطَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ

    The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings,

  • 81

    مَا یَنۡطِقُ عَنِ الۡہَوٰی

    Nor does he speak out of his own desire

  • 82

    لَّا یَمَسُّہٗۤ اِلَّا الۡمُطَہَّرُوۡنَ

    Which none shall touch except those who are purified.

  • 83

    خُلِقَ الۡاِنۡسَانُ ضَعِیۡفًا

    man has been created weak.

  • 84

    مَنۡ اَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ افۡتَرٰی عَلَی اللّٰہِ کَذِبًا اَوۡ کَذَّبَ بِاٰیٰتِہٖ

    Who is, more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah or gives the lie to His Signs?

  • 85

    کُوۡنُوۡا مَعَ الصّٰدِقِیۡنَ

    be with the truthful.

  • 85

    لَا یَایۡـَٔسُ مِنۡ رَّوۡحِ اللّٰہِ اِلَّا الۡقَوۡمُ الۡکٰفِرُوۡنَ

    none despairs of Allah’s mercy save the unbelieving people.’

  • 86

    ۫ اِنَّ بَعۡضَ الظَّنِّ اِثۡمٌ

    for suspicion in some cases is a sin.

  • 88

    اَتَاۡمُرُوۡنَ النَّاسَ بِالۡبِرِّ وَتَنۡسَوۡنَ اَنۡفُسَکُمۡ

    Do you enjoin others to do what is good and forget your own selves

  • 88

    لِمَ تَقُوۡلُوۡنَ مَا لَا تَفۡعَلُوۡنَ

    why do you say what you do not do?

  • 90

    عَلِیۡمٌۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوۡرِ

    He knows full well what is in your breasts.

  • 91

    لَا تَحۡزَنۡ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ مَعَنَا

    ‘Grieve not, for Allah is with us.’

  • 92

    لَا تَحۡزَنۡ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ مَعَنَا

    ‘Grieve not, for Allah is with us.’

  • 92

    مَا مُحَمَّدٌ اِلَّا رَسُوۡلٌ ۚ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِ الرُّسُلُ

    Muhammad is only a Messenger. Verily, all Messengers have passed away before him

  • 95

    رَبِّ السِّجۡنُ اَحَبُّ اِلَیَّ مِمَّا یَدۡعُوۡنَنِیۡۤ اِلَیۡہِ

    O my Lord, I would prefer prison to that to which they invite me

  • 97

    لَا تُلۡقُوۡا بِاَیۡدِیۡکُمۡ اِلَی التَّہۡلُکَۃِ

    cast not yourselves into ruin with your own hands

  • 99

    وَلَنَبۡلُوَنَّکُمۡ بِشَیۡءٍ مِّنَ الۡخَوۡفِ وَالۡجُوۡعِ

    And We will try you with something of fear and hunger

  • 99

    اِنَّاۤ اِلَیۡہِ رٰجِعُوۡنَ

    Surely, to Him shall we return.’

  • 99

    اُولٰٓئِکَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ صَلَوٰتٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّہِمۡ وَرَحۡمَۃٌ

    It is these on whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy,

  • 10 December 1899

  • 110

    وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ الۡجِنَّ وَالۡاِنۡسَ اِلَّا لِیَعۡبُدُوۡنِ

    And I have not created the Jinn and the men but that they may worship Me.

  • 110

    ؕ کَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰیٰتِنَا

    they rejected Our Signs;

  • 111

    وَلَنۡ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّۃِ اللّٰہِ تَبۡدِیۡلًا

    Such has been the way of Allah in the case of those who passed away before,

  • 111

    تِلۡکَ الۡاَیَّامُ نُدَاوِلُہَا بَیۡنَ النَّاسِ

    such days We cause to alternate among men

  • 117

    لَعَلَّکَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفۡسَکَ اَلَّا یَکُوۡنُوۡا مُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ

    Haply thou wilt grieve thyself to death because they believe not.

  • 120

    لَوۡ کُنَّا نَسۡمَعُ اَوۡ نَعۡقِلُ مَا کُنَّا فِیۡۤ اَصۡحٰبِ السَّعِیۡرِ

    ‘If we had but listened or possessed sense, we should not have been among the inmates of the blazing Fire.’

  • 121

    نَفَخۡتُ فِیۡہِ مِنۡ رُّوۡحِیۡ

    have breathed into him of My Spirit

  • 121

    اِنَّمَاۤ اَمۡرُہٗۤ اِذَاۤ اَرَادَ شَیۡئًا اَنۡ یَّقُوۡلَ لَہٗ کُنۡ فَیَکُوۡنُ

    Verily His command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, ‘Be!,’ and it is

  • 125

    خُلِقَ الۡاِنۡسَانُ ضَعِیۡفًا

    man has been created weak.

  • 125

    اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ

    Guide us in the right path

  • 125

    صِرَاطَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ ۬ۙ غَیۡرِ الۡمَغۡضُوۡبِ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَلَا الضَّآلِّیۡنَ

    The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone astray.

  • 126

    لَا یُظۡہِرُ عَلٰی غَیۡبِہٖۤ اَحَدًا اِ

    He reveals not His secrets to any one,

  • 126

    لَّا مَنِ ارۡتَضٰی مِنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ

    Except to him whom He chooses, namely a Messenger of His

  • 128

    مَا یَنۡطِقُ عَنِ الۡہَوٰی

    Nor does he speak out of his own desire

  • 128

    دَنَا فَتَدَلّٰی

    he drew nearer to God; then he came down to mankind,

  • 129

    لَّا یَمَسُّہٗۤ اِلَّا الۡمُطَہَّرُوۡنَ

    Which none shall touch except those who are purified.

  • 130

    فِیۡہِ شِفَآءٌ لِّلنَّاسِ

    Therein is cure for men

  • 131

    ادۡعُوۡنِیۡۤ اَسۡتَجِبۡ لَکُمۡ

    ‘Pray unto Me; I will answer your prayer

  • 131

    ؕ اُجِیۡبُ دَعۡوَۃَ الدَّاعِ اِذَا دَعَانِ

    I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he prays to Me.

  • 132

    اِنَّمَا یَتَقَبَّلُ اللّٰہُ مِنَ الۡمُتَّقِیۡنَ

    Allah accepts only from the righteous.

  • 134

    اِنَّ اللّٰہَ مَعَ الَّذِیۡنَ اتَّقَوۡا

    Verily, Allah is with those who are righteous

  • 134

    وَمَنۡ یَّتَّقِ اللّٰہَ یَجۡعَلۡ لَّہٗ مَخۡرَجًا

    he who fears Allah — He will make for him a way out,

  • 134

    وَّیَرۡزُقۡہُ مِنۡ حَیۡثُ لَا یَحۡتَسِبُ

    And will provide for him from where he expects not.

  • 135

    اِنَّاۤ اَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلۡکٰفِرِیۡنَ سَلٰسِلَا۠ وَاَغۡلٰلًا وَّسَعِیۡرًا

    Verily, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and iron-collars and a blazing Fire.

  • 137

    یَاۡمُرُوۡنَ بِالۡمَعۡرُوۡفِ وَیَنۡہَوۡنَ عَنِ الۡمُنۡکَرِ

    enjoin what is good and forbid evil

  • 138

    الٓـمّٓ

  • 138

    ذٰلِکَ الۡکِتٰبُ لَا رَیۡبَ ۚۖۛ فِیۡہِ ۚۛ ہُدًی لِّلۡمُتَّقِیۡنَ

    This is a perfect Book; there is no doubt in it; it is a guidance for the righteous,

  • 139

    لَا رَیۡبَ ۚۖۛ فِیۡہِ

    no doubt in it;

  • 140

    لَّا یَمَسُّہٗۤ اِلَّا الۡمُطَہَّرُوۡنَ

    Which none shall touch except those who are purified.

  • 140

    ہُدًی لِّلۡمُتَّقِیۡنَ

    a guidance for the righteous

  • 143

    الَّذِیۡنَ یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡغَیۡبِ وَیُقِیۡمُوۡنَ الصَّلٰوۃَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰہُمۡ یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ

    Who believe in the unseen and observe Prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them;

  • 143

    اِنِّیۡ مُتَوَفِّیۡکَ وَرَافِعُکَ اِلَیَّ

    I will cause thee to die a natural death and will exalt thee to Myself,

  • 144

    لَنۡ یَّجۡعَلَ اللّٰہُ لِلۡکٰفِرِیۡنَ عَلَی الۡمُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ سَبِیۡلًا

    Allah will not grant the disbelievers a way to prevail against the believers.

  • 145

    رَافِعُکَ اِلَیَّ وَمُطَہِّرُکَ مِنَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِیۡنَ اتَّبَعُوۡکَ فَوۡقَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡۤ

    will exalt thee to Myself, and will clear thee from the charges of those who disbelieve, and will place those who follow thee above those who disbelieve,

  • 147

    یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡغَیۡبِ وَیُقِیۡمُوۡنَ الصَّلٰوۃَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰہُمۡ یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ

    believe in the unseen and observe Prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them;

  • 149

    یُقِیۡمُوۡنَ الصَّلٰوۃَ

    observe Prayer

  • 152

    مِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰہُمۡ یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ

    spend out of what We have provided for them

  • 154

    یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَیۡکَ

    believe in that which has been revealed to thee,

  • 155

    یٰعِیۡسٰۤی اِنِّیۡ مُتَوَفِّیۡکَ

    ‘O Jesus, I will cause thee to die a natural death

  • 155

    مَا مُحَمَّدٌ اِلَّا رَسُوۡلٌ ۚ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِ الرُّسُلُ

    Muhammad is only a Messenger. Verily, all Messengers have passed away before him

  • 156

    مَا مُحَمَّدٌ اِلَّا رَسُوۡلٌ ۚ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِ الرُّسُلُ

    Muhammad is only a Messenger. Verily, all Messengers have passed away before him

  • 157

    اَلۡیَوۡمَ اَکۡمَلۡتُ لَکُمۡ دِیۡنَکُمۡ وَاَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَیۡکُمۡ نِعۡمَتِیۡ

    This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you

  • 158

    مَا مُحَمَّدٌ اِلَّا رَسُوۡلٌ ۚ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِ الرُّسُلُ

    Muhammad is only a Messenger. Verily, all Messengers have passed away before him

  • 160

    وَّاٰخَرِیۡنَ مِنۡہُمۡ

    And among others from among them

  • 161

    یُحَرِّفُوۡنَ الۡکَلِمَ عَنۡ مَّوَاضِعِہٖ

    who pervert words from their proper places.

  • 161

    یٰعِیۡسٰۤی اِنِّیۡ مُتَوَفِّیۡکَ

    O Jesus, I will cause thee to die a natural death

  • 163

    اَلرِّجَالُ قَوّٰمُوۡنَ عَلَی النِّسَآءِ

    Men are guardians over women

  • 168

    مِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰہُمۡ یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ

    spend out of what We have provided for them

  • 169

    اِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّکَ لِلۡمَلٰٓئِکَۃِ اِنِّیۡ جَاعِلٌ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ خَلِیۡفَۃً

    when thy Lord said to the angels: ‘I am about to place a vicegerent in the earth

  • 171

    اِنَّ بُیُوۡتَنَا عَوۡرَۃٌ

    Our houses are exposed and defenceless.

  • 171

    ہَلۡ تَعۡلَمُ لَہٗ سَمِیًّا

    Dost thou know any equal of His?

  • 175

    لَنۡ یَّنَالَ اللّٰہَ لُحُوۡمُہَا وَلَا دِمَآؤُہَا وَلٰکِنۡ یَّنَالُہُ التَّقۡوٰی مِنۡکُمۡ

    Their flesh reaches not Allah, nor does their blood, but it is your righteousness that reaches Him

  • 175

    اِنَّمَا یَتَقَبَّلُ اللّٰہُ مِنَ الۡمُتَّقِیۡنَ

    ‘Allah accepts only from the righteous.

  • 175

    اِنَّ اَکۡرَمَکُمۡ عِنۡدَ اللّٰہِ اَتۡقٰکُمۡ

    Verily, the most honourable among you, in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous among you.

  • 175

    ضُرِبَتۡ عَلَیۡہِمُ الذِّلَّۃُ وَالۡمَسۡکَنَۃُ

    they were smitten with abasement and destitution,

  • 177

    قَدۡ اَفۡلَحَ مَنۡ زَکّٰٮہَا

    He indeed truly prospers who purifies it.

    قُلۡ اَعُوۡذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ

    Say, ‘I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind

  • 188

    مَلِکِ النَّاسِ

    ‘The King of mankind,

  • 188

    اِلٰہِ النَّاسِ

    ‘The God of mankind

  • 188

    مِنۡ شَرِّ الۡوَسۡوَاسِ ۬ۙ الۡخَنَّاسِ

    ‘From the evil of the sneaking whisperer,

  • 188

    الَّذِیۡ یُوَسۡوِسُ فِیۡ صُدُوۡرِ النَّاسِ

    ‘Who whispers into the hearts of men,

  • 188

    مِنَ الۡجِنَّۃِ وَالنَّاسِ

    ‘From among the Jinn and mankind.

  • 189

    وَقَضٰی رَبُّکَ اَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوۡۤا اِلَّاۤ اِیَّاہُ وَبِالۡوَالِدَیۡنِ اِحۡسَانًا

    Thy Lord has commanded, “Worship none but Him, and show kindness to parents

  • 190

    ہَلۡ جَزَآءُ الۡاِحۡسَانِ اِلَّا الۡاِحۡسَانُ

    The reward of goodness is nothing but goodness.

  • 199

    مِنۡ شَرِّ الۡوَسۡوَاسِ ۬ۙ الۡخَنَّاسِ

    ‘From the evil of the sneaking whisperer,

  • The Sign of the Revealed Sermon

  • 208

    مَا کُنۡتَ تَدۡرِیۡ مَا الۡکِتٰبُ وَلَا الۡاِیۡمَانُ وَلٰکِنۡ جَعَلۡنٰہُ نُوۡرًا نَّہۡدِیۡ بِہٖ مَنۡ نَّشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا

    Thou didst not know what the Book was, nor what the faith. But We have made it (the revelation) a light, whereby We guide such of Our servants

  • 213

    جَزٰٓؤُا سَیِّئَۃٍ سَیِّئَۃٌ مِّثۡلُہَا ۚ فَمَنۡ عَفَا وَاَصۡلَحَ فَاَجۡرُہٗ عَلَی اللّٰہِ

    The recompense of an injury is an injury the like thereof; but whoso forgives and his act brings about reformation, his reward is with Allah.

  • 214

    جَزٰٓؤُا سَیِّئَۃٍ سَیِّئَۃٌ مِّثۡلُہَا

    the recompense of an injury is an injury the like thereof

  • 214

    ؕ وَضُرِبَتۡ عَلَیۡہِمُ الذِّلَّۃُ وَالۡمَسۡکَنَۃُ

    And they were smitten with abasement and destitution,

  • 215

    ضُرِبَتۡ عَلَیۡہِمُ الذِّلَّۃُ

    they were smitten with abasement

  • 217

    ذٰلِکَ فَضۡلُ اللّٰہِ یُؤۡتِیۡہِ مَنۡ یَّشَآءُ

    That is Allah’s grace; He bestows it upon whomsoever He pleases

  • 218

    ہُوَ الَّذِیۡ بَعَثَ فِی الۡاُمِّیّٖنَ رَسُوۡلًا

    He it is Who has raised among the Unlettered people a Messenger

  • 221

    کُنۡتُمۡ اَعۡدَآءً فَاَلَّفَ بَیۡنَ قُلُوۡبِکُمۡ

    you were enemies and He united your hearts in love

  • May 1900

  • 224

    لَعَلَّکَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفۡسَکَ اَلَّا یَکُوۡنُوۡا مُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ

    Haply thou wilt grieve thyself to death because they believe not.

  • 224

    وَالَّذِیۡنَ جَاہَدُوۡا فِیۡنَا لَنَہۡدِیَنَّہُمۡ سُبُلَنَا

    And as for those who strive in Our path — We will surely guide them in Our ways.

    کُوۡنُوۡا مَعَ الصّٰدِقِیۡنَ

    be with the truthful.

  • 226

    اِیَّاکَ نَعۡبُدُ وَاِیَّاکَ نَسۡتَعِیۡنُ

    Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help.

  • 227

    لَعَلَّکَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفۡسَکَ اَلَّا یَکُوۡنُوۡا مُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ

    Haply thou wilt grieve thyself to death because they believe not.

  • 228

    عَزِیۡزٌ عَلَیۡہِ مَا عَنِتُّمۡ

    grievous to him is that you should fall into trouble;

  • 228

    کُوۡنُوۡا مَعَ الصّٰدِقِیۡنَ

    be with the truthful.

  • 229

    اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ

    Guide us in the right path

  • 230

    الٓرٰ ۟ کِتٰبٌ اُحۡکِمَتۡ اٰیٰتُہٗ

    This is a Book whose verses have been made unchangeable

  • 231

    لَا رَیۡبَ ۚۖۛ فِیۡہِ

    there is no doubt in it;

  • 231

    لَّا یَمَسُّہٗۤ اِلَّا الۡمُطَہَّرُوۡنَ

    Which none shall touch except those who are purified.

  • 232

    کِتٰبٌ اُحۡکِمَتۡ اٰیٰتُہٗ

    This is a Book whose verses have been made unchangeable

  • 233

    قُمۡ فَاَنۡذِرۡ

    Arise and warn.

  • 233

    اِذَا جَآءَ نَصۡرُ اللّٰہِ

    When the help of Allah comes

  • 233

    ؕ اَلۡیَوۡمَ اَکۡمَلۡتُ لَکُمۡ دِیۡنَکُمۡ

    This day have I perfected your religion for you

  • 234

    ؕ اَلۡیَوۡمَ اَکۡمَلۡتُ لَکُمۡ دِیۡنَکُمۡ

    This day have I perfected your religion for you

  • 234

    اِنِّیۡ رَسُوۡلُ اللّٰہِ اِلَیۡکُمۡ جَمِیۡعَا

    truly I am a Messenger to you all from Allah

  • 234

    فَکِیۡدُوۡنِیۡ جَمِیۡعًا

    So devise plans against me, all of you,

  • 234

    سَیُہۡزَمُ الۡجَمۡعُ وَیُوَلُّوۡنَ الدُّبُرَ

    The hosts shall soon be routed and will turn their backs in flight.

  • 235

    اِنِّیۡ رَسُوۡلُ اللّٰہِ اِلَیۡکُمۡ جَمِیۡعَا

    Truly I am a Messenger to you all from Allah.

  • 235

    فَکِیۡدُوۡنِیۡ جَمِیۡعًا

    So devise plans against me, all of you,

  • 235

    سَیُہۡزَمُ الۡجَمۡعُ وَیُوَلُّوۡنَ الدُّبُرَ

    The hosts shall soon be routed and will turn their backs in flight.

  • 236

    یُحۡیِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِہَا

    Allah is now quickening the earth after its death.

  • 236

    اِنَّا لَہٗ لَحٰفِظُوۡنَ

    most surely We will be its Guardian.

  • 237

    ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتۡ

    and then they have been expounded in detail.

  • 238

    اَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوۡۤا اِلَّا اللّٰہَ

    It teaches that you should worship none but Allah.

  • 238

    وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ الۡجِنَّ وَالۡاِنۡسَ اِلَّا لِیَعۡبُدُوۡنِ

    And I have not created the Jinn and the men but that they may worship Me.

  • 238

    اُکُلُہَا دَآئِمٌ

    its fruit is everlasting,

  • 239

    ہٰذَا الَّذِیۡ رُزِقۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ ۙ وَاُتُوۡا بِہٖ مُتَشَابِہًا

    ‘This is what was given us before,’ and gifts mutually resembling shall be brought to them.

  • 239

    ؕ اِنَّنِیۡ لَکُمۡ مِّنۡہُ نَذِیۡرٌ وَّبَشِیۡرٌ

    I am to you a Warner, and a bearer of glad tidings from Him;

  • 240

    ہٰذَا الَّذِیۡ رُزِقۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ

    ‘This is what was given us before,

  • 240

    قَدۡ اَفۡلَحَ مَنۡ زَکّٰٮہَا

    He indeed truly prospers who purifies it.

  • 240

    مَنۡ کَانَ فِیۡ ہٰذِہٖۤ اَعۡمٰی فَہُوَ فِی الۡاٰخِرَۃِ اَعۡمٰی

    whoso is blind in this world will be blind in the Hereafter

  • 241

    اَنِ اسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡا رَبَّکُمۡ ثُمَّ تُوۡبُوۡۤا اِلَیۡہِ

    that you seek forgiveness of your Lord, and then turn to Him.

  • 242

    تُوۡبُوۡۤا اِلَیۡہِ

    turn to Him.

  • 243

    یُمَتِّعۡکُمۡ مَّتَاعًا حَسَنًا اِلٰۤی اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّی

    He will provide for you a goodly provision until an appointed term.

  • 245

    اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰہَ یُحۡیِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِہَا

    Know that Allah is now quickening the earth after its death.

  • 246

    کُوۡنُوۡا مَعَ الصّٰدِقِیۡنَ

    be with the truthful.

  • 246

    مَنۡ کَانَ فِیۡ ہٰذِہٖۤ اَعۡمٰی

    whoso is blind in this world

  • 247

    لَعَلَّکَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفۡسَکَ اَلَّا یَکُوۡنُوۡا مُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ

    Haply thou wilt grieve thyself to death because they believe not.

  • 9 July 1900

  • 248

    وَاَمَّا مَا یَنۡفَعُ النَّاسَ فَیَمۡکُثُ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ

    but as to that which benefits men, it stays on the earth

  • 250

    وَاَمَّا السَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡہَرۡ

    And him who seeks thy help, chide not,

  • 252

    یَاۡکُلُوۡنَ کَمَا تَاۡکُلُ الۡاَنۡعَامُ

    theyeat even as the cattle eat,

  • 253

    وَالنَّارُ مَثۡوًی لَّہُمۡ

    and the Fire will be their resort.

  • 254

    لَا تَثۡرِیۡبَ عَلَیۡکُمُ الۡیَوۡمَ

    ‘No blame shall lie on you this day;

  • 16 July 1900

  • 257

    اَنۡ تَصُوۡمُوۡا خَیۡرٌ لَّکُمۡ

    fasting is good for you,

  • 257

    ۚ فَیُمۡسِکُ الَّتِیۡ قَضٰی عَلَیۡہَا الۡمَوۡتَ

    And then He retains those against which He has decreed death,

  • 258

    لَوۡ کَانَ مِنۡ عِنۡدِ غَیۡرِ اللّٰہِ لَوَجَدُوۡا فِیۡہِ اخۡتِلَافًا کَثِیۡرًا

    Had it been from anyone other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much disagreement.

  • 258

    حَرٰمٌ عَلٰی قَرۡیَۃٍ اَہۡلَکۡنٰہَاۤ اَنَّہُمۡ لَا یَرۡجِعُوۡنَ

    it is an inviolable law for a township which We have destroyed that they shall not return.

  • 258

    فَمَاذَا بَعۡدَ الۡحَقِّ اِلَّا الضَّلٰلُ

    So what would you have after discarding the truth except error?

  • 260

    لَمۡ یَتَسَنَّہۡ

    they have not rotted.

  • 261

    لَمۡ یَتَسَنَّہۡ

    they have not rotted.

  • 264

    اللّٰہُ رَءُوۡفٌۢ بِالۡعِبَادِ

    Allah is Compassionate to His servants.

  • 264

    مَنۡ اَسۡلَمَ وَجۡہَہٗ لِلّٰہِ وَہُوَ مُحۡسِنٌ فَلَہٗۤ اَجۡرُہٗ عِنۡدَ رَبِّہٖ ۪ وَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَلَا ہُمۡ یَحۡزَنُوۡنَ

    whoever submits himself completely to Allah, and is the doer of good, shall have his reward with his Lord. No fear shall come upon such, neither shall they grieve.

  • 265

    رَبَّنَاۤ اٰتِنَا فِی الدُّنۡیَا حَسَنَۃً وَّفِی الۡاٰخِرَۃِ حَسَنَۃً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

    Our Lord, grant us good in this world as well as good in the world to come, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.

  • 266

    لَّیۡسَ لِلۡاِنۡسَانِ اِلَّا مَا سَعٰی

    man will have nothing but what he strives for

  • 269

    لَنۡ تَنَالُوا الۡبِرَّ حَتّٰی تُنۡفِقُوۡا مِمَّا تُحِبُّوۡنَ

    Never shall you attain to righteousness unless you spend out of that which you love

  • 270

    وَاعۡبُدۡ رَبَّکَ حَتّٰی یَاۡتِیَکَ الۡیَقِیۡنُ

    And continue worshipping thy Lord, till death comes to thee.

  • 272

    فَلَہٗۤ اَجۡرُہٗ عِنۡدَ رَبِّہٖ ۪ وَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَلَا ہُمۡ یَحۡزَنُوۡنَ

    shall have his reward with his Lord. No fear shall come upon such, neither shall they grieve.

  • 273

    اَسۡلَمۡتُ لِرَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ

    ‘I have submitted to the Lord of the worlds.’

  • 273

    وَلَقَدۡ ذَرَاۡنَا لِجَہَنَّمَ کَثِیۡرًا مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ وَالۡاِنۡسِ

    Verily, We have created many of the Jinn and men whose end shall be Hell!

  • 273

    قَلِیۡلٌ مِّنۡ عِبَادِیَ الشَّکُوۡرُ

    few of My servants are grateful.

  • 274

    لَا تَمُوۡتُنَّ اِلَّا وَاَنۡتُمۡ مُّسۡلِمُوۡنَ

    so let not death overtake you except when you are in a state of submission.’

  • 274

    نَارُ اللّٰہِ الۡمُوۡقَدَۃُ

    It is Allah’s kindled fire, Which rises over the hearts.

  • 274

    الَّتِیۡ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَی الۡاَفۡـِٕدَۃِ

    Which rises over the hearts

  • 278

    وَاَمَّا السَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡہَرۡ

    And him who seeks thy help, chide not,

  • 284

    صُمٌّۢ بُکۡمٌ عُمۡیٌ فَہُمۡ لَا یَرۡجِعُوۡنَ

    They are deaf, dumb and blind; so they will not return.

  • 284

    ہُوَ یَتَوَلَّی الصّٰلِحِیۡنَ

    He protects the righteous.

  • 285

    قُلۡ مَا یَعۡبَؤُا بِکُمۡ رَبِّیۡ لَوۡلَا دُعَآؤُکُمۡ

    Say to the disbelievers: ‘But for your prayer to Him my Lord would not care for you
