الَّذِیۡنَ یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡغَیۡبِ وَیُقِیۡمُوۡنَ الصَّلٰوۃَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰہُمۡ یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ ۙ﴿۴﴾

Who believe in the unseen and observe Prayer, and spend

رَبَّنَا وَاجۡعَلۡنَا مُسۡلِمَیۡنِ لَکَ وَمِنۡ ذُرِّیَّتِنَاۤ اُمَّۃً مُّسۡلِمَۃً لَّکَ ۪

‘Our Lord, make us submissive to Thee and make of

قَدۡ نَرٰی تَقَلُّبَ وَجۡہِکَ فِی السَّمَآءِ ۚ فَلَنُوَلِّیَنَّکَ قِبۡلَۃً تَرۡضٰہَا

Verily, We see thee turning thy face often to heaven;

وَاِذَا قِیۡلَ لَہُمُ اتَّبِعُوۡا مَاۤ اَنۡزَلَ اللّٰہُ قَالُوۡا بَلۡ نَتَّبِعُ

And when it is said to them, ‘Follow that which

وَاِذَا قِیۡلَ لَہُمُ اتَّبِعُوۡا مَاۤ اَنۡزَلَ اللّٰہُ قَالُوۡا بَلۡ نَتَّبِعُ

And when it is said to them, ‘Follow that which

یَسۡـَٔلُوۡنَکَ عَنِ الۡاَہِلَّۃِ ؕ قُلۡ ہِیَ مَوَاقِیۡتُ لِلنَّاسِ وَالۡحَجِّ ؕ

They ask thee about the new moons. Say, ‘They are

اِنَّ اَوَّلَ بَیۡتٍ وُّضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِیۡ بِبَکَّۃَ مُبٰرَکًا وَّہُدًی لِّلۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ

Surely, the first House founded for mankind is that at

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِذَا قُمۡتُمۡ اِلَی الصَّلٰوۃِ فَاغۡسِلُوۡا وُجُوۡہَکُمۡ وَاَیۡدِیَکُمۡ

O ye who believe! when you stand up for Prayer,

مَا جَعَلَ اللّٰہُ مِنۡۢ بَحِیۡرَۃٍ وَّلَا سَآئِبَۃٍ وَّلَا وَصِیۡلَۃٍ وَّلَا

Allah has not ordained any ‘Bahirah’ or ‘Sa’ibah’ or ‘Wasilah’

قُلۡ اَغَیۡرَ اللّٰہِ اَتَّخِذُ وَلِیًّا فَاطِرِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَہُوَ یُطۡعِمُ

Say, ‘Shall I take any protector other than Allah, the

وَجَعَلُوۡا لِلّٰہِ شُرَکَآءَ الۡجِنَّ وَخَلَقَہُمۡ وَخَرَقُوۡا لَہٗ بَنِیۡنَ وَبَنٰتٍۭ بِغَیۡرِ

And they hold the Jinn to be partners with Allah,

وَکَذٰلِکَ جَعَلۡنَا لِکُلِّ نَبِیٍّ عَدُوًّا شَیٰطِیۡنَ الۡاِنۡسِ وَالۡجِنِّ یُوۡحِیۡ بَعۡضُہُمۡ

And in like manner have We made for every Prophet

وَکَذٰلِکَ جَعَلۡنَا فِیۡ کُلِّ قَرۡیَۃٍ اَکٰبِرَ مُجۡرِمِیۡہَا لِیَمۡکُرُوۡا فِیۡہَا ؕ

And thus have We made in every town the great

وَیَوۡمَ یَحۡشُرُہُمۡ جَمِیۡعًا ۚ یٰمَعۡشَرَ الۡجِنِّ قَدِ اسۡتَکۡثَرۡتُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاِنۡسِ

And on the day when He will gather them all

یٰمَعۡشَرَ الۡجِنِّ وَالۡاِنۡسِ اَلَمۡ یَاۡتِکُمۡ رُسُلٌ مِّنۡکُمۡ یَقُصُّوۡنَ عَلَیۡکُمۡ اٰیٰتِیۡ

‘O company of Jinn and men! did not Messengers come

وَقَالُوۡا مَا فِیۡ بُطُوۡنِ ہٰذِہِ الۡاَنۡعَامِ خَالِصَۃٌ لِّذُکُوۡرِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلٰۤی

And they say, ‘That which is in the wombs of

قَالَ ادۡخُلُوۡا فِیۡۤ اُمَمٍ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِکُمۡ مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ

He will say, ‘Enter ye into the Fire among the

قُلۡ یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّاسُ اِنِّیۡ رَسُوۡلُ اللّٰہِ اِلَیۡکُمۡ جَمِیۡعَا ۣالَّذِیۡ لَہٗ

Say, ‘O mankind! truly I am a Messenger to you

وَلَقَدۡ ذَرَاۡنَا لِجَہَنَّمَ کَثِیۡرًا مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ وَالۡاِنۡسِ ۫ۖ لَہُمۡ قُلُوۡبٌ

Verily, We have created many of the Jinn and men

وَاِذۡ یَمۡکُرُ بِکَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا لِیُثۡبِتُوۡکَ اَوۡ یَقۡتُلُوۡکَ اَوۡ یُخۡرِجُوۡکَ

And remember the time when the disbelievers plotted against thee

اِلَّا تَنۡصُرُوۡہُ فَقَدۡ نَصَرَہُ اللّٰہُ اِذۡ اَخۡرَجَہُ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا ثَانِیَ

If you help him not, then know that Allah helped

وَامۡرَاَتُہٗ قَآئِمَۃٌ فَضَحِکَتۡ فَبَشَّرۡنٰہَا بِاِسۡحٰقَ ۙ وَمِنۡ وَّرَآءِ اِسۡحٰقَ یَعۡقُوۡبَ

And his wife was standing by, and she too was

اِلَّا مَنۡ رَّحِمَ رَبُّکَ ؕ وَلِذٰلِکَ خَلَقَہُمۡ ؕ وَتَمَّتۡ کَلِمَۃُ

Save those on whom thy Lord has had mercy, and

رَبَّنَاۤ اِنِّیۡۤ اَسۡکَنۡتُ مِنۡ ذُرِّیَّتِیۡ بِوَادٍ غَیۡرِ ذِیۡ زَرۡعٍ عِنۡدَ

‘Our Lord, I have settled some of my children in

فَاصۡدَعۡ بِمَا تُؤۡمَرُ وَاَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ الۡمُشۡرِکِیۡنَ ﴿۹۵﴾

So declare openly that with which thou art commanded and

وَاَوۡحٰی رَبُّکَ اِلَی النَّحۡلِ اَنِ اتَّخِذِیۡ مِنَ الۡجِبَالِ بُیُوۡتًا وَّمِنَ

And thy Lord has inspired the bee, saying, ‘Make thou

ثُمَّ کُلِیۡ مِنۡ کُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ فَاسۡلُکِیۡ سُبُلَ رَبِّکِ ذُلُلًا ؕ

‘Then eat of every kind of fruit, and follow the

وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ اَنَّہُمۡ یَقُوۡلُوۡنَ اِنَّمَا یُعَلِّمُہٗ بَشَرٌ ؕ لِسَانُ الَّذِیۡ

And indeed We know that they say that it is

سُبۡحٰنَ الَّذِیۡۤ اَسۡرٰی بِعَبۡدِہٖ لَیۡلًا مِّنَ الۡمَسۡجِدِ الۡحَرَامِ اِلَی الۡمَسۡجِدِ

Glory be to Him Who carried His servant by night

سُبۡحٰنَ الَّذِیۡۤ اَسۡرٰی بِعَبۡدِہٖ لَیۡلًا مِّنَ الۡمَسۡجِدِ الۡحَرَامِ اِلَی الۡمَسۡجِدِ

Glory be to Him Who carried His servant by night

سُبۡحٰنَ الَّذِیۡۤ اَسۡرٰی بِعَبۡدِہٖ لَیۡلًا مِّنَ الۡمَسۡجِدِ الۡحَرَامِ اِلَی الۡمَسۡجِدِ

Glory be to Him Who carried His servant by night

سُبۡحٰنَ الَّذِیۡۤ اَسۡرٰی بِعَبۡدِہٖ لَیۡلًا مِّنَ الۡمَسۡجِدِ الۡحَرَامِ اِلَی الۡمَسۡجِدِ

Glory be to Him Who carried His servant by night

وَاِذۡ قُلۡنَا لَکَ اِنَّ رَبَّکَ اَحَاطَ بِالنَّاسِ ؕ وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا

And remember the time when We said to thee: ‘Surely,

اَقِمِ الصَّلٰوۃَ لِدُلُوۡکِ الشَّمۡسِ اِلٰی غَسَقِ الَّیۡلِ وَقُرۡاٰنَ الۡفَجۡرِ ؕ

Observe Prayer at the declining and paling of the sun

قُلۡ لَّئِنِ اجۡتَمَعَتِ الۡاِنۡسُ وَالۡجِنُّ عَلٰۤی اَنۡ یَّاۡتُوۡا بِمِثۡلِ ہٰذَا

Say, ‘If mankind and the Jinn gathered together to produce

اَوۡ یَکُوۡنَ لَکَ بَیۡتٌ مِّنۡ زُخۡرُفٍ اَوۡ تَرۡقٰی فِی السَّمَآءِ

‘Or thou have a house of gold or thou ascend

وَاِذۡ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلٰٓئِکَۃِ اسۡجُدُوۡا لِاٰدَمَ فَسَجَدُوۡۤا اِلَّاۤ اِبۡلِیۡسَ ؕ کَانَ

And remember the time when We said to the angels,

وَاِذۡ قَالَ مُوۡسٰی لِفَتٰٮہُ لَاۤ اَبۡرَحُ حَتّٰۤی اَبۡلُغَ مَجۡمَعَ الۡبَحۡرَیۡنِ

And remember the time when Moses said to his young

فَلَمَّا بَلَغَا مَجۡمَعَ بَیۡنِہِمَا نَسِیَا حُوۡتَہُمَا فَاتَّخَذَ سَبِیۡلَہٗ فِی الۡبَحۡرِ

But when they reached the place where the two seas

فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَا قَالَ لِفَتٰٮہُ اٰتِنَا غَدَآءَنَا ۫ لَقَدۡ لَقِیۡنَا مِنۡ

And when they had gone further, he said to his

قَالَ اَرَءَیۡتَ اِذۡ اَوَیۡنَاۤ اِلَی الصَّخۡرَۃِ فَاِنِّیۡ نَسِیۡتُ الۡحُوۡتَ ۫

He replied, ‘Didst thou see, when we betook ourselves to

قَالَ ذٰلِکَ مَا کُنَّا نَبۡغِ ٭ۖ فَارۡتَدَّا عَلٰۤی اٰثَارِہِمَا قَصَصًا

He said, ‘That is what we have been seeking.’ So

فَوَجَدَا عَبۡدًا مِّنۡ عِبَادِنَاۤ اٰتَیۡنٰہُ رَحۡمَۃً مِّنۡ عِنۡدِنَا وَعَلَّمۡنٰہُ مِنۡ

Then found they one of Our servants upon whom We

قَالَ لَہٗ مُوۡسٰی ہَلۡ اَتَّبِعُکَ عَلٰۤی اَنۡ تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمۡتَ

Moses said to him, ‘May I follow thee on condition

قَالَ اِنَّکَ لَنۡ تَسۡتَطِیۡعَ مَعِیَ صَبۡرًا ﴿۶۸﴾

He replied, ‘Thou canst not keep company with me in

وَکَیۡفَ تَصۡبِرُ عَلٰی مَا لَمۡ تُحِطۡ بِہٖ خُبۡرًا ﴿۶۹﴾

‘And how canst thou be patient about things the knowledge

قَالَ سَتَجِدُنِیۡۤ اِنۡ شَآءَ اللّٰہُ صَابِرًا وَّلَاۤ اَعۡصِیۡ لَکَ اَمۡرًا

He said, ‘Thou wilt find me, if Allah please, patient

قَالَ فَاِنِ اتَّبَعۡتَنِیۡ فَلَا تَسۡـَٔلۡنِیۡ عَنۡ شَیۡءٍ حَتّٰۤی اُحۡدِثَ لَکَ

He said, ‘Well, if thou wouldst follow me, then ask

فَانۡطَلَقَا ٝ حَتّٰۤی اِذَا رَکِبَا فِی السَّفِیۡنَۃِ خَرَقَہَا ؕ قَالَ

So they both set out till, when they embarked in

قَالَ اَلَمۡ اَقُلۡ اِنَّکَ لَنۡ تَسۡتَطِیۡعَ مَعِیَ صَبۡرًا ﴿۷۳﴾

He replied, ‘Did I not tell thee that thou wouldst

قَالَ لَا تُؤَاخِذۡنِیۡ بِمَا نَسِیۡتُ وَلَا تُرۡہِقۡنِیۡ مِنۡ اَمۡرِیۡ عُسۡرًا

Moses Said, ‘Take me not to task at my forgetting

فَانۡطَلَقَا ٝ حَتّٰۤی اِذَا لَقِیَا غُلٰمًا فَقَتَلَہٗ ۙ قَالَ اَقَتَلۡتَ

So they journeyed on till, when they met a young

قَالَ اَلَمۡ اَقُلۡ لَّکَ اِنَّکَ لَنۡ تَسۡتَطِیۡعَ مَعِیَ صَبۡرًا ﴿۷۶﴾

He replied, ‘Did I not tell thee that thou wouldst

قَالَ اِنۡ سَاَلۡتُکَ عَنۡ شَیۡءٍۭ بَعۡدَہَا فَلَا تُصٰحِبۡنِیۡ ۚ قَدۡ

Moses said, ‘If I ask thee concerning anything after this,

فَانۡطَلَقَا ٝ حَتّٰۤی اِذَاۤ اَتَیَاۤ اَہۡلَ قَرۡیَۃِ ۣاسۡتَطۡعَمَاۤ اَہۡلَہَا فَاَبَوۡا

So they went on till, when they came to the

قَالَ ہٰذَا فِرَاقُ بَیۡنِیۡ وَبَیۡنِکَ ۚ سَاُنَبِّئُکَ بِتَاۡوِیۡلِ مَا لَمۡ

He said, ‘This is the parting of ways between me

اَمَّا السَّفِیۡنَۃُ فَکَانَتۡ لِمَسٰکِیۡنَ یَعۡمَلُوۡنَ فِی الۡبَحۡرِ فَاَرَدۡتُّ اَنۡ اَعِیۡبَہَا

‘As for the boat, it belonged to certain poor people

وَاَمَّا الۡغُلٰمُ فَکَانَ اَبَوٰہُ مُؤۡمِنَیۡنِ فَخَشِیۡنَاۤ اَنۡ یُّرۡہِقَہُمَا طُغۡیَانًا وَّکُفۡرًا

‘And as for the youth, his parents were believers, and

فَاَرَدۡنَاۤ اَنۡ یُّبۡدِلَہُمَا رَبُّہُمَا خَیۡرًا مِّنۡہُ زَکٰوۃً وَّاَقۡرَبَ رُحۡمًا ﴿۸۲﴾

‘So we desired that their Lord should give them in

وَاَمَّا الۡجِدَارُ فَکَانَ لِغُلٰمَیۡنِ یَتِیۡمَیۡنِ فِی الۡمَدِیۡنَۃِ وَکَانَ تَحۡتَہٗ کَنۡزٌ

‘And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan

تَکَادُ السَّمٰوٰتُ یَتَفَطَّرۡنَ مِنۡہُ وَتَنۡشَقُّ الۡاَرۡضُ وَتَخِرُّ الۡجِبَالُ ہَدًّا ﴿ۙ۹۱﴾

The heavens might well-nigh burst thereat, and the earth cleave

اِنَّنِیۡۤ اَنَا اللّٰہُ لَاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّاۤ اَنَا فَاعۡبُدۡنِیۡ ۙ وَاَقِمِ

‘Verily, I am Allah; there is no God beside Me.

اِنَّ السَّاعَۃَ اٰتِیَۃٌ اَکَادُ اُخۡفِیۡہَا لِتُجۡزٰی کُلُّ نَفۡسٍۭ بِمَا تَسۡعٰی

‘Surely, the Hour is coming; I am going to manifest

اِنَّکُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰہِ حَصَبُ جَہَنَّمَ ؕ اَنۡتُمۡ

‘Surely, you and that which you worship beside Allah are

اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَالَّذِیۡنَ ہَادُوۡا وَالصّٰبِئِیۡنَ وَالنَّصٰرٰی وَالۡمَجُوۡسَ وَالَّذِیۡنَ اَشۡرَکُوۡۤا

As to those who believe, and the Jews, and the

وَاِذۡ بَوَّاۡنَا لِاِبۡرٰہِیۡمَ مَکَانَ الۡبَیۡتِ اَنۡ لَّا تُشۡرِکۡ بِیۡ شَیۡئًا

And remember the time when We assigned to Abraham the

وَاَذِّنۡ فِی النَّاسِ بِالۡحَجِّ یَاۡتُوۡکَ رِجَالًا وَّعَلٰی کُلِّ ضَامِرٍ یَّاۡتِیۡنَ

‘And proclaim unto mankind the Pilgrimage. They will come to

وَالۡبُدۡنَ جَعَلۡنٰہَا لَکُمۡ مِّنۡ شَعَآئِرِ اللّٰہِ لَکُمۡ فِیۡہَا خَیۡرٌ ٭ۖ

And among the sacred Signs of Allah We have appointed

لَنۡ یَّنَالَ اللّٰہَ لُحُوۡمُہَا وَلَا دِمَآؤُہَا وَلٰکِنۡ یَّنَالُہُ التَّقۡوٰی مِنۡکُمۡ

Their flesh reaches not Allah, nor does their blood, but

وَجَاہِدُوۡا فِی اللّٰہِ حَقَّ جِہَادِہٖ ؕ ہُوَ اجۡتَبٰٮکُمۡ وَمَا جَعَلَ

And strive in the cause of Allah as it behoves

وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ سُلٰلَۃٍ مِّنۡ طِیۡنٍ ﴿ۚ۱۳﴾

Verily, We created man from an extract of clay;

ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنٰہُ نُطۡفَۃً فِیۡ قَرَارٍ مَّکِیۡنٍ ﴿۪۱۴﴾

Then We placed him as a drop of sperm in

ثُمَّ خَلَقۡنَا النُّطۡفَۃَ عَلَقَۃً فَخَلَقۡنَا الۡعَلَقَۃَ مُضۡغَۃً فَخَلَقۡنَا الۡمُضۡغَۃَ عِظٰمًا

Then We fashioned the sperm into a clot; then We

اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ جَآءُوۡ بِالۡاِفۡکِ عُصۡبَۃٌ مِّنۡکُمۡ ؕ لَا تَحۡسَبُوۡہُ شَرًّا

Verily, those who brought forth the lie are a party

وَقُلۡ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ یَغۡضُضۡنَ مِنۡ اَبۡصَارِہِنَّ وَیَحۡفَظۡنَ فُرُوۡجَہُنَّ وَلَا یُبۡدِیۡنَ زِیۡنَتَہُنَّ

And say to the believing women that they restrain their

یُقَلِّبُ اللّٰہُ الَّیۡلَ وَالنَّہَارَ ؕ اِنَّ فِیۡ ذٰلِکَ لَعِبۡرَۃً لِّاُولِی

Allah alternates the night and the day. Therein surely is

وَاَنۡذِرۡ عَشِیۡرَتَکَ الۡاَقۡرَبِیۡنَ ﴿۲۱۵﴾ۙ

And warn thy nearest kinsmen,

وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَیۡمٰنَ جُنُوۡدُہٗ مِنَ الۡجِنِّ وَالۡاِنۡسِ وَالطَّیۡرِ فَہُمۡ یُوۡزَعُوۡنَ ﴿۱۸﴾

And there were gathered together unto Solomon his hosts of

قَالَ عِفۡرِیۡتٌ مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ اَنَا اٰتِیۡکَ بِہٖ قَبۡلَ اَنۡ تَقُوۡمَ

Said a stalwart from among the Jinn: ‘I will bring

وَمَا کُنۡتَ تَتۡلُوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلِہٖ مِنۡ کِتٰبٍ وَّلَا تَخُطُّہٗ بِیَمِیۡنِکَ

And thou didst not recite any Book before it, nor

غُلِبَتِ الرُّوۡمُ ۙ﴿۳﴾

The Romans have been defeated,

فِیۡۤ اَدۡنَی الۡاَرۡضِ وَہُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ غَلَبِہِمۡ سَیَغۡلِبُوۡنَ ۙ﴿۴﴾

In the land nearby, and they, after their defeat, will

فِیۡ بِضۡعِ سِنِیۡنَ ۬ؕ لِلّٰہِ الۡاَمۡرُ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ وَمِنۡۢ بَعۡدُ

In a few years — Allah’s is the command before

ظَہَرَ الۡفَسَادُ فِی الۡبَرِّ وَالۡبَحۡرِ بِمَا کَسَبَتۡ اَیۡدِی النَّاسِ لِیُذِیۡقَہُمۡ

Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what

وَلَوۡ شِئۡنَا لَاٰتَیۡنَا کُلَّ نَفۡسٍ ہُدٰٮہَا وَلٰکِنۡ حَقَّ الۡقَوۡلُ مِنِّیۡ

And if We had enforced Our will, We could have

مَا جَعَلَ اللّٰہُ لِرَجُلٍ مِّنۡ قَلۡبَیۡنِ فِیۡ جَوۡفِہٖ ۚ وَمَا

Allah has not made for any man two hearts in

وَاِذۡ تَقُوۡلُ لِلَّذِیۡۤ اَنۡعَمَ اللّٰہُ عَلَیۡہِ وَاَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِ اَمۡسِکۡ عَلَیۡکَ

And remember when thou didst say to him on whom

مَا کَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ اَبَاۤ اَحَدٍ مِّنۡ رِّجَالِکُمۡ وَلٰکِنۡ رَّسُوۡلَ اللّٰہِ

Muhammad is not the father of any of your men,

وَلِسُلَیۡمٰنَ الرِّیۡحَ غُدُوُّہَا شَہۡرٌ وَّرَوَاحُہَا شَہۡرٌ ۚ وَاَسَلۡنَا لَہٗ عَیۡنَ

And to Solomon We subjected the wind; its morning course

فَلَمَّا قَضَیۡنَا عَلَیۡہِ الۡمَوۡتَ مَا دَلَّہُمۡ عَلٰی مَوۡتِہٖۤ اِلَّا دَآبَّۃُ

And when We decreed his (Solomon’s) death, nothing pointed out

قَالُوۡا سُبۡحٰنَکَ اَنۡتَ وَلِیُّنَا مِنۡ دُوۡنِہِمۡ ۚ بَلۡ کَانُوۡا یَعۡبُدُوۡنَ

They will say, ‘Holy art Thou. Thou art our Protector

اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنٰکَ بِالۡحَقِّ بَشِیۡرًا وَّنَذِیۡرًا ؕ وَاِنۡ مِّنۡ اُمَّۃٍ اِلَّا

Verily, We have sent thee with the truth, as a

یٰحَسۡرَۃً عَلَی الۡعِبَادِ ۚؑ مَا یَاۡتِیۡہِمۡ مِّنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ اِلَّا کَانُوۡا

Alas for My servants! there comes not a Messenger to

فَبَشَّرۡنٰہُ بِغُلٰمٍ حَلِیۡمٍ ﴿۱۰۲﴾

So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing

فَبَشَّرۡنٰہُ بِغُلٰمٍ حَلِیۡمٍ ﴿۱۰۲﴾

So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing

فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَہُ السَّعۡیَ قَالَ یٰبُنَیَّ اِنِّیۡۤ اَرٰی فِی الۡمَنَامِ

And when he was old enough to work with him,

فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَہُ السَّعۡیَ قَالَ یٰبُنَیَّ اِنِّیۡۤ اَرٰی فِی الۡمَنَامِ

And when he was old enough to work with him,

فَلَمَّاۤ اَسۡلَمَا وَتَلَّہٗ لِلۡجَبِیۡنِ ﴿۱۰۴﴾ۚ

And when they both submitted to the Will of God,

فَلَمَّاۤ اَسۡلَمَا وَتَلَّہٗ لِلۡجَبِیۡنِ ﴿۱۰۴﴾ۚ

And when they both submitted to the Will of God,

وَنَادَیۡنٰہُ اَنۡ یّٰۤاِبۡرٰہِیۡمُ ﴿۱۰۵﴾ۙ

We called to him: ‘O Abraham,

وَنَادَیۡنٰہُ اَنۡ یّٰۤاِبۡرٰہِیۡمُ ﴿۱۰۵﴾ۙ

We called to him: ‘O Abraham,

قَدۡ صَدَّقۡتَ الرُّءۡیَا ۚ اِنَّا کَذٰلِکَ نَجۡزِی الۡمُحۡسِنِیۡنَ ﴿۱۰۶﴾

‘Thou hast indeed fulfilled the dream.’ Thus indeed do We

قَدۡ صَدَّقۡتَ الرُّءۡیَا ۚ اِنَّا کَذٰلِکَ نَجۡزِی الۡمُحۡسِنِیۡنَ ﴿۱۰۶﴾

‘Thou hast indeed fulfilled the dream.’ Thus indeed do We

اِنَّ ہٰذَا لَہُوَ الۡبَلٰٓـؤُا الۡمُبِیۡنُ ﴿۱۰۷﴾

That surely was a manifest trial.

اِنَّ ہٰذَا لَہُوَ الۡبَلٰٓـؤُا الۡمُبِیۡنُ ﴿۱۰۷﴾

That surely was a manifest trial.

وَفَدَیۡنٰہُ بِذِبۡحٍ عَظِیۡمٍ ﴿۱۰۸﴾

And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice.

وَفَدَیۡنٰہُ بِذِبۡحٍ عَظِیۡمٍ ﴿۱۰۸﴾

And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice.

وَفَدَیۡنٰہُ بِذِبۡحٍ عَظِیۡمٍ ﴿۱۰۸﴾

And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice.

وَبَشَّرۡنٰہُ بِاِسۡحٰقَ نَبِیًّا مِّنَ الصّٰلِحِیۡنَ ﴿۱۱۳﴾

And We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a

وَقَیَّضۡنَا لَہُمۡ قُرَنَآءَ فَزَیَّنُوۡا لَہُمۡ مَّا بَیۡنَ اَیۡدِیۡہِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَہُمۡ

And We had assigned for them companions who made to

وَقَالَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا لَا تَسۡمَعُوۡا لِہٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنِ وَالۡغَوۡا فِیۡہِ لَعَلَّکُمۡ

And those who disbelieve say: ‘Listen not to this Qur’an,

وَقَالَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا رَبَّنَاۤ اَرِنَا الَّذَیۡنِ اَضَلّٰنَا مِنَ الۡجِنِّ وَالۡاِنۡسِ

And those who disbelieve will say, ‘Our Lord, show us

وَمِنۡ اٰیٰتِہِ الَّیۡلُ وَالنَّہَارُ وَالشَّمۡسُ وَالۡقَمَرُ ؕ لَا تَسۡجُدُوۡا لِلشَّمۡسِ

And among His Signs are the night and the day

وَمَا کَانَ لِبَشَرٍ اَنۡ یُّکَلِّمَہُ اللّٰہُ اِلَّا وَحۡیًا اَوۡ مِنۡ

And it is not for a man that Allah should

وَقَالُوۡا لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَ ہٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنُ عَلٰی رَجُلٍ مِّنَ الۡقَرۡیَتَیۡنِ عَظِیۡمٍ

And they say, ‘Why has not this Qur’an been sent

وَقَالُوۡا لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَ ہٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنُ عَلٰی رَجُلٍ مِّنَ الۡقَرۡیَتَیۡنِ عَظِیۡمٍ

And they say, ‘Why has not this Qur’an been sent

وَاِذۡ صَرَفۡنَاۤ اِلَیۡکَ نَفَرًا مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ یَسۡتَمِعُوۡنَ الۡقُرۡاٰنَ ۚ فَلَمَّا

And remember when We turned towards thee a party of

وَاِذۡ صَرَفۡنَاۤ اِلَیۡکَ نَفَرًا مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ یَسۡتَمِعُوۡنَ الۡقُرۡاٰنَ ۚ فَلَمَّا

And remember when We turned towards thee a party of

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِنۡ جَآءَکُمۡ فَاسِقٌۢ بِنَبَاٍ فَتَبَیَّنُوۡۤا اَنۡ تُصِیۡبُوۡا

O ye who believe! if an unrighteous person brings you

وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ الۡجِنَّ وَالۡاِنۡسَ اِلَّا لِیَعۡبُدُوۡنِ ﴿۵۷﴾

And I have not created the Jinn and the men

عَلَّمَہٗ شَدِیۡدُ الۡقُوٰی ۙ﴿۶﴾

The Lord of mighty powers has taught him,

ذُوۡ مِرَّۃٍ ؕ فَاسۡتَوٰی ۙ﴿۷﴾

The One Possessor of strength. So He manifested His ascendance

وَہُوَ بِالۡاُفُقِ الۡاَعۡلٰی ؕ﴿۸﴾

And He revealed His Word when he was on the

ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلّٰی ۙ﴿۹﴾

Then he drew nearer to God; then he came down

ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلّٰی ۙ﴿۹﴾

Then he drew nearer to God; then he came down

فَکَانَ قَابَ قَوۡسَیۡنِ اَوۡ اَدۡنٰی ۚ﴿۱۰﴾

So that he became, as it were, one chord to

فَکَانَ قَابَ قَوۡسَیۡنِ اَوۡ اَدۡنٰی ۚ﴿۱۰﴾

So that he became, as it were, one chord to

فَاَوۡحٰۤی اِلٰی عَبۡدِہٖ مَاۤ اَوۡحٰی ﴿ؕ۱۱﴾

Then He revealed to His servant that which He revealed.

فَاَوۡحٰۤی اِلٰی عَبۡدِہٖ مَاۤ اَوۡحٰی ﴿ؕ۱۱﴾

Then He revealed to His servant that which He revealed.

مَا کَذَبَ الۡفُؤَادُ مَا رَاٰی ﴿۱۲﴾

The heart of the Prophet was not untrue to that

مَا کَذَبَ الۡفُؤَادُ مَا رَاٰی ﴿۱۲﴾

The heart of the Prophet was not untrue to that

مَا کَذَبَ الۡفُؤَادُ مَا رَاٰی ﴿۱۲﴾

The heart of the Prophet was not untrue to that

اَفَتُمٰرُوۡنَہٗ عَلٰی مَا یَرٰی ﴿۱۳﴾

Will you then dispute with him about what he saw?

اَفَتُمٰرُوۡنَہٗ عَلٰی مَا یَرٰی ﴿۱۳﴾

Will you then dispute with him about what he saw?

وَلَقَدۡ رَاٰہُ نَزۡلَۃً اُخۡرٰی ﴿ۙ۱۴﴾

And certainly, he saw Him a second time also,

وَلَقَدۡ رَاٰہُ نَزۡلَۃً اُخۡرٰی ﴿ۙ۱۴﴾

And certainly, he saw Him a second time also,

عِنۡدَ سِدۡرَۃِ الۡمُنۡتَہٰی ﴿۱۵﴾

Near the farthest Lote-tree,

عِنۡدَ سِدۡرَۃِ الۡمُنۡتَہٰی ﴿۱۵﴾

Near the farthest Lote-tree,

عِنۡدَہَا جَنَّۃُ الۡمَاۡوٰی ﴿ؕ۱۶﴾

Near which is the Garden of Eternal Abode.

عِنۡدَہَا جَنَّۃُ الۡمَاۡوٰی ﴿ؕ۱۶﴾

Near which is the Garden of Eternal Abode.

اِذۡ یَغۡشَی السِّدۡرَۃَ مَا یَغۡشٰی ﴿ۙ۱۷﴾

This was when that which covers covered the Lote-tree.

اِذۡ یَغۡشَی السِّدۡرَۃَ مَا یَغۡشٰی ﴿ۙ۱۷﴾

This was when that which covers covered the Lote-tree.

مَا زَاغَ الۡبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغٰی ﴿۱۸﴾

The eye deviated not, nor did it wander.

مَا زَاغَ الۡبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغٰی ﴿۱۸﴾

The eye deviated not, nor did it wander.

لَقَدۡ رَاٰی مِنۡ اٰیٰتِ رَبِّہِ الۡکُبۡرٰی ﴿۱۹﴾

Surely, he saw the greatest of the Signs of his

لَقَدۡ رَاٰی مِنۡ اٰیٰتِ رَبِّہِ الۡکُبۡرٰی ﴿۱۹﴾

Surely, he saw the greatest of the Signs of his

اَفَرَءَیۡتُمُ اللّٰتَ وَالۡعُزّٰی ﴿ۙ۲۰﴾

Now tell me about Lat and ‘Uzza,

وَمَنٰوۃَ الثَّالِثَۃَ الۡاُخۡرٰی ﴿۲۱﴾

And Manat, the third one, another goddess!

فَاسۡجُدُوۡا لِلّٰہِ وَاعۡبُدُوۡا ﴿٪ٛ۶۳﴾

So prostrate yourselves before Allah, and worship Him.

فَاسۡجُدُوۡا لِلّٰہِ وَاعۡبُدُوۡا ﴿٪ٛ۶۳﴾

So prostrate yourselves before Allah, and worship Him.

اِقۡتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَۃُ وَانۡشَقَّ الۡقَمَرُ ﴿۲﴾

The Hour has drawn nigh, and the moon is rent

وَاِنۡ یَّرَوۡا اٰیَۃً یُّعۡرِضُوۡا وَیَقُوۡلُوۡا سِحۡرٌ مُّسۡتَمِرٌّ ﴿۳﴾

And if they see a Sign, they turn away and

وَکَذَّبُوۡا وَاتَّبَعُوۡۤا اَہۡوَآءَہُمۡ وَکُلُّ اَمۡرٍ مُّسۡتَقِرٌّ ﴿۴﴾

They reject the truth and follow their own fancies. But

وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَہُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَنۡۢبَآءِ مَا فِیۡہِ مُزۡدَجَرٌ ۙ﴿۵﴾

And there has already come to them the great news

یٰمَعۡشَرَ الۡجِنِّ وَالۡاِنۡسِ اِنِ اسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ اَنۡ تَنۡفُذُوۡا مِنۡ اَقۡطَارِ السَّمٰوٰتِ

O company of Jinn and men! if you have power

اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰہَ یُحۡیِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِہَا ؕ قَدۡ بَیَّنَّا

Know that Allah is now quickening the earth after its

یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّبِیُّ اِذَا جَآءَکَ الۡمُؤۡمِنٰتُ یُبَایِعۡنَکَ عَلٰۤی اَنۡ لَّا یُشۡرِکۡنَ

O Prophet! when believing women come to thee, taking the

وَدُّوۡا لَوۡ تُدۡہِنُ فَیُدۡہِنُوۡنَ ﴿۱۰﴾

They wish that thou shouldst be pliant so that they

بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ ﴿۱﴾

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

قُلۡ اُوۡحِیَ اِلَیَّ اَنَّہُ اسۡتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ فَقَالُوۡۤا اِنَّا

Say, “It has been revealed to me that a company

قُلۡ اُوۡحِیَ اِلَیَّ اَنَّہُ اسۡتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ فَقَالُوۡۤا اِنَّا

Say, “It has been revealed to me that a company

وَّاَنَّا ظَنَنَّاۤ اَنۡ لَّنۡ تَقُوۡلَ الۡاِنۡسُ وَالۡجِنُّ عَلَی اللّٰہِ کَذِبًا

‘And we thought that men and Jinn would never speak

وَّاَنَّہٗ کَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ الۡاِنۡسِ یَعُوۡذُوۡنَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ فَزَادُوۡہُمۡ

‘And indeed some men from among the common folk used

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الۡمُدَّثِّرُ ۙ﴿۲﴾

O thou that has wrapped thyself with thy mantle!

قُمۡ فَاَنۡذِرۡ ۪ۙ﴿۳﴾

Arise and warn.

وَرَبَّکَ فَکَبِّرۡ ۪﴿ۙ۴﴾

And thy Lord do thou magnify.

وَثِیَابَکَ فَطَہِّرۡ ۪﴿ۙ۵﴾

And thy heart do thou purify,

وَالرُّجۡزَ فَاہۡجُرۡ ۪﴿ۙ۶﴾

And uncleanliness do thou shun,

اَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقۡکُّمۡ مِّنۡ مَّآءٍ مَّہِیۡنٍ ﴿ۙ۲۱﴾

Did We not create you from an insignificant fluid,

فَجَعَلۡنٰہُ فِیۡ قَرَارٍ مَّکِیۡنٍ ﴿ۙ۲۲﴾

And We placed it in a safe place,

اِلٰی قَدَرٍ مَّعۡلُوۡمٍ ﴿ۙ۲۳﴾

For a known measure of time?

فَقَدَرۡنَا ٭ۖ فَنِعۡمَ الۡقٰدِرُوۡنَ ﴿۲۴﴾

Thus did We measure, and how excellently do We measure!

وَیۡلٌ یَّوۡمَئِذٍ لِّلۡمُکَذِّبِیۡنَ ﴿۲۵﴾

Woe on that day unto those who reject the truth!

اَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ الۡاَرۡضَ کِفَاتًا ﴿ۙ۲۶﴾

Have We not made the earth so as to hold

اَحۡیَآءً وَّاَمۡوَاتًا ﴿ۙ۲۷﴾

The living and the dead?

عَبَسَ وَتَوَلّٰۤی ۙ﴿۲﴾

He frowned and turned aside,

اَنۡ جَآءَہُ الۡاَعۡمٰی ؕ﴿۳﴾

Because there came to him the blind man.

وَمَا یُدۡرِیۡکَ لَعَلَّہٗ یَزَّکّٰۤی ۙ﴿۴﴾

And what makes thee know that he may be seeking

اَوۡ یَذَّکَّرُ فَتَنۡفَعَہُ الذِّکۡرٰی ؕ﴿۵﴾

Or he may take heed and the Reminder may benefit

اَمَّا مَنِ اسۡتَغۡنٰی ۙ﴿۶﴾

As for him who is disdainfully indifferent.

فَاَنۡتَ لَہٗ تَصَدّٰی ؕ﴿۷﴾

Unto him thou dost pay attention,

وَمَا عَلَیۡکَ اَلَّا یَزَّکّٰی ؕ﴿۸﴾

Though thou art not responsible if he does not become

وَاَمَّا مَنۡ جَآءَکَ یَسۡعٰی ۙ﴿۹﴾

But he who comes to thee hastening,

وَہُوَ یَخۡشٰی ۙ﴿۱۰﴾

And he fears God,

اَلَمۡ یَجِدۡکَ یَتِیۡمًا فَاٰوٰی ۪﴿۷﴾

Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee

وَوَجَدَکَ ضَآلًّا فَہَدٰی ۪﴿۸﴾

And He found thee wandering in search for Him and

وَوَجَدَکَ ضَآلًّا فَہَدٰی ۪﴿۸﴾

And He found thee wandering in search for Him and

وَوَجَدَکَ عَآئِلًا فَاَغۡنٰی ؕ﴿۹﴾

And He found thee in want and enriched thee.

فَاَمَّا الۡیَتِیۡمَ فَلَا تَقۡہَرۡ ؕ﴿۱۰﴾

So the orphan, oppress not,

اِقۡرَاۡ بِاسۡمِ رَبِّکَ الَّذِیۡ خَلَقَ ۚ﴿۲﴾

Convey thou in the name of thy Lord Who created,

خَلَقَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍ ۚ﴿۳﴾

Created man from a clot of blood.

اِقۡرَاۡ وَرَبُّکَ الۡاَکۡرَمُ ۙ﴿۴﴾

Convey! And thy Lord is Most Generous,

الَّذِیۡ عَلَّمَ بِالۡقَلَمِ ۙ﴿۵﴾

Who taught man by the pen,

عَلَّمَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ مَا لَمۡ یَعۡلَمۡ ؕ﴿۶﴾

Taught man what he knew not.

فِیۡہَا کُتُبٌ قَیِّمَۃٌ ؕ﴿۴﴾

Therein are lasting commandments.

اَلَمۡ تَرَ کَیۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّکَ بِاَصۡحٰبِ الۡفِیۡلِ ؕ﴿۲﴾

Hast thou not seen how thy Lord dealt with the

اَلَمۡ یَجۡعَلۡ کَیۡدَہُمۡ فِیۡ تَضۡلِیۡلٍ ۙ﴿۳﴾

Did He not cause their plan to miscarry?

وَّاَرۡسَلَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ طَیۡرًا اَبَابِیۡلَ ۙ﴿۴﴾

And He sent against them swarms of birds,

تَرۡمِیۡہِمۡ بِحِجَارَۃٍ مِّنۡ سِجِّیۡلٍ ۪ۙ﴿۵﴾

Which ate their carrion, striking them against stones of clay.

فَجَعَلَہُمۡ کَعَصۡفٍ مَّاۡکُوۡلٍ ﴿٪۶﴾

And thus made them like broken straw, eaten up.

فَوَیۡلٌ لِّلۡمُصَلِّیۡنَ ۙ﴿۵﴾

So woe to those who pray,

الَّذِیۡنَ ہُمۡ عَنۡ صَلَاتِہِمۡ سَاہُوۡنَ ۙ﴿۶﴾

But are unmindful of their Prayer.

الَّذِیۡنَ ہُمۡ یُرَآءُوۡنَ ۙ﴿۷﴾

They like to be seen of men,

وَیَمۡنَعُوۡنَ الۡمَاعُوۡنَ ﴿٪۸﴾

And withhold legal alms.

اِنَّاۤ اَعۡطَیۡنٰکَ الۡکَوۡثَرَ ؕ﴿۲﴾

Surely We have given thee abundance of good;

فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّکَ وَانۡحَرۡ ؕ﴿۳﴾

So pray to thy Lord, and offer sacrifice.

اِنَّ شَانِئَکَ ہُوَ الۡاَبۡتَرُ ﴿٪۴﴾

Surely, it is thy enemy who is without issue.

قُلۡ یٰۤاَیُّہَا الۡکٰفِرُوۡنَ ۙ﴿۲﴾

Say, ‘O ye disbelievers!

لَاۤ اَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ ۙ﴿۳﴾

‘I worship not that which you worship;

وَلَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ عٰبِدُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَعۡبُدُ ۚ﴿۴﴾

‘Nor worship you what I worship.

وَلَاۤ اَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدۡتُّمۡ ۙ﴿۵﴾

‘And I am not going to worship that which you

وَلَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ عٰبِدُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَعۡبُدُ ؕ﴿۶﴾

‘Nor will you worship what I worship.

لَکُمۡ دِیۡنُکُمۡ وَلِیَ دِیۡنِ ﴿٪۷﴾

‘For you your religion, and for me my religion.’

مِنَ الۡجِنَّۃِ وَالنَّاسِ ﴿٪۷﴾

‘From among the Jinn and mankind.’
