أُجِيبُ دَعۡوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ

I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he prays to Me.

قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن زَكَّىٰهَا

He indeed truly prospers who purifies it,

قُل رَّبِّ زِدۡنِي عِلۡمٗا

Say, ‘O my Lord, increase me in knowledge.’

مَا كَانَ مَعَهُۥ مِنۡ إِلَٰهٍ ۚ

Nor is there any other God along with Him.

يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth glorifies Allah.

مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَآ أَحَدٖ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمۡ وَلَٰكِن رَّسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٗا

Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets; and Allah has full knowledge of all things.

لَٰكِن رَّسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ ۗ

But he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets.

لَتُؤۡمِنُنَّ بِهِۦ وَلَتَنصُرُنَّهُۥ ۚ

There comes to you a Messenger, fulfilling that which is with you.

ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ وَأَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمَ دِينٗا ۚ

This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as religion.

ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ وَأَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمَ دِينٗا ۚ

This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as religion.

بَلَىٰ ۚ مَنۡ أَسۡلَمَ وَجۡهَهُۥ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحۡسِنٞ فَلَهُۥٓ أَجۡرُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ وَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ

Nay, whoever submits himself completely to Allah, and is the doer of good, shall have his reward with his Lord. No fear shall come upon such, neither shall they grieve.

وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَيۡهِ مِنۡ حَبۡلِ ٱلۡوَرِيدِ

And We are nearer to him than even his jugular vein.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُواْ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْ تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ أَلَّا تَخَافُواْ وَلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ وَأَبۡشِرُواْ بِٱلۡجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِي كُنتُمۡ تُوعَدُونَ

As for those who say, ‘Our Lord is Allah,’ and then remain steadfast, the angels descend on them, saying: ‘Fear ye not, nor grieve; and rejoice in the Garden that you were promised.

مَنۡ أَسۡلَمَ وَجۡهَهُۥ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحۡسِنٞ فَلَهُۥٓ أَجۡرُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِ

Whoever submits himself completely to Allah, and is the doer of good, shall have his reward with his Lord

وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ

Nor does he speak out of his own desire.

إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحۡيٞ يُوحَىٰ

It is nothing but pure revelation that has been revealed by God.

تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ أَلَّا تَخَافُواْ وَلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ

The angels descend on them, saying: ‘Fear ye not, nor grieve;

وَمَن كَانَ فِي هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَعۡمَىٰ فَهُوَ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَعۡمَىٰ

But whoso is blind in this world will be blind in the Hereafter.

مَن كَانَ يَرۡجُواْ لِقَآءَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلۡيَعۡمَلۡ عَمَلٗا صَٰلِحٗا وَلَا يُشۡرِكۡ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَحَدَۢا

Let him who hopes to meet his Lord do good deeds, and let him join no one in the worship of his Lord.

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

Say, ‘He is Allah, the One;

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ

‘Allah, the Independent and Besought of all.

لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ

‘He begets not, nor is He begotten;

وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ

‘And there is none like unto Him.’

لَيۡسَ كَمِثۡلِهِۦ شَيۡءٞ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡبَصِيرُ

There is nothing whatever like unto Him; and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡحَيُّ ٱلۡقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأۡخُذُهُۥ سِنَةٞ وَلَا نَوۡمٞ ۚ لَّهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۗ مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِي يَشۡفَعُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِهِۦ ۚ يَعۡلَمُ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيۡءٖ مِّنۡ عِلۡمِهِۦٓ إِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرۡسِيُّهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ ۖ وَلَا يَـُٔودُهُۥ حِفۡظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَلِيُّ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ

Allah — there is no God but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. Slumber seizes Him not, nor sleep. To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that will intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them; and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He pleases. His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth; and the care of them burdens Him not; and He is the High, the Great.

إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٖ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ۖ

Surely, your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods; then He settled Himself on the Throne.

قُلۡ مَن يَكۡلَؤُكُم بِٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ مِنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ۚ

Say, ‘Who can protect you by night and by day from the Gracious God?’

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُواْ وَجَٰهَدُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ يَرۡجُونَ رَحۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ

Those who believe and those who emigrate and strive hard in the cause of Allah, it is these who hope for Allah’s mercy; and Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.

وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرۡتُ وَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

And so am I commanded, and I am the first of those who submit.

إِذَا جَآءَ نَصۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡفَتۡحُ

When the help of Allah comes, and the victory,

وَرَأَيۡتَ ٱلنَّاسَ يَدۡخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ ٱللَّهِ أَفۡوَاجٗا

And thou seest men entering the religion of Allah in troops,

فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابَۢا

Glorify thy Lord, with His praise, and seek forgiveness of Him. Surely He is Oft-Returning with compassion.

مَّا فَرَّطۡنَا فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مِن شَيۡءٖ ۚ

We have left out nothing in the Book.

لَوۡ أَنزَلۡنَا هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ عَلَىٰ جَبَلٖ لَّرَأَيۡتَهُۥ خَٰشِعٗا مُّتَصَدِّعٗا مِّنۡ خَشۡيَةِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَتِلۡكَ ٱلۡأَمۡثَٰلُ نَضۡرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

If We had sent down this Qur’an on a mountain, thou wouldst certainly have seen it humbled and rent asunder for fear of Allah. And these are similitudes that We set forth for mankind that they may reflect.

وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ إِلَّا رَحۡمَةٗ لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

And We have sent thee not but as a mercy for all peoples.

يَتۡلُواْ صُحُفٗا مُّطَهَّرَةٗ

Reciting unto them the pure Scriptures.

فِيهَا كُتُبٞ قَيِّمَةٞ

Therein are lasting commandments.

كِتَٰبٌ أُحۡكِمَتۡ ءَايَٰتُهُۥ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتۡ مِن لَّدُنۡ حَكِيمٍ خَبِيرٍ

This is a Book whose verses have been made unchangeable and then they have been expounded in detail. It is from One Wise, and All-Aware.

إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلٞ فَصۡلٞ

It is surely a decisive word,

وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلۡهَزۡلِ

And it is not a useless talk.

وَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

And We have not sent down to thee the Book except that thou mayest explain to them that concerning which they differ, and as a guidance, and a mercy for a people who believe.

هُدٗى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَٰتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَٱلۡفُرۡقَانِ ۚ

A guidance for mankind with clear proofs of guidance and discrimination.

وَنَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ تِبۡيَٰنٗا لِّكُلِّ شَيۡءٖ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ وَبُشۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

And We have sent down to thee the Book to explain everything, and a guidance, and a mercy, and glad tidings to those who submit to God.

الٓر ۚ كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَيۡكَ لِتُخۡرِجَ ٱلنَّاسَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ

Alif Lam Ra. This is a Book which We have revealed to thee that thou mayest bring mankind out of every kind of darkness into light,

مَا كَانَ حَدِيثٗا يُفۡتَرَىٰ وَلَٰكِن تَصۡدِيقَ ٱلَّذِي بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ وَتَفۡصِيلَ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

It is not a thing that has been forged, but a fulfilment of that which is before it and a detailed exposition of all things, and a guidance and a mercy to a people who believe.

لَيۡسَ كَمِثۡلِهِۦ شَيۡءٞ ۖ

There is nothing whatever like unto Him.

كُلَّ يَوۡمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأۡنٖ

Every day He reveals Himself in a different state.

هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَٰلِمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ۖ هُوَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

He is Allah, and there is no God beside Him, the Knower of the unseen and the seen. He is the Gracious, the Merciful.

مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

Master of the Day of Judgment.

هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱلۡقُدُّوسُ ٱلسَّلَٰمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُ ٱلۡمُهَيۡمِنُ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡجَبَّارُ ٱلۡمُتَكَبِّرُ ۚ

He is Allah, and there is no God beside Him, the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace, the Bestower of Security, the Protector, the Mighty, the Subduer, the Exalted.

هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡخَٰلِقُ ٱلۡبَارِئُ ٱلۡمُصَوِّرُ ۖ لَهُ ٱلۡأَسۡمَآءُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ ۚ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ

Has the power to do all that He wills.

رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Lord of all the worlds,

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

The Gracious, the Merciful,

أُجِيبُ دَعۡوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ

ٱلۡحَيُّ ٱلۡقَيُّومُ ۚ

The Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining.

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

Say, ‘He is Allah, the One;

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ

‘Allah, the Independent and Besought of all.

لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ

‘He begets not, nor is He begotten;

وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ

‘And there is none like unto Him.’

ٱلۡمُهَيۡمِنُ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡجَبَّارُ ٱلۡمُتَكَبِّرُ ۚ

The Protector, the Mighty, the Subduer, the Exalted.

هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡخَٰلِقُ ٱلۡبَارِئُ ٱلۡمُصَوِّرُ ۖ لَهُ ٱلۡأَسۡمَآءُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ ۚ

He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names.

وَٱللَّهُ غَالِبٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَمۡرِهِۦ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ

And Allah has full power over His decree, but most men know it not.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَن يَخۡلُقُواْ ذُبَابٗا وَلَوِ ٱجۡتَمَعُواْ لَهُۥ ۖ وَإِن يَسۡلُبۡهُمُ ٱلذُّبَابُ شَيۡـٔٗا لَّا يَسۡتَنقِذُوهُ مِنۡهُ ۚ ضَعُفَ ٱلطَّالِبُ وَٱلۡمَطۡلُوبُ

Surely, those on whom you call instead of Allah cannot create even a fly, though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they cannot recover it therefrom. Weak indeed are both the seeker and the sought.

مَا قَدَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ

They esteem not Allah with the estimation which is His due. Surely, Allah is Powerful, Mighty.

عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ

Allah has the power to do all that He wills.

رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Lord of all the worlds,

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

The Gracious, the Merciful,

مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

Master of the Day of Judgment.

ٱلۡحَيُّ ٱلۡقَيُّومُ ۚ

The Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

Say, ‘He is Allah, the One;

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ

‘Allah, the Independent and Besought of all.

لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ

‘He begets not, nor is He begotten;

وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ

‘And there is none like unto Him.’

وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ ۚ

While He is the Lord of all things?

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds,

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَآبَّةٖ مِّن مَّآءٖ ۖ فَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَمۡشِي عَلَىٰ بَطۡنِهِۦ وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَمۡشِي عَلَىٰ رِجۡلَيۡنِ وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَمۡشِي عَلَىٰٓ أَرۡبَعٖ ۚ يَخۡلُقُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ

And Allah has created every animal from water. Of them are some that go upon their bellies, and of them are some that go upon two feet, and among them are some that go upon four. Allah creates what He pleases. Surely, Allah has the power to do all that He pleases.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسۡجُدُواْۤ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ قَالُواْ وَمَا ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ أَنَسۡجُدُ لِمَا تَأۡمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمۡ نُفُورٗا۩

And when it is said to them, ‘Submit to the Gracious God,’ they say, ‘And who is the Gracious God? Shall we submit to whatever thou biddest us?’ And it increases their aversion.

تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجٗا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَٰجٗا وَقَمَرٗا مُّنِيرٗا

Blessed is He Who has made mansions in the heaven and has placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلۡفَةٗ لِّمَنۡ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوۡ أَرَادَ شُكُورٗا

And He it is Who has made the night and the day, each following the other, for him who desires to remember, or desires to be grateful.

وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمۡشُونَ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ هَوۡنٗا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلۡجَٰهِلُونَ قَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗا

And the servants of the Gracious God are those who walk on the earth in a dignified manner, and when the ignorant address them, they say, ‘Peace!’

عَذَابِيٓ أُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَنۡ أَشَآءُ ۖ وَرَحۡمَتِي وَسِعَتۡ كُلَّ شَيۡءٖ ۚ

I will inflict My punishment on whom I will; but My mercy encompasses all things.

أَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ إِلَى ٱلطَّيۡرِ فَوۡقَهُمۡ صَـٰٓفَّـٰتٖ وَيَقۡبِضۡنَ ۚ مَا يُمۡسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ ۚ

Have they not seen the birds above them, spreading out their wings without moving them and then drawing them in to swoop down upon the prey?

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

The Gracious, the Merciful,

وَكَانَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ رَحِيمٗا

And He is Merciful to the believers.

إِنَّ رَحۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِيبٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

Surely, the mercy of Allah is nigh unto those who do good.

لِّمَنِ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ ۖ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡوَٰحِدِ ٱلۡقَهَّارِ

‘Whose is the kingdom this day?’ ‘It is Allah’s, the One, the Most Supreme.

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡحَيُّ ٱلۡقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأۡخُذُهُۥ سِنَةٞ وَلَا نَوۡمٞ ۚ لَّهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۗ

لَوۡ كَانَ فِيهِمَآ ءَالِهَةٌ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا ۚ

If there had been in them (the heavens and the earth) other gods beside

قُلِ ٱدۡعُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمۡتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ فَلَا يَمۡلِكُونَ كَشۡفَ ٱلضُّرِّ عَنكُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡوِيلًا

Say, ‘Call on those whom you think to be gods beside Him; then you will know that they have no power to remove affliction from you or to avert it.

تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ ٱلسَّبۡعُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ ۚ

The seven heavens and the earth and those that are therein extol His glory

قَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدٗا ۗ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ ۖ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِيُّ ۖ

They say, ‘Allah has taken unto Himself a son.’ Holy is He! He is Self-Sufficient

أَلَكُمُ ٱلذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ ٱلۡأُنثَىٰ

‘What! for you the males and for Him the females!’

تِلۡكَ إِذٗا قِسۡمَةٞ ضِيزَىٰٓ

That indeed is an unfair division.

ٱعۡبُدُواْ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُمۡ

Worship your Lord Who created you.

ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ فِرَٰشٗا وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بِنَآءٗ وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَخۡرَجَ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ رِزۡقٗا لَّكُمۡ ۖ فَلَا تَجۡعَلُواْ لِلَّهِ أَندَادٗا وَأَنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ

Who made the earth a bed for you, and the heaven a roof, and caused water to come down from the clouds and therewith brought forth fruits for your sustenance. Set not up, therefore, equals to Allah, while you know.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَٰهٞ وَفِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَٰهٞ

And He it is Who is God in heaven, and God on earth;

هُوَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُ وَٱلۡأٓخِرُ وَٱلظَّـٰهِرُ وَٱلۡبَاطِنُ

He is the First and the Last, and the Manifest and the Hidden.

لَّا تُدۡرِكُهُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ وَهُوَ يُدۡرِكُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ

Eyes cannot reach Him but He reaches the eyes. And He is the Incomprehensible, the All-Aware.

ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَمۡ يَتَّخِذۡ وَلَدٗا وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ شَرِيكٞ فِي ٱلۡمُلۡكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيۡءٖ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ تَقۡدِيرٗا

He to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And He has taken unto Himself no son, and has no partner in the kingdom, and has created everything, and has ordained for it its proper measure.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغۡفِرُ أَن يُشۡرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغۡفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَمَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰٓ إِثۡمًا عَظِيمًا

Surely, Allah will not forgive that any partner be associated with Him; but He will forgive whatever is short of that to whomsoever He pleases. And whoso associates partners with Allah has indeed devised a very great sin.

فَمَن كَانَ يَرۡجُواْ لِقَآءَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلۡيَعۡمَلۡ عَمَلٗا صَٰلِحٗا وَلَا يُشۡرِكۡ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَحَدَۢا

‘So let him who hopes to meet his Lord do good deeds, and let him join no one in the worship of his Lord.’

لَا تُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلشِّرۡكَ لَظُلۡمٌ عَظِيمٞ

Associate not partners with Allah. Surely, associating partners with God is a grievous wrong.’

وَإِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ

And to Him will you be brought back.

ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۚ

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.

وَإِذَا بَطَشۡتُم بَطَشۡتُمۡ جَبَّارِينَ

‘And when you lay hands upon any one, you lay hands as tyrants.

وَٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُواْ فِينَا لَنَهۡدِيَنَّهُمۡ سُبُلَنَا ۚ

And as for those who strive in Our path — We will surely guide them in Our ways

لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۖ

His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth.

خَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيۡءٖ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ تَقۡدِيرٗا

{He} has created everything, and has ordained for it its proper measure.

وَقَالُواْ لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَ هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡقَرۡيَتَيۡنِ عَظِيمٍ

And they say, ‘Why has not this Qur’an been sent to some great man of the two towns?’

أَهُمۡ يَقۡسِمُونَ رَحۡمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحۡنُ قَسَمۡنَا بَيۡنَهُم مَّعِيشَتَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا ۚ وَرَفَعۡنَا بَعۡضَهُمۡ فَوۡقَ بَعۡضٖ دَرَجَٰتٖ لِّيَتَّخِذَ بَعۡضُهُم بَعۡضٗا سُخۡرِيّٗا ۗ وَرَحۡمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيۡرٞ مِّمَّا يَجۡمَعُونَ

Is it they who would distribute the mercy of thy Lord? It is We Who distribute among them their livelihood in the present life, and We exalt some of them above others in degrees of rank, so that some of them may make others subservient to themselves. And the mercy of thy Lord is better than that which they amass.

وَقَالُواْ لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَ هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡقَرۡيَتَيۡنِ عَظِيمٍ

And they say, ‘Why has not this Qur’an been sent to some great man of the two towns?’

أَهُمۡ يَقۡسِمُونَ رَحۡمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ

Is it they who would distribute the mercy of thy Lord?

إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَا مَا عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ زِينَةٗ لَّهَا لِنَبۡلُوَهُمۡ أَيُّهُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ عَمَلٗا

Verily, We have made all that is on the earth as an ornament for it, that We may try them as to which of them is best in conduct.

مَّا لَكُمۡ لَا تَرۡجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارٗا

‘What is the matter with you that you expect not wisdom and staidness from Allah?

وَقَدۡ خَلَقَكُمۡ أَطۡوَارًا

‘And He has created you in different forms and different conditions.

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيۡهِ رَٰجِعُونَ

Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return.

مَآ أَصَٰبَكُم مِّن مُّصِيبَةٖ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتۡ أَيۡدِيكُمۡ وَيَعۡفُواْ عَن كَثِيرٖ

Whatever misfortune befalls you, is due to what your own hands have wrought. And He forgives many of your sins.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي يَقۡبَلُ ٱلتَّوۡبَةَ عَنۡ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَعۡفُواْ عَنِ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ

And He it is Who accepts repentance from His servants, and forgives sins.

وَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٖ شَرّٗا يَرَهُۥ

And whoso does an atom’s weight of evil will also see it.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلتَّوَّـٰبِينَ وَيُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

Allah loves those who turn to Him and loves those who keep themselves clean.

وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَيۡهِ مِنۡ حَبۡلِ ٱلۡوَرِيدِ

And We are nearer to him than even his jugular vein.

هُوَ ٱلۡحَيُّ ٱلۡقَيُّومُ ۚ

The Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining.

إِنَّهُۥ صَرۡحٞ مُّمَرَّدٞ مِّن قَوَارِيرَ ۗ

‘It is a palace paved smooth with slabs of glass.’

ٱسۡجُدُواْ لِأٓدَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ

‘Submit to Adam,’ and they all submitted. But Iblis did not.

دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ

He drew nearer to God; then he came down to mankind.

فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوۡسَيۡنِ أَوۡ أَدۡنَىٰ

So that he became, as it were, one chord to two bows or closer still.

لَيۡسَ كَمِثۡلِهِۦ شَيۡءٞ ۖ

There is nothing whatever like unto Him.

وَإِن مِّن شَيۡءٍ إِلَّا يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمۡدِهِۦ

And there is not a thing but glorifies Him with His praise.

يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth glorifies Allah.

لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ

His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth;

إِنَّمَآ أَمۡرُهُۥٓ إِذَآ أَرَادَ شَيۡـًٔا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ

Verily His command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, ‘Be!,’ and it is.

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds,

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

The Gracious, the Merciful,

مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

Master of the Day of Judgment.

إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ

Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help.

ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ

Guide us in the right path —

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone astray.

يَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ فُرۡقَانٗا

He will grant you a distinction .

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَٰهٞ وَفِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَٰهٞ ۚ

And He it is Who is God in heaven, and God on earth.

لَّا تُدۡرِكُهُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ وَهُوَ يُدۡرِكُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ ۖ

وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَيۡهِ مِنۡ حَبۡلِ ٱلۡوَرِيدِ

أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحُولُ بَيۡنَ ٱلۡمَرۡءِ وَقَلۡبِهِۦ

Allah comes in between a man and his heart.

كُلُّ مَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا فَانٖ

All that is on it (earth) will pass away.

وَيَبۡقَىٰ وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ

And there will remain only the Person of thy Lord, Master of Glory and Honour.

وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسۡبُهُۥٓ ۚ

And he who puts his trust in Allah — He is sufficient for him.

وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ مَخۡرَجٗا

And he who fears Allah — He will make for him a way out.

وَهُوَ يَتَوَلَّى ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

And He protects the righteous.

ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.

لَيۡسَ كَمِثۡلِهِۦ شَيۡءٞ ۖ

There is nothing whatever like unto Him.

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي رَفَعَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيۡرِ عَمَدٖ تَرَوۡنَهَا ۖ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ۖ

Allah is He Who raised up the heavens without any pillars that you can see. Then He settled Himself on the Throne.

وَفِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزۡقُكُمۡ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ

And in heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتَهُۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِيِّ ۚ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ صَلُّواْ عَلَيۡهِ وَسَلِّمُواْ تَسۡلِيمًا

Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! you also should invoke blessings on him and salute him with the salutation of peace.

وَعَلَّمَكَ مَا لَمۡ تَكُن تَعۡلَمُ ۚ وَكَانَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكَ عَظِيمٗا

And has taught thee what thou knewest not, and great is Allah’s grace on thee.

قُلۡ يَٰعِبَادِيَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسۡرَفُواْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ لَا تَقۡنَطُواْ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ

Say, “O My servants who have committed excesses against their own souls! despair not of the mercy of Allah, surely Allah forgives all sins.

وَلَعَبۡدٞ مُّؤۡمِنٌ خَيۡرٞ مِّن مُّشۡرِكٖ

Even a believing slave is better than an idolater.

قُلۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِي يُحۡبِبۡكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ ذُنُوبَكُمۡ ۚ

Say, ‘If you love Allah, follow me: then will Allah love you and forgive you your faults.

ٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحۡيِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَا ۚ

Know that Allah is now quickening the earth after its death.

كُنتُمۡ خَيۡرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخۡرِجَتۡ لِلنَّاسِ

You are the best people raised for the good of mankind.

خَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ

Allah has set a seal on their hearts.

قُلۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِي يُحۡبِبۡكُمُ ٱللَّهُ

Say, ‘If you love Allah, follow me: then will Allah love you.

حَبَّبَ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡإِيمَٰنَ وَزَيَّنَهُۥ فِي قُلُوبِكُمۡ وَكَرَّهَ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡكُفۡرَ وَٱلۡفُسُوقَ وَٱلۡعِصۡيَانَ ۚ

( But Allah has) endeared the faith to you and has made it look beautiful to your hearts, and He has made disbelief, wickedness and disobedience hateful to you.

فَإِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ

‘So when I have fashioned him in perfection and have breathed into him of My Spirit, fall ye down in submission to him.’

وَخَلَقَ مِنۡهَا زَوۡجَهَا

And created therefrom its mate.

ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ

Then he drew nearer to God; then he came down to mankind,

فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوۡسَيۡنِ أَوۡ أَدۡنَىٰ

So that he became, as it were, one chord to two bows or closer still.

قُلۡ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحۡيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Say, ‘My Prayer and my sacrifice and my life and my death are all for Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

وَرَفَعَ بَعۡضَهُمۡ دَرَجَٰتٖ ۚ

And some of them He exalted by degrees of rank.

وَرَفَعَ بَعۡضَهُمۡ دَرَجَٰتٖ ۚ

And some of them He exalted by degrees of rank.

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَشَدُّ حُبّٗا لِّلَّهِ ۗ

But those who believe are stronger in their love for Allah

فَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ كَذِكۡرِكُمۡ ءَابَآءَكُمۡ أَوۡ أَشَدَّ ذِكۡرٗا ۗ

Celebrate the praises of Allah as you celebrated the praises of your fathers, or even more than that.

ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ

Then he drew nearer to God; then he came down to mankind,

فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوۡسَيۡنِ أَوۡ أَدۡنَىٰ

So that he became, as it were, one chord to two bows or closer still.

ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ

فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوۡسَيۡنِ أَوۡ أَدۡنَىٰ

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ يَدُ ٱللَّهِ فَوۡقَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ ۚ

Verily, those who swear allegiance to thee indeed swear allegiance to Allah. The hand of Allah is over their hands.

وَمَا رَمَيۡتَ إِذۡ رَمَيۡتَ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَمَىٰ

And thou threwest not when thou didst throw, but it was Allah Who threw.

قُلۡ يَٰعِبَادِيَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسۡرَفُواْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ لَا تَقۡنَطُواْ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ

Say, “O My servants who have committed excesses against their own souls! despair not of the mercy of Allah, surely Allah forgives all sins.

وَقُلۡ جَآءَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ ٱلۡبَٰطِلُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلۡبَٰطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقٗا

And say, ‘Truth has come and falsehood has vanished away. Falsehood does indeed vanish away fast.’

۞ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشۡكَوٰةٖ فِيهَا مِصۡبَاحٌ ۖ ٱلۡمِصۡبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍ ۖ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوۡكَبٞ دُرِّيّٞ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٖ مُّبَٰرَكَةٖ زَيۡتُونَةٖ لَّا شَرۡقِيَّةٖ وَلَا غَرۡبِيَّةٖ يَكَادُ زَيۡتُهَا يُضِيٓءُ وَلَوۡ لَمۡ تَمۡسَسۡهُ نَارٞ ۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٖ ۚ يَهۡدِي ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَيَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡأَمۡثَٰلَ لِلنَّاسِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٞ

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The similitude of His light is as a lustrous niche, wherein is a lamp. The lamp is in a glass. The glass is as it were a glittering star. It is lit from a blessed tree — an olive — neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would well-nigh glow forth even though fire touched it not. Light upon light! Allah guides to His light whomsoever He will. And Allah sets forth parables to men, and Allah knows all things full well.

ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۚ

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.

إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٖ

Thou dost surely possess high moral excellences.

لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ فِيٓ أَحۡسَنِ تَقۡوِيمٖ

Surely, We have created man in the best make;

كَلِمَةٗ طَيِّبَةٗ كَشَجَرَةٖ طَيِّبَةٍ

A good word? It is like a good tree,

لَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٞ نَّفۡسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ

Haply thou wilt grieve thyself to death because they believe not.

وَٱسۡتَفۡتَحُواْ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٖ

And they prayed for victory, and as a result thereof every haughty enemy of truth came to naught.

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلّٗا فَهَدَىٰ

And He found thee wandering in search for Him and guided thee unto Himself.

أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمٗا فَـَٔاوَىٰ

Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter?

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلٗا فَأَغۡنَىٰ

And He found thee in want and enriched thee.

إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٖ

Thou dost surely possess high moral excellences.

وَكَانَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكَ عَظِيمٗا

And great is Allah’s grace on thee.

فَبِهُدَىٰهُمُ ٱقۡتَدِهۡ ۗ

So follow thou their guidance.

إِنَّ أَوۡلَى ٱلنَّاسِ بِإِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَٰذَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِيُّ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

Surely, the nearest of men to Abraham are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who believe; and Allah is the friend of believers.

ذَٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤۡتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ

That is Allah’s grace; He bestows it on whom He pleases.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتَهُۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِيِّ ۚ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ صَلُّواْ عَلَيۡهِ وَسَلِّمُواْ تَسۡلِيمًا

Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! you also should invoke blessings on him and salute him with the salutation of peace.

وَمَا رَمَيۡتَ إِذۡ رَمَيۡتَ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَمَىٰ

And thou threwest not when thou didst throw, but it was Allah Who threw.

الٓمٓ

Alif Lam Mim.

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡحَيُّ ٱلۡقَيُّومُ

Allah is He beside Whom there is no God, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining.

نَزَّلَ عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ

He has sent down to thee the Book containing the truth.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدۡ جَآءَكُمُ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِٱلۡحَقِّ

O mankind, the Messenger has indeed come to you with Truth from your Lord.

وَبِٱلۡحَقِّ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ وَبِٱلۡحَقِّ نَزَلَ ۗ

And in truth have We sent it down and with truth has it descended.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدۡ جَآءَكُم بُرۡهَٰنٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَأَنزَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكُمۡ نُورٗا مُّبِينٗا

O ye people, a manifest proof has indeed come to you from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light.

قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنِّي رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيۡكُمۡ جَمِيعًا

Say, ‘O mankind! truly I am a Messenger to you all from Allah.

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ وَءَامَنُواْ بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡ كَفَّرَ عَنۡهُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ وَأَصۡلَحَ بَالَهُمۡ

But as for those who believe and do good works and believe in that which has been revealed to Muhammad — and it is the truth from their Lord — He removes from them their sins and improves their condition.

مَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ إِلَّا رَحۡمَةٗ لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

We have sent thee not but as a mercy for all peoples.

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي بَعَثَ فِي ٱلۡأُمِّيِّـۧنَ رَسُولٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ يَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَيُزَكِّيهِمۡ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَإِن كَانُواْ مِن قَبۡلُ لَفِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٖ

He it is Who has raised among the Unlettered people a Messenger from among themselves who recites unto them His Signs, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and wisdom, although they had been, before, in manifest misguidance;

وَءَاخَرِينَ مِنۡهُمۡ لَمَّا يَلۡحَقُواْ بِهِمۡ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

And among others from among them who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

ذَٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤۡتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ

That is Allah’s grace; He bestows it on whom He pleases; and Allah is the Master of immense grace.

ظَهَرَ ٱلۡفَسَادُ فِي ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ

Corruption has appeared on land and sea

لِيَكُونَ لِلۡعَٰلَمِينَ نَذِيرًا

That he may be a Warner to all the worlds —

كُنتُمۡ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفۡرَةٖ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ

And you were on the brink of a pit of fire .

ٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحۡيِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَا ۚ

Know that Allah is now quickening the earth after its death.

وَلَا يَكُونُواْ كَٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبۡلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَدُ فَقَسَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡ ۖ وَكَثِيرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَٰسِقُونَ

And that they should not become like those who were given the Book before them and the term was prolonged for them, but their hearts were hardened, and many of them are wicked?

ٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحۡيِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَا ۚ قَدۡ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ

Know that Allah is now quickening the earth after its death. We have made the Signs manifest to you, that you may understand.

ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ وَأَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمَ دِينٗا ۚ

This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as religion.

تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِي نَزَّلَ ٱلۡفُرۡقَانَ عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِۦ لِيَكُونَ لِلۡعَٰلَمِينَ نَذِيرًا

Blessed is He Who has sent down the Discrimination to His servant, that he may be a Warner to all the worlds —

تَٱللَّهِ لَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٖ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ

By Allah, We did send Messengers to the peoples before thee; but Satan made their works appear beautiful to them. So he is their patron this day, and they shall have a grievous punishment.

وَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

And We have not sent down to thee the Book except that thou mayest explain to them that concerning which they differ, and as a guidance, and a mercy for a people who believe.

وَٱللَّهُ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَحۡيَا بِهِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَآ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَسۡمَعُونَ

And Allah has sent down water from the sky, and has quickened therewith the earth after its death. Surely, in that is a Sign for a people who would hear.

إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٖ

Thou dost surely possess high moral excellences.

قُلۡ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحۡيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Say, ‘My Prayer and my sacrifice and my life and my death are all for Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

شِفَآءٞ لِّمَا فِي ٱلصُّدُورِ

And a cure for whatever disease there is in the hearts.

إِنِّي رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيۡكُمۡ جَمِيعًا

truly I am a Messenger to you all from Allah

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعۡدَهُۥ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

Then in what thing will they believe thereafter?

إِنَّ ٱلظَّنَّ لَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّ شَيۡـًٔا ۚ

Surely, conjecture avails nothing against truth.

إِنَّ هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ يَهۡدِي لِلَّتِي هِيَ أَقۡوَمُ

Surely, this Qur’an guides to what is most right; and gives to the believers .

إِنَّ فِي هَٰذَا لَبَلَٰغٗا لِّقَوۡمٍ عَٰبِدِينَ

Herein, surely, is a message for people who worship God.

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذۡكِرَةٞ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ

And verily it is a reminder for the righteous.

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلۡيَقِينِ

And surely, it is the true certainty.

حِكۡمَةُۢ بَٰلِغَةٞ ۖ

Consummate wisdom.

تِبۡيَٰنٗا لِّكُلِّ شَيۡءٖ

To explain everything.

نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٖ ۚ

Light upon light!

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ

It is God, the Gracious

عَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ

Who has taught the Qur’an.

أَنزَلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَٱلۡمِيزَانَ ۗ

Who has sent down the Book with truth and also the Balance.

هُدٗى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَٰتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَٱلۡفُرۡقَانِ ۚ

It is a guidance for mankind with clear proofs of guidance and discrimination.

إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلٞ فَصۡلٞ

It is surely a decisive word,

لَا رَيۡبَۛ فِيهِۛ

There is no doubt in it;

وَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

And We have not sent down to thee the Book except that thou mayest explain to them that concerning which they differ, and as a guidance, and a mercy for a people who believe.

فِيهَا كُتُبٞ قَيِّمَةٞ

Therein are lasting commandments.

لَّا يَأۡتِيهِ ٱلۡبَٰطِلُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَلَا مِنۡ خَلۡفِهِۦ

Falsehood cannot approach it either from before or from behind it.

هَٰذَا بَصَـٰٓئِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٞ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُوقِنُونَ

This Book contains clear evidences for mankind and is a guidance and a mercy for a people who possess firm faith.

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ وَءَايَٰتِهِۦ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

In what word, then, after rejecting that of Allah and His Signs will they believe?

قُلۡ بِفَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِرَحۡمَتِهِۦ فَبِذَٰلِكَ فَلۡيَفۡرَحُواْ هُوَ خَيۡرٞ مِّمَّا يَجۡمَعُونَ

Say, ‘All this is through the grace of Allah and through His mercy; therein, therefore, let them rejoice. That is better than what they hoard.’

إِنَّمَآ أَمۡوَٰلُكُمۡ وَأَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡ فِتۡنَةٞ ۚ

Verily, your wealth and your children are a trial.

وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذَهَابِۭ بِهِۦ لَقَٰدِرُونَ

And surely it is We Who determine its taking away —

ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ وَأَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمَ دِينٗا ۚ

This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as religion.

إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ

Surely, We sent it down on the Night of Destiny.

وَإِن مِّن شَيۡءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَآئِنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِقَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ

And there is not a thing but with Us are the treasures thereof and We send it not down except in a known measure.

لِيُظۡهِرَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلدِّينِ كُلِّهِۦ

That He may make it prevail over all other religions.

وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ دِينَهُمُ

He will surely establish for them their religion .

وَجَزَـٰٓؤُاْ سَيِّئَةٖ سَيِّئَةٞ مِّثۡلُهَا ۖ

And the recompense of an injury is an injury the like thereof;

وَأَيَّدَهُم بِرُوحٖ مِّنۡهُ ۖ

And whom He has strengthened with inspiration from Himself.

قُل لَّئِنِ ٱجۡتَمَعَتِ ٱلۡإِنسُ وَٱلۡجِنُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَأۡتُواْ بِمِثۡلِ هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ لَا يَأۡتُونَ بِمِثۡلِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَانَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ لِبَعۡضٖ ظَهِيرٗا

Say, ‘If mankind and the Jinn gathered together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they could not produce the like thereof, even though they should help one another.’

قُل لَّئِنِ ٱجۡتَمَعَتِ ٱلۡإِنسُ وَٱلۡجِنُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَأۡتُواْ بِمِثۡلِ هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ لَا يَأۡتُونَ بِمِثۡلِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَانَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ لِبَعۡضٖ ظَهِيرٗا

Say, ‘If mankind and the Jinn gathered together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they could not produce the like thereof, even though they should help one another.’

يَتۡلُواْ صُحُفٗا مُّطَهَّرَةٗ

Reciting unto them the pure Scriptures.

فِيهَا كُتُبٞ قَيِّمَةٞ

Therein are lasting commandments.

الٓمٓ

Alif Lam Mim.

ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ لَا رَيۡبَۛ فِيهِۛ هُدٗى لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ

This is a perfect Book; there is no doubt in it; it is a guidance for the righteous,

ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ يُنفِقُونَ

Who believe in the unseen and observe Prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them;

وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبۡلِكَ وَبِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ هُمۡ يُوقِنُونَ

And who believe in that which has been revealed to thee, and that which was revealed before thee, and they have firm faith in what is yet to come.

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدٗى مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ ۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ

It is they who follow the guidance of their Lord and it is they who shall prosper.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَأَنذَرۡتَهُمۡ أَمۡ لَمۡ تُنذِرۡهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

Those who have disbelieved — it being equal to them whether thou warn them or warn them not — they will not believe.

خَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ وَعَلَىٰ سَمۡعِهِمۡ ۖ وَعَلَىٰٓ أَبۡصَٰرِهِمۡ غِشَٰوَةٞ ۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٞ

Allah has set a seal on their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes is a covering; and for them is a great punishment.

الٓمٓ

Alif Lam Mim.

ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ لَا رَيۡبَۛ فِيهِۛ هُدٗى لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ

This is a perfect Book; there is no doubt in it; it is a guidance for the righteous,

لَا رَيۡبَۛ فِيهِۛ

There is no doubt in it.

ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ يُنفِقُونَ

It is they who follow the guidance of their Lord and it is they who shall prosper.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَأَنذَرۡتَهُمۡ أَمۡ لَمۡ تُنذِرۡهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

خَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ وَعَلَىٰ سَمۡعِهِمۡ ۖ وَعَلَىٰٓ أَبۡصَٰرِهِمۡ غِشَٰوَةٞ ۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٞ

Allah has set a seal on their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes is a covering; and for them is a great punishment.

خَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ

Allah has set a seal on their hearts.

يُؤۡتِي ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَمَن يُؤۡتَ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ فَقَدۡ أُوتِيَ خَيۡرٗا كَثِيرٗا ۗ

He grants wisdom to whom He pleases, and whoever is granted wisdom has indeed been granted abundant good.

وَهُوَ يَتَوَلَّى ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

And He protects the righteous.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds,

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

The Gracious, the Merciful,

مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

Master of the Day of Judgment.

إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ

Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help.

ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ

Guide us in the right path —

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone astray.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ

Surely, We sent it down on the Night of Destiny.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكۡرَهُواْ شَيۡـٔٗا وَهُوَ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ ۖ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تُحِبُّواْ شَيۡـٔٗا وَهُوَ شَرّٞ لَّكُمۡ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

But it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you like a thing while it is bad for you. Allah knows all things, and you know not.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ سَبۡعٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِي وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِيمَ

And We have, indeed, given thee the seven oft-repeated verses, and the Great Qur’an.

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ

All praise belongs to Allah

رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Lord of all the worlds.

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ

The Gracious.

مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

Master of the Day of Judgment.

إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ

Thee alone do we worship.

إِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ

Thee alone do we implore for help.

ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ

Guide us in the right path —

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings.

قُل لَّوۡ كَانَ ٱلۡبَحۡرُ مِدَادٗا لِّكَلِمَٰتِ رَبِّي لَنَفِدَ ٱلۡبَحۡرُ قَبۡلَ أَن تَنفَدَ كَلِمَٰتُ رَبِّي وَلَوۡ جِئۡنَا بِمِثۡلِهِۦ مَدَدٗا

Say, ‘If the ocean became ink for the words of my Lord, surely, the ocean would be exhausted before the words of my Lord came to an end, even though We brought the like thereof as further help.’

قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنِّي رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيۡكُمۡ جَمِيعًا

Say, ‘O mankind! truly I am a Messenger to you all from Allah.

وَلَٰكِن رَّسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ ۗ

But he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets; and Allah has full knowledge of all things.

لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُطَهَّرُونَ

Which none shall touch except those who are purified.

وَنَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ تِبۡيَٰنٗا لِّكُلِّ شَيۡءٖ

And We have sent down to thee the Book to explain everything.

مَّا فَرَّطۡنَا فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مِن شَيۡءٖ ۚ

We have left out nothing in the Book.

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي بَعَثَ فِي ٱلۡأُمِّيِّـۧنَ رَسُولٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ يَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَيُزَكِّيهِمۡ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ

He it is Who has raised among the Unlettered people a Messenger from among themselves who recites unto them His Signs, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and wisdom.

وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنكُمۡ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ لَيَسۡتَخۡلِفَنَّهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَمَا ٱسۡتَخۡلَفَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ دِينَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي ٱرۡتَضَىٰ لَهُمۡ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ خَوۡفِهِمۡ أَمۡنٗا ۚ يَعۡبُدُونَنِي لَا يُشۡرِكُونَ بِي شَيۡـٔٗا ۚ وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ

Allah has promised to those among you who believe and do good works that He will surely make them Successors in the earth, as He made Successors from among those who were before them; and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them; and that He will surely give them in exchange security and peace after their fear: They will worship Me, and they will not associate anything with Me. Then whoso is ungrateful after that, they will be the rebellious.

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ

Verily, We Ourself have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian.

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

Say, ‘He is Allah, the One;

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ

‘Allah, the Independent and Besought of all.

لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ

‘He begets not, nor is He begotten;

وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ

‘And there is none like unto Him.’

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأۡمُرُ بِٱلۡعَدۡلِ وَٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ وَإِيتَآيِٕ ذِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ

Verily, Allah enjoins justice, and the doing of good to others; and giving like kindred

قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنِّي رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيۡكُمۡ جَمِيعًا

Say, ‘O mankind! truly I am a Messenger to you all from Allah.

لِيَكُونَ لِلۡعَٰلَمِينَ نَذِيرًا

That he may be a Warner to all the worlds.

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ

Verily, We Ourself have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian.

We have explained with a detailed explanation.

ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ وَأَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِي

This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you .
