Understanding S al A t 114 Standing. The Tasm ī ‘ is recited as follows: ( S al ā t-The Muslim Prayer Book , pp. 42) ُ سَمِع َ هللا ُ لِمَن ْ حَمِدَه Allah hears him who praises Him. In response the congregation follows the Imam and changes posture as well, and then recite the following which is called Ta h m ī d : ( S al ā t-The Muslim Prayer Book , pp. 42) ِ رَبَّنَا وَلَك َ الْحَمْد ُ حَمْدًا كَثِيْرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيْه Our Lord! and Yours is the praise, praise which is plenty, pure, and blessed ُ سَمِع َ اَهلل ُ لِمَن ْ حَمِدَه Allah hears him who praises Him. Hadrat Khalīfatul Masīh IV rta said, Why have these words been placed after Ruk ū ‘ ? The reason is that for praise to be heard, the praise of the tongue only is not enough. God does not hear praise Allah accepts our praise of Him
