بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ ﴿۱﴾

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ ﴿۱﴾

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ۙ﴿۲﴾

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds,

اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ۙ﴿۲﴾

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds,

اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ۙ﴿۲﴾

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds,

الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ ۙ﴿۳﴾

The Gracious, the Merciful,

الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ ۙ﴿۳﴾

الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ ۙ﴿۳﴾

The Gracious, the Merciful,

مٰلِکِ یَوۡمِ الدِّیۡنِ ؕ﴿۴﴾

Master of the Day of Judgment.

اِیَّاکَ نَعۡبُدُ وَاِیَّاکَ نَسۡتَعِیۡنُ ؕ﴿۵﴾

Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we

اِیَّاکَ نَعۡبُدُ وَاِیَّاکَ نَسۡتَعِیۡنُ ؕ﴿۵﴾

Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we

اِیَّاکَ نَعۡبُدُ وَاِیَّاکَ نَسۡتَعِیۡنُ ؕ﴿۵﴾

Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we

اِیَّاکَ نَعۡبُدُ وَاِیَّاکَ نَسۡتَعِیۡنُ ؕ﴿۵﴾

Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we

اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ ۙ﴿۶﴾

Guide us in the right path —

اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ ۙ﴿۶﴾

Guide us in the right path —

اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ ۙ﴿۶﴾

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure.

صِرَاطَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ ۬ۙ غَیۡرِ الۡمَغۡضُوۡبِ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَلَا الضَّآلِّیۡنَ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings.

غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ

Those who have not incurred Thy displeasure.

وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

And those who have not gone astray.

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings.

غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

Those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone astray.

صِرَاطَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ ۬ۙ غَیۡرِ الۡمَغۡضُوۡبِ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَلَا الضَّآلِّیۡنَ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy

خَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ

Allah has set a seal on their hearts

یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّاسُ اعۡبُدُوۡا رَبَّکُمُ الَّذِیۡ خَلَقَکُمۡ وَالَّذِیۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِکُمۡ لَعَلَّکُمۡ

O ye men, worship your Lord Who created you and

الَّذِیۡ جَعَلَ لَکُمُ الۡاَرۡضَ فِرَاشًا وَّالسَّمَآءَ بِنَآءً ۪ وَّاَنۡزَلَ مِنَ

Who made the earth a bed for you, and the

وَاِنۡ کُنۡتُمۡ فِیۡ رَیۡبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلۡنَا عَلٰی عَبۡدِنَا فَاۡتُوۡا بِسُوۡرَۃٍ

And if you are in doubt as to what We

وَإِن كُنتُمۡ فِي رَيۡبٖ مِّمَّا نَزَّلۡنَا عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِنَا فَأۡتُواْ بِسُورَةٖ مِّن مِّثۡلِهِ

And if you are in doubt as to what We have sent down to Our servant, then produce a Chapter like it,

فَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تَفۡعَلُوۡا وَلَنۡ تَفۡعَلُوۡا فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِیۡ وَقُوۡدُہَا النَّاسُ

But if you do it not — and

فَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تَفۡعَلُوۡا وَلَنۡ تَفۡعَلُوۡا فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِیۡ وَقُوۡدُہَا النَّاسُ

But if you do it not — and

يَعۡرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا يَعۡرِفُونَ أَبۡنَآءَهُمۡ ۖ

recognize it even as they recognize their sons,

وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُم مَّا لَمۡ تَكُونُواْ تَعۡلَمُونَ

and teaches you the Book and Wisdom, and teaches you that which you did not know.

وَلَنَبۡلُوَنَّکُمۡ بِشَیۡءٍ مِّنَ الۡخَوۡفِ وَالۡجُوۡعِ وَنَقۡصٍ مِّنَ الۡاَمۡوَالِ وَالۡاَنۡفُسِ وَالثَّمَرٰتِ

And We will try you with something of fear and

الَّذِیۡنَ اِذَاۤ اَصَابَتۡہُمۡ مُّصِیۡبَۃٌ ۙ قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَاِنَّاۤ اِلَیۡہِ

Who, when a misfortune overtakes them, say, ‘Surely, to Allah

اُولٰٓئِکَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ صَلَوٰتٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّہِمۡ وَرَحۡمَۃٌ ۟ وَاُولٰٓئِکَ ہُمُ الۡمُہۡتَدُوۡنَ

It is these on whom are blessings from their Lord

أَنَّ ٱلۡقُوَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعٗا

all power belongs to Allah

وَلَكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡقِصَاصِ حَيَوٰةٞ يَـٰٓأُوْلِي ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ

And there is life for you in the law of retaliation, O men of understanding,

عَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكۡرَهُواْ شَيۡـٔٗا وَهُوَ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ ۖ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تُحِبُّواْ شَيۡـٔٗا وَهُوَ شَرّٞ لَّكُمۡ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you like a thing while it is bad for you. Allah knows all things, and you know not.

اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَالَّذِیۡنَ ہَاجَرُوۡا وَجٰہَدُوۡا فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ ۙ

Those who believe and those who emigrate and strive hard

وَلَوۡلَا دَفۡعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعۡضَهُم بِبَعۡضٖ لَّفَسَدَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

And had it not been for Allah’s repelling men, some of them by the others, the earth would have become filled with disorder. But Allah is Munificent to all peoples.

تِلۡکَ اٰیٰتُ اللّٰہِ نَتۡلُوۡہَا عَلَیۡکَ بِالۡحَقِّ ؕ وَاِنَّکَ لَمِنَ الۡمُرۡسَلِیۡنَ

These are the Signs of Allah; We recite them unto

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡحَيُّ ٱلۡقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأۡخُذُهُۥ سِنَةٞ وَلَا نَوۡمٞ ۚ لَّهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۗ

Allah — there is no God but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. Slumber seizes Him not, nor sleep. To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth.

مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِي يَشۡفَعُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِهِۦ ۚ يَعۡلَمُ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيۡءٖ مِّنۡ عِلۡمِهِۦٓ إِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَ ۚ

Who is he that will intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them; and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He pleases.

للَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡحَيُّ ٱلۡقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأۡخُذُهُۥ سِنَةٞ وَلَا نَوۡمٞ ۚ لَّهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۗ

Allah — there is no God but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. Slumber seizes Him not, nor sleep. To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth.

اَللّٰہُ لَاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّا ھُوَ ۚ اَلۡحَیُّ الۡقَیُّوۡمُ ۬ۚ لَا

Allah — there is no God but He, the Living,

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡحَيُّ ٱلۡقَيُّومُ ۚ

Allah — there is no God but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining.

ٱللَّهُ وَلِيُّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يُخۡرِجُهُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ

Allah is the friend of those who believe: He brings them out of every kind of darkness into light.

يُؤۡتِي ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَمَن يُؤۡتَ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ فَقَدۡ أُوتِيَ خَيۡرٗا كَثِيرٗا ۗ

He grants wisdom to whom He pleases, and whoever is granted wisdom has indeed been granted abundant good;

يُؤۡتِي ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَمَن يُؤۡتَ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ فَقَدۡ أُوتِيَ خَيۡرٗا كَثِيرٗا ۗ

He grants wisdom to whom He pleases, and whoever is granted wisdom has indeed been granted abundant good;

تُولِجُ ٱلَّيۡلَ فِي ٱلنَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِي ٱلَّيۡلِ

‘Thou makest the night pass into the day and makest the day pass into the night.

وَقَالَتۡ طَّآئِفَۃٌ مِّنۡ اَہۡلِ الۡکِتٰبِ اٰمِنُوۡا بِالَّذِیۡۤ اُنۡزِلَ عَلَی الَّذِیۡنَ

And a section of the People of the Book say,

فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

that Allah is surely independent of all creatures.

وَكُنتُمۡ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفۡرَةٖ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنۡهَا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَهۡتَدُونَ

and you were on the brink of a pit of fire and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah explain to you His commandments that you may be guided.

كُنتُمۡ خَيۡرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخۡرِجَتۡ لِلنَّاسِ

You are the best people raised for the good of mankind

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغۡفِرُ أَن يُشۡرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغۡفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ ۚ

Surely, Allah will not forgive that any partner be associated with Him; but He will forgive whatever is short of that to whomsoever He pleases.

اَلَمۡ تَرَ اِلَی الَّذِیۡنَ اُوۡتُوۡا نَصِیۡبًا مِّنَ الۡکِتٰبِ یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡجِبۡتِ

Dost thou not know of those who were given a

اُولٰٓئِکَ الَّذِیۡنَ لَعَنَہُمُ اللّٰہُ ؕ وَمَنۡ یَّلۡعَنِ اللّٰہُ فَلَنۡ تَجِدَ

They it is whom Allah has cursed; and he whom

وَكَانَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكَ عَظِيمٗا

and great is Allah’s grace on thee.

إِنَّمَا ٱللَّهُ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞ ۖ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥٓ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٞۘ لَّهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَكِيلٗا

Verily, Allah is the only One God. Far is it from His Holiness that He should have a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And sufficient is Allah as a Guardian.

فَـَٔامِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ ۖ وَلَا تَقُولُواْ ثَلَٰثَةٌ ۚ ٱنتَهُواْ خَيۡرٗا لَّكُمۡ ۚ إِنَّمَا ٱللَّهُ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞ ۖ

So believe in Allah and His Messengers, and say not ‘They are three.’ Desist, it will be better for you. Verily, Allah is the only One God.

ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ وَأَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِي

This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as religion.

قَدۡ جَآءَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ نُورٞ وَكِتَٰبٞ مُّبِينٞ

There has come to you indeed from Allah a Light and a clear Book.

یَّہۡدِیۡ بِہِ اللّٰہُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضۡوَانَہٗ سُبُلَ السَّلٰمِ وَیُخۡرِجُہُمۡ مِّنَ

Thereby does Allah guide those who seek His pleasure on

یٰۤاَہۡلَ الۡکِتٰبِ قَدۡ جَآءَکُمۡ رَسُوۡلُنَا یُبَیِّنُ لَکُمۡ عَلٰی فَتۡرَۃٍ مِّنَ

O People of the Book! there has come to you

مَن قَتَلَ نَفۡسَۢا بِغَيۡرِ نَفۡسٍ أَوۡ فَسَادٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعٗا

it be for killing a person or for creating disorder in the land — it shall be as if he had killed all mankind

لَتَجِدَنَّ اَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَاوَۃً لِّلَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوا الۡیَہُوۡدَ وَالَّذِیۡنَ اَشۡرَکُوۡا ۚ

Thou shalt certainly find the Jews and those who associate

وَاِذَا سَمِعُوۡا مَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَی الرَّسُوۡلِ تَرٰۤی اَعۡیُنَہُمۡ تَفِیۡضُ مِنَ

And when they hear what has been revealed to this

وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤۡمِنُ بِاللّٰہِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ الۡحَقِّ ۙ

‘And why should we not believe in Allah and in

وَاِنۡ یَّمۡسَسۡکَ اللّٰہُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا کَاشِفَ لَہٗۤ اِلَّا ہُوَ ؕ

And if Allah touch thee with affliction, there is none

وَہُوَ الۡقَاہِرُ فَوۡقَ عِبَادِہٖ ؕ وَہُوَ الۡحَکِیۡمُ الۡخَبِیۡرُ ﴿۱۹﴾

And He is Supreme over His servants; and He is

اَلَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَلَمۡ یَلۡبِسُوۡۤا اِیۡمَانَہُمۡ بِظُلۡمٍ اُولٰٓئِکَ لَہُمُ الۡاَمۡنُ وَہُمۡ

Those who believe and mix not up their belief with

وَمَا قَدَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهِ

And they do not make a just estimate of Allah,

سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

Holy is He and exalted far above what they attribute to Him!

وَجَعَلُوۡا لِلّٰہِ شُرَکَآءَ الۡجِنَّ وَخَلَقَہُمۡ وَخَرَقُوۡا لَہٗ بَنِیۡنَ وَبَنٰتٍۭ بِغَیۡرِ

And they hold the Jinn to be partners with Allah,

لَّا تُدۡرِكُهُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ وَهُوَ يُدۡرِكُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ ۖ

Eyes cannot reach Him but He reaches the eyes.

وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ ۚ

He is the Lord of all things

إِنَّ رَحۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِيبٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

Surely, the mercy of Allah is nigh unto those who do good.

وَہُوَ الَّذِیۡ یُرۡسِلُ الرِّیٰحَ بُشۡرًۢا بَیۡنَ یَدَیۡ رَحۡمَتِہٖ ؕ حَتّٰۤی

And He it is Who sends the winds as glad

وَالۡبَلَدُ الطَّیِّبُ یَخۡرُجُ نَبَاتُہٗ بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّہٖ ۚ وَالَّذِیۡ خَبُثَ لَا

And as for the good land, its vegetation comes forth

عَذَابِيٓ أُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَنۡ أَشَآءُ ۖ وَرَحۡمَتِي وَسِعَتۡ كُلَّ شَيۡءٖ ۚ فَسَأَكۡتُبُهَا لِلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ وَيُؤۡتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

I will inflict My punishment on whom I will; but My mercy encompasses all things; so I will ordain it for those who act righteously, and pay the Zakat and those who believe in Our Signs

عَذَابِيٓ أُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَنۡ أَشَآءُ ۖ وَرَحۡمَتِي وَسِعَتۡ كُلَّ شَيۡءٖ ۚ

‘I will inflict My punishment on whom I will; but My mercy encompasses all things; so I will ordain it for those who act righteously,

اَلَّذِیۡنَ یَتَّبِعُوۡنَ الرَّسُوۡلَ النَّبِیَّ الۡاُمِّیَّ الَّذِیۡ یَجِدُوۡنَہٗ مَکۡتُوۡبًا عِنۡدَہُمۡ فِی

‘Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet, the Immaculate one,

قُلۡ یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّاسُ اِنِّیۡ رَسُوۡلُ اللّٰہِ اِلَیۡکُمۡ جَمِیۡعَا ۣالَّذِیۡ لَہٗ

Say, ‘O mankind! truly I am a Messenger to you

وَلِلّٰہِ الۡاَسۡمَآءُ الۡحُسۡنٰی فَادۡعُوۡہُ بِہَا ۪ وَذَرُوا الَّذِیۡنَ یُلۡحِدُوۡنَ فِیۡۤ

And to Allah alone belong all perfect attributes. So call

قُلِ ٱدۡعُواْ شُرَكَآءَكُمۡ ثُمَّ كِيدُونِ فَلَا تُنظِرُونِ

Say, ‘Call upon the partners you associate with God, then contrive ye all against me, and give me no time.

أَلَهُمۡ أَرۡجُلٞ يَمۡشُونَ بِهَآ ۖ أَمۡ لَهُمۡ أَيۡدٖ يَبۡطِشُونَ بِهَآ ۖ

Have they feet wherewith they walk, or have they hands wherewith they hold,

اِنَّ وَلِیِّ یَ اللّٰہُ الَّذِیۡ نَزَّلَ الۡکِتٰبَ ۫ۖ وَہُوَ یَتَوَلَّی الصّٰلِحِیۡنَ

‘Truly, my protector is Allah Who revealed the Book. And

وَهُوَ يَتَوَلَّى ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

And He protects the righteous.

وَالَّذِیۡنَ تَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِہٖ لَا یَسۡتَطِیۡعُوۡنَ نَصۡرَکُمۡ وَلَاۤ اَنۡفُسَہُمۡ یَنۡصُرُوۡنَ

‘And they whom you call on beside Him have no

وَقَالَتِ الۡیَہُوۡدُ عُزَیۡرُ ۣابۡنُ اللّٰہِ وَقَالَتِ النَّصٰرَی الۡمَسِیۡحُ ابۡنُ اللّٰہِ

And the Jews say, Ezra is the son of Allah,

ٱتَّخَذُوٓاْ أَحۡبَارَهُمۡ وَرُهۡبَٰنَهُمۡ أَرۡبَابٗا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ

They have taken their learned men and their monks for lords beside Allah.

اِتَّخَذُوۡۤا اَحۡبَارَہُمۡ وَرُہۡبَانَہُمۡ اَرۡبَابًا مِّنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰہِ وَالۡمَسِیۡحَ ابۡنَ مَرۡیَمَ

They have taken their learned men and their monks for

قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرۡجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا ٱئۡتِ بِقُرۡءَانٍ غَيۡرِ هَٰذَآ أَوۡ بَدِّلۡهُ ۚ قُلۡ مَا يَكُونُ لِيٓ أَنۡ أُبَدِّلَهُۥ مِن تِلۡقَآيِٕ نَفۡسِيٓ ۖ إِنۡ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيَّ ۖ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ إِنۡ عَصَيۡتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٖ

those who look not for the meeting with Us say, ‘Bring a Qur’an other than this or change it.’ Say, ‘It is not for me to change it of my own accord. I only follow what is revealed to me. Indeed, I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the punishment of an awful day.’

قُلۡ لَّوۡ شَآءَ اللّٰہُ مَا تَلَوۡتُہٗ عَلَیۡکُمۡ وَلَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮکُمۡ بِہٖ

Say, ‘If Allah had so willed, I should not have

فَمَنۡ اَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ افۡتَرٰی عَلَی اللّٰہِ کَذِبًا اَوۡ کَذَّبَ بِاٰیٰتِہٖ

Who is then more unjust than he who forges a

قَالُوا اتَّخَذَ اللّٰہُ وَلَدًا سُبۡحٰنَہٗ ؕ ہُوَ الۡغَنِیُّ ؕ لَہٗ

They say, ‘Allah has taken unto Himself a son.’ Holy

قَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدٗا ۗ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ ۖ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِيُّ ۖ

They say, ‘Allah has taken unto Himself a son.’ Holy is He! He is Self-Sufficient.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوۡمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمۡ ۗ

Surely, Allah changes not the condition of a people until they change that which is in their hearts.

لَہٗ دَعۡوَۃُ الۡحَقِّ ؕ وَالَّذِیۡنَ یَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِہٖ لَا یَسۡتَجِیۡبُوۡنَ

Unto Him is the true prayer. And those on whom

أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَسَالَتۡ أَوۡدِيَةُۢ بِقَدَرِهَا

He sends down water from the sky, so that valleys flow according to their measure

كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَيۡكَ لِتُخۡرِجَ ٱلنَّاسَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ

a Book which We have revealed to thee that thou mayest bring mankind out of every kind of darkness into light,

وَلَقَدۡ اٰتَیۡنٰکَ سَبۡعًا مِّنَ الۡمَثَانِیۡ وَالۡقُرۡاٰنَ الۡعَظِیۡمَ ﴿۸۸﴾

And We have, indeed, given thee the seven oft-repeated verses,

وَیَجۡعَلُوۡنَ لِلّٰہِ الۡبَنٰتِ سُبۡحٰنَہٗ ۙ وَلَہُمۡ مَّا یَشۡتَہُوۡنَ ﴿۵۸﴾

And they ascribe daughters to Allah — Holy is He!

تَاللّٰہِ لَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلٰۤی اُمَمٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِکَ فَزَیَّنَ لَہُمُ الشَّیۡطٰنُ

By Allah, We did send Messengers to the peoples before

وَمَاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَیۡکَ الۡکِتٰبَ اِلَّا لِتُبَیِّنَ لَہُمُ الَّذِی اخۡتَلَفُوۡا فِیۡہِ

And We have not sent down to thee the Book

وَاللّٰہُ اَنۡزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَاَحۡیَا بِہِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِہَا

And Allah has sent down water from the sky, and

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأۡمُرُ بِٱلۡعَدۡلِ وَٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ وَإِيتَآيِٕ ذِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ

Verily, Allah enjoins justice, and the doing of good to others; and giving like kindred;

إِنَّمَا يُعَلِّمُهُۥ بَشَرٞ

it is only a man who teaches him.

وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ ءَايَتَيۡنِ ۖ فَمَحَوۡنَآ ءَايَةَ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَجَعَلۡنَآ ءَايَةَ ٱلنَّهَارِ مُبۡصِرَةٗ

And We have made the night and the day two Signs, and the Sign of night We have made dark, and the Sign of day We have made sightgiving,

وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِيَّاهُ وَبِٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ إِحۡسَٰنًا ۚ

Thy Lord has commanded, “Worship none but Him, and show kindness to parents.

تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ ٱلسَّبۡعُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَإِن مِّن شَيۡءٍ إِلَّا يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمۡدِهِۦ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَفۡقَهُونَ تَسۡبِيحَهُمۡ ۚ

The seven heavens and the earth and those that are therein extol His glory; and there is not a thing but glorifies Him with His praise; but you understand not their glorification.

تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ ٱلسَّبۡعُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ ۚ

The seven heavens and the earth and those that are therein extol His glory;

قُلِ ادۡعُوا الَّذِیۡنَ زَعَمۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِہٖ فَلَا یَمۡلِکُوۡنَ کَشۡفَ الضُّرِّ

Say, ‘Call on those whom you think to be gods

قُلِ ادۡعُوا الَّذِیۡنَ زَعَمۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِہٖ فَلَا یَمۡلِکُوۡنَ کَشۡفَ الضُّرِّ

Say, ‘Call on those whom you think to be gods

مَن كَانَ فِي هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَعۡمَىٰ فَهُوَ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَعۡمَىٰ وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلٗا

whoso is blind in this world will be blind in the Hereafter, and even more astray from the way.

قُلۡ لَّئِنِ اجۡتَمَعَتِ الۡاِنۡسُ وَالۡجِنُّ عَلٰۤی اَنۡ یَّاۡتُوۡا بِمِثۡلِ ہٰذَا

Say, ‘If mankind and the Jinn gathered together to produce

قُلۡ لَّئِنِ اجۡتَمَعَتِ الۡاِنۡسُ وَالۡجِنُّ عَلٰۤی اَنۡ یَّاۡتُوۡا بِمِثۡلِ ہٰذَا

Say, ‘If mankind and the Jinn gathered together to produce

وَبِٱلۡحَقِّ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ وَبِٱلۡحَقِّ نَزَلَ ۗ

And in truth have We sent it down and with truth has it descended.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡعِلۡمَ مِن قَبۡلِهِۦٓ إِذَا يُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ يَخِرُّونَۤ لِلۡأَذۡقَانِۤ سُجَّدٗاۤ

Those to whom knowledge has been given before it, do fall down prostrate on their faces when it is recited to them.

وَّیَقُوۡلُوۡنَ سُبۡحٰنَ رَبِّنَاۤ اِنۡ کَانَ وَعۡدُ رَبِّنَا لَمَفۡعُوۡلًا ﴿۱۰۹﴾

“And say, ‘Holy is our Lord. Surely, the promise of

وَیَخِرُّوۡنَ لِلۡاَذۡقَانِ یَبۡکُوۡنَ وَیَزِیۡدُہُمۡ خُشُوۡعًا ﴿۱۱۰﴾ٛ

They fall down on their faces weeping, and it increases

فَمَن كَانَ يَرۡجُواْ لِقَآءَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلۡيَعۡمَلۡ عَمَلٗا صَٰلِحٗا وَلَا يُشۡرِكۡ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَحَدَۢا

So let him who hopes to meet his Lord do good deeds, and let him join no one in the worship of his Lord.’

مَا کَانَ لِلّٰہِ اَنۡ یَّتَّخِذَ مِنۡ وَّلَدٍ ۙ سُبۡحٰنَہٗ ؕ

It does not befit the Majesty of Allah to take

اِنۡ کُلُّ مَنۡ فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ اِلَّاۤ اٰتِی الرَّحۡمٰنِ عَبۡدًا

There is none in the heavens and the earth but

قُل رَّبِّ زِدۡنِي عِلۡمٗا

say, ‘O my Lord, increase me in knowledge.’

لَوۡ كَانَ فِيهِمَآ ءَالِهَةٌ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا ۚ

If there had been in them (the heavens and the earth) other gods beside Allah, then surely both would have gone to ruin.

لَوۡ كَانَ فِيهِمَآ ءَالِهَةٌ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا ۚ

If there had been in them (the heavens and the earth) other gods beside Allah, then surely both would have gone to ruin.

وَهُم مِّنۡ خَشۡيَتِهِۦ مُشۡفِقُونَ

and they act cautiously for fear of Him.

وَمَنۡ یَّقُلۡ مِنۡہُمۡ اِنِّیۡۤ اِلٰہٌ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِہٖ فَذٰلِکَ نَجۡزِیۡہِ جَہَنَّمَ

And whosoever of them should say, ‘I am a God

قُلۡ مَن يَكۡلَؤُكُم بِٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ مِنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ۚ

Say, ‘Who can protect you by night and by day from the Gracious God?’

وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنٰکَ اِلَّا رَحۡمَۃً لِّلۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ﴿۱۰۸﴾

And We have sent thee not but as a mercy

اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَالَّذِیۡنَ ہَادُوۡا وَالصّٰبِئِیۡنَ وَالنَّصٰرٰی وَالۡمَجُوۡسَ وَالَّذِیۡنَ اَشۡرَکُوۡۤا

As to those who believe, and the Jews, and the

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَسۡجُدُۤ لَهُۥۤ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ وَٱلنُّجُومُ وَٱلۡجِبَالُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ وَكَثِيرٞ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ۗ

Hast thou not seen that to Allah submits whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind? But there are many who become deserving of punishment.

فَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ ٱلرِّجۡسَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَوۡثَٰنِ وَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ قَوۡلَ ٱلزُّورِ

Shun therefore the abomination of idols, and shun all words of untruth,

یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَاسۡتَمِعُوۡا لَہٗ ؕ اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ تَدۡعُوۡنَ

O men, a similitude is set forth, so listen to

مَا قَدَرُوا اللّٰہَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِہٖ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَقَوِیٌّ عَزِیۡزٌ

They esteem not Allah with the estimation which is His

وَالَّذِیۡنَ ہُمۡ عَنِ اللَّغۡوِ مُعۡرِضُوۡنَ ﴿ۙ۴﴾

And who shun all that which is vain,

ثُمَّ أَنشَأۡنَٰهُ خَلۡقًا ءَاخَرَ ۚ

then We developed it into another creation.

مَا كَانَ مَعَهُۥ مِنۡ إِلَٰهٍ ۚ إِذٗا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَٰهِۭ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ ۚ

in that case each god would have taken away what he had created, and some of them would surely have dominated over others.

وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُۥ مِنۡ إِلَٰهٍ ۚ

nor is there any other God along with Him;

ٱلۡخَبِيثَٰتُ لِلۡخَبِيثِينَ

Bad things are for bad men,

وَٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ لِلطَّيِّبِينَ

And good things are for good men,

خَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيۡءٖ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ تَقۡدِيرٗا

has created everything, and has ordained for it its proper measure.

أَعَانَهُۥ عَلَيۡهِ قَوۡمٌ ءَاخَرُونَ ۖ

other people have helped him with it

أَعَانَهُۥ عَلَيۡهِ قَوۡمٌ ءَاخَرُونَ ۖ

other people have helped him with it.

اَمۡ تَحۡسَبُ اَنَّ اَکۡثَرَہُمۡ یَسۡمَعُوۡنَ اَوۡ یَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ؕ اِنۡ ہُمۡ

Dost thou think that most of them hear or understand?

اَلَمۡ تَرَ اِلٰی رَبِّکَ کَیۡفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ ۚ وَلَوۡ شَآءَ

Hast thou not seen how thy Lord lengthens the shade?

ثُمَّ قَبَضۡنٰہُ اِلَیۡنَا قَبۡضًا یَّسِیۡرًا ﴿۴۷﴾

Then We draw it in towards Ourself, an easy drawing

وَہُوَ الَّذِیۡ جَعَلَ لَکُمُ الَّیۡلَ لِبَاسًا وَّالنَّوۡمَ سُبَاتًا وَّجَعَلَ النَّہَارَ

And He it is Who has made the night a

وَہُوَ الَّذِیۡۤ اَرۡسَلَ الرِّیٰحَ بُشۡرًۢا بَیۡنَ یَدَیۡ رَحۡمَتِہٖ ۚ وَاَنۡزَلۡنَا

And He it is Who sends the winds as glad

لِّنُحۡیِ یَ بِہٖ بَلۡدَۃً مَّیۡتًا وَّنُسۡقِیَہٗ مِمَّا خَلَقۡنَاۤ اَنۡعَامًا وَّاَنَاسِیَّ کَثِیۡرًا

That We may thereby give life to a dead land,

وَلَوۡ شِئۡنَا لَبَعَثۡنَا فِیۡ کُلِّ قَرۡیَۃٍ نَّذِیۡرًا ﴿۫ۖ۵۲﴾

If We had pleased, We could have surely raised a

فَلَا تُطِعِ الۡکٰفِرِیۡنَ وَجَاہِدۡہُمۡ بِہٖ جِہَادًا کَبِیۡرًا ﴿۵۳﴾

So obey not the disbelievers and fight against them by

وَہُوَ الَّذِیۡ خَلَقَ مِنَ الۡمَآءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَہٗ نَسَبًا وَّصِہۡرًا ؕ

And He it is Who has created man from water,

وَاِذَا قِیۡلَ لَہُمُ اسۡجُدُوۡا لِلرَّحۡمٰنِ قَالُوۡا وَمَا الرَّحۡمٰنُ ٭ اَنَسۡجُدُ

And when it is said to them, ‘Submit to the

تَبٰرَکَ الَّذِیۡ جَعَلَ فِی السَّمَآءِ بُرُوۡجًا وَّجَعَلَ فِیۡہَا سِرٰجًا وَّقَمَرًا

Blessed is He Who has made mansions in the heaven

وَہُوَ الَّذِیۡ جَعَلَ الَّیۡلَ وَالنَّہَارَ خِلۡفَۃً لِّمَنۡ اَرَادَ اَنۡ یَّذَّکَّرَ

And He it is Who has made the night and

وَہُوَ الَّذِیۡ جَعَلَ الَّیۡلَ وَالنَّہَارَ خِلۡفَۃً لِّمَنۡ اَرَادَ اَنۡ یَّذَّکَّرَ

And He it is Who has made the night and

وَعِبَادُ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الَّذِیۡنَ یَمۡشُوۡنَ عَلَی الۡاَرۡضِ ہَوۡنًا وَّاِذَا خَاطَبَہُمُ الۡجٰہِلُوۡنَ

And the servants of the Gracious God are those who

قُلۡ مَا يَعۡبَؤُاْ بِكُمۡ رَبِّي لَوۡلَا دُعَآؤُكُمۡ ۖ

Say to the disbelievers: ‘But for your prayer to Him my Lord would not care for you.

وَالشُّعَرَآءُ یَتَّبِعُہُمُ الۡغَاوٗنَ ﴿۲۲۵﴾ؕ

And as for the poets — it is the erring

اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّہُمۡ فِیۡ کُلِّ وَادٍ یَّہِیۡمُوۡنَ ﴿۲۲۶﴾ۙ

Dost thou not see how they wander distracted in every

وَاَنَّہُمۡ یَقُوۡلُوۡنَ مَا لَا یَفۡعَلُوۡنَ ﴿۲۲۷﴾ۙ

And that they say what they practise not? —

اِلَّا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَذَکَرُوا اللّٰہَ کَثِیۡرًا وَّانۡتَصَرُوۡا مِنۡۢ

Save those who believe and do good works, and remember

وَلَوۡلَاۤ اَنۡ تُصِیۡبَہُمۡ مُّصِیۡبَۃٌۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتۡ اَیۡدِیۡہِمۡ فَیَقُوۡلُوۡا رَبَّنَا لَوۡلَاۤ

And had it not been for the fact that, if

لَهُ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ فِي ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ ۖ وَلَهُ ٱلۡحُكۡمُ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ

To Him belongs all praise in the beginning and the Hereafter. His is the judgment and to Him shall you be brought back.

وَلَا تَدۡعُ مَعَ اللّٰہِ اِلٰـہًا اٰخَرَ ۘ لَاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّا

And call not on any other God beside Allah. There

إِنَّمَا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوۡثَٰنٗا وَتَخۡلُقُونَ إِفۡكًا ۚ

‘You only worship idols beside Allah, and you forge a lie.

وَمَا کُنۡتَ تَتۡلُوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلِہٖ مِنۡ کِتٰبٍ وَّلَا تَخُطُّہٗ بِیَمِیۡنِکَ

And thou didst not recite any Book before it, nor

بَلۡ ہُوَ اٰیٰتٌۢ بَیِّنٰتٌ فِیۡ صُدُوۡرِ الَّذِیۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡعِلۡمَ ؕ

Nay, it is a collection of clear Signs in the

وَٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُواْ فِينَا لَنَهۡدِيَنَّهُمۡ سُبُلَنَا ۚ

And as for those who strive in Our path — We will surely guide them in Our ways.

ظَہَرَ الۡفَسَادُ فِی الۡبَرِّ وَالۡبَحۡرِ بِمَا کَسَبَتۡ اَیۡدِی النَّاسِ لِیُذِیۡقَہُمۡ

Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what

قُلۡ سِیۡرُوۡا فِی الۡاَرۡضِ فَانۡظُرُوۡا کَیۡفَ کَانَ عَاقِبَۃُ الَّذِیۡنَ مِنۡ

Say, ‘Travel in the earth and see how evil was

اَللّٰہُ الَّذِیۡ یُرۡسِلُ الرِّیٰحَ فَتُثِیۡرُ سَحَابًا فَیَبۡسُطُہٗ فِی السَّمَآءِ کَیۡفَ

It is Allah Who sends the winds so that they

وَاِنۡ کَانُوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ یُّنَزَّلَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِہٖ لَمُبۡلِسِیۡنَ

Though before that — before it was sent down upon

فَانۡظُرۡ اِلٰۤی اٰثٰرِ رَحۡمَتِ اللّٰہِ کَیۡفَ یُحۡیِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِہَا

Look, therefore, at the marks of Allah’s mercy: how He

لَا تُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلشِّرۡكَ لَظُلۡمٌ عَظِيمٞ

associate not partners with Allah. Surely, associating partners with God is a grievous wrong.’

وَإِن جَٰهَدَاكَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن تُشۡرِكَ بِي مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞ فَلَا تُطِعۡهُمَا ۖ

‘And if they contend with thee to make thee set up equals with Me concerning which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not,

اَوَلَمۡ یَرَوۡا اَنَّا نَسُوۡقُ الۡمَآءَ اِلَی الۡاَرۡضِ الۡجُرُزِ فَنُخۡرِجُ بِہٖ

Have they not seen that We drive the water to

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُصَلِّي عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتُهُۥ لِيُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ ۚ

He it is Who sends blessings on you, as do His angels, that He may bring you forth from all kinds of darkness into light.

وَكَانَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ رَحِيمٗا

And He is Merciful to the believers.

وَلَوۡ يُؤَاخِذُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُواْ مَا تَرَكَ عَلَىٰ ظَهۡرِهَا مِن دَآبَّةٖ

And if Allah were to punish people for what they do, He would not leave a living creature on the surface of the earth

وَالۡقُرۡاٰنِ الۡحَکِیۡمِ ۙ﴿۳﴾

By the Qur’an, full of wisdom,

لِتُنۡذِرَ قَوۡمًا مَّاۤ اُنۡذِرَ اٰبَآؤُہُمۡ فَہُمۡ غٰفِلُوۡنَ ﴿۷﴾

That thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were not

لَا الشَّمۡسُ یَنۡۢبَغِیۡ لَہَاۤ اَنۡ تُدۡرِکَ الۡقَمَرَ وَلَا الَّیۡلُ سَابِقُ

It is not for the sun to overtake the moon,

لِّمَنِ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ ۖ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡوَٰحِدِ ٱلۡقَهَّارِ

‘Whose is the kingdom this day?’ ‘It is Allah’s, the One, the Most Supreme.

وَقَالَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا لَا تَسۡمَعُوۡا لِہٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنِ وَالۡغَوۡا فِیۡہِ لَعَلَّکُمۡ

And those who disbelieve say: ‘Listen not to this Qur’an,

لَا تَسۡجُدُواْ لِلشَّمۡسِ وَلَا لِلۡقَمَرِ وَٱسۡجُدُواْۤ لِلَّهِۤ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِن كُنتُمۡ إِيَّاهُ تَعۡبُدُونَ

Prostrate not yourselves before the sun, nor before the moon, but prostrate yourselves before Allah, Who created them, if it is Him Whom you really worship.

لَّا يَأۡتِيهِ ٱلۡبَٰطِلُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَلَا مِنۡ خَلۡفِهِۦ

Falsehood cannot approach it either from before or from behind it.

لَيۡسَ كَمِثۡلِهِۦ شَيۡءٞ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡبَصِيرُ

There is nothing whatever like unto Him; and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

اَمۡ یَقُوۡلُوۡنَ افۡتَرٰی عَلَی اللّٰہِ کَذِبًا ۚ فَاِنۡ یَّشَاِ اللّٰہُ

Do they say, ‘He has forged a lie against Allah?’

وَہُوَ الَّذِیۡ یُنَزِّلُ الۡغَیۡثَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا قَنَطُوۡا وَیَنۡشُرُ رَحۡمَتَہٗ

And He it is Who sends down rain after they

وَجَزَـٰٓؤُاْ سَيِّئَةٖ سَيِّئَةٞ مِّثۡلُهَا ۖ فَمَنۡ عَفَا وَأَصۡلَحَ فَأَجۡرُهُۥ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ

And the recompense of an injury is an injury the like thereof; but whoso forgives and his act brings about reformation, his reward is with Allah.

وَکَذٰلِکَ اَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ اِلَیۡکَ رُوۡحًا مِّنۡ اَمۡرِنَا ؕ مَا کُنۡتَ تَدۡرِیۡ

And thus have We revealed to thee the Word by

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَٰهٞ وَفِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَٰهٞ ۚ

And He it is Who is God in heaven, and God on earth;

وَفِیۡۤ اَنۡفُسِکُمۡ ؕ اَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ ﴿۲۲﴾

And also in your own selves. Will you not then

اَلَکُمُ الذَّکَرُ وَلَہُ الۡاُنۡثٰی ﴿۲۲﴾

‘What! for you the males and for Him the females!’

تِلۡکَ اِذًا قِسۡمَۃٌ ضِیۡزٰی ﴿۲۳﴾

That indeed is an unfair division.

هُوَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُ وَٱلۡأٓخِرُ وَٱلظَّـٰهِرُ وَٱلۡبَاطِنُ ۖ

He is the First and the Last, and the Manifest and the Hidden,

اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰہَ یُحۡیِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِہَا ؕ قَدۡ بَیَّنَّا

Know that Allah is now quickening the earth after its

ٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحۡيِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَا ۚ

Know that Allah is now quickening the earth after its death.

وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ

But Allah will perfect His light.

وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ

Allah will perfect His light,

هُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَرۡسَلَ رَسُولَهُۥ بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَ

He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the

هُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَرۡسَلَ رَسُولَهُۥ بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ ٱلۡحَقِّ لِيُظۡهِرَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلدِّينِ كُلِّهِۦ

He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of Truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions

ہُوَ الَّذِیۡ بَعَثَ فِی الۡاُمِّیّٖنَ رَسُوۡلًا مِّنۡہُمۡ یَتۡلُوۡا عَلَیۡہِمۡ اٰیٰتِہٖ

He it is Who has raised among the Unlettered people

قَدۡ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيۡكُمۡ ذِكۡرٗا

Allah has indeed sent down to you a Reminder

رَّسُولٗا يَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ مُبَيِّنَٰتٖ لِّيُخۡرِجَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ ۚ

A Messenger, who recites unto you the clear Signs of Allah, that he may bring those who believe and do good deeds out of every kind of darkness into light.

أَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ إِلَى ٱلطَّيۡرِ فَوۡقَهُمۡ صَـٰٓفَّـٰتٖ وَيَقۡبِضۡنَ ۚ مَا يُمۡسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ ۚ

Have they not seen the birds above them, spreading out their wings without moving them

إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٖ

thou dost surely possess high moral excellences.

اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلَیۡکُمۡ رَسُوۡلًا ۬ۙ شَاہِدًا عَلَیۡکُمۡ کَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلٰی

Verily, We have sent to you a Messenger, who is

وَمَا ہُوَ عَلَی الۡغَیۡبِ بِضَنِیۡنٍ ﴿ۚ۲۵﴾

And he is not niggardly with respect to the unseen.

وَمَا ہُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَیۡطٰنٍ رَّجِیۡمٍ ﴿ۙ۲۶﴾

Nor is this the word of Satan, the rejected.

فَاَیۡنَ تَذۡہَبُوۡنَ ﴿ؕ۲۷﴾

Whither, then, are you going?

اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنٰہُ فِیۡ لَیۡلَۃِ الۡقَدۡرِ ۚ﴿ۖ۲﴾

Surely, We sent it down on the Night of Destiny.

اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنٰہُ فِیۡ لَیۡلَۃِ الۡقَدۡرِ ۚ﴿ۖ۲﴾

Surely, We sent it down on the Night of Destiny.

اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنٰہُ فِیۡ لَیۡلَۃِ الۡقَدۡرِ ۚ﴿ۖ۲﴾

Surely, We sent it down on the Night of Destiny.

وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮکَ مَا لَیۡلَۃُ الۡقَدۡرِ ؕ﴿۳﴾

And what should make thee know what the Night of

لَیۡلَۃُ الۡقَدۡرِ ۬ۙ خَیۡرٌ مِّنۡ اَلۡفِ شَہۡرٍ ؕ﴿ؔ۴﴾

The Night of Destiny is better than a thousand months.

تَنَزَّلُ الۡمَلٰٓئِکَۃُ وَالرُّوۡحُ فِیۡہَا بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّہِمۡ ۚ مِنۡ کُلِّ اَمۡرٍ

Therein descend angels and the Spirit by the command of

سَلٰمٌ ۟ۛ ہِیَ حَتّٰی مَطۡلَعِ الۡفَجۡرِ ﴿٪۶﴾

It is all peace till the rising of the dawn.

لَمۡ یَکُنِ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ اَہۡلِ الۡکِتٰبِ وَالۡمُشۡرِکِیۡنَ مُنۡفَکِّیۡنَ حَتّٰی

Those who disbelieve from among the People of the Book

رَسُوۡلٌ مِّنَ اللّٰہِ یَتۡلُوۡا صُحُفًا مُّطَہَّرَۃً ۙ﴿۳﴾

A Messenger from Allah, reciting unto them the pure Scriptures.

فِیۡہَا کُتُبٌ قَیِّمَۃٌ ؕ﴿۴﴾

Therein are lasting commandments.

قُلۡ ہُوَ اللّٰہُ اَحَدٌ ۚ﴿۲﴾

Say, ‘He is Allah, the One;

قُلۡ ہُوَ اللّٰہُ اَحَدٌ ۚ﴿۲﴾

Say, ‘He is Allah, the One;

اَللّٰہُ الصَّمَدُ ۚ﴿۳﴾

‘Allah, the Independent and Besought of all.

اَللّٰہُ الصَّمَدُ ۚ﴿۳﴾

‘Allah, the Independent and Besought of all.

لَمۡ یَلِدۡ ۬ۙ وَلَمۡ یُوۡلَدۡ ۙ﴿۴﴾

‘He begets not, nor is He begotten;

وَلَمۡ یَکُنۡ لَّہٗ کُفُوًا اَحَدٌ ﴿٪۵﴾

‘And there is none like unto Him.’
