vi Committee submitted its recommendations on these four items on 26 February 1985 which H u du r graciously approved. The Private Secretary communicated the assent of H u du r with further directions that this report and H u du r's decision thereon should be placed before Majlis-e-Mush a warat for information and it will not be necessary for this report to be put to debate. Accordingly, the aforementioned report and H u du r's instructions thereon were read out at the Majlis-e-Sh u r a of 1985. The Department of Bahisht i Maqbarah has pleasure in publishing these duly approved Wa s iyyat Rules for the benefit of the members of the Jama'at and the M usi s in particular. In compiling these rules, the Committee carried out an in- depth study of the booklet Al-Wasiyyat and the Appendix thereto, the Minutes of the first meeting of the Board of Directors of S adr Anjuman Ahmadiyya Q a d ia n dated 29 January 1906, the directives of the Khulaf a of the Jama'at Ahmadiyya and all the prevailing rules relating Wa s iyyat. Similarly the relevant portions of the reports of Majlis-e- Mush a warat from 1922 to 1983 were studied in detail and the entire body of rules has been compiled and arranged afresh. In this fresh compilation, the following points have been borne in mind: 1. Those aspects which represent the fundamental principles and objectives of the institution of Wa s iyyat , more specifically the instructions of the Promised Messiah and the Khulaf a of the Jam a‘ at Ahmadiyya, have been codified in one place and have been categorised as Rules. 2. Those aspects which are subject to change from time to time or instead of some basic principle, relate more to details or indeed the minutiae have been given the shape of Regulations.
