PRAYERS 49 Hadrat Rif a ‘ah bin R a fi‘ Zarq i ra relates that one day we offered our s al a t behind the Holy Prophet sa. When he raised his head from ruk u ‘ and said: ْ ٗمسَِﻊ َ اﷲ ُ ملَِﻦ محَِﺪَہ ( All a h hears him who praises Him). One person said, َْ ْ رَﺑَّﻨَﺎ وَﻟَک َ احل ُ ﻤ َْ ﺪ ًْ مح ِ ﺪًا کَﺜِري ا ﻃَ[ِّﺒًﺎ ﻣُﺒَﺎرLًَﺎ ﻓِﻴª (O Lord all kinds of praise is for You. Such immense praise which is pure and bountiful and contains great blessings). After s al a t the Holy Prophet sa said that he saw more than thirty angels rushing to record these words first. 68 Prayers during Prostration Hadrat H udhaifah ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa used to say: ْ ْ ﺳُﺒ ٰ ﺤَﺎن َ رَىب َِّ اﻻ2َْ _ (Holy is my Lord, the Most High). 69 Hadrat ‘ A ’ishah ra relates that one night when it was her turn for the Holy Prophet sa’ s stay, she found him missing from the bed. She became worried and started to search for him in the dark. She found him in prostration reciting the following prayer: ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ اﻏ ِْ ﻔِﺮ ْىل ْ ﻣَﺎ اَﺳ ْ ﺮَر ْ تُ وَﻣَﺎ ا2َ ُ ﻠَﻨ ﺖ. 70 O All a h , forgive all my sins, both the hidden and the manifest. Hadrat Ab u Hurairah ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa used to recite this prayer in his prostrations: ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ اﻏ ْ ﻔِﺮ ِْ ىلِ ذَﻧ ىب ªَُّﻠLٗ ªَّدِﻗ،ٗ ٗوَﺟِﻠªَّ ٗ،وَاَوَّﻟªَ ٗوَ اٰﺧِﺮَہ ªَٗو2ََﻼَﻧِ[َﺘ ٗٗوَﺳِﺮَّہ. 71 O All a h , forgive all my sins, major and minor, past and future and hidden and manifest. Hadrat ‘Al i ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa used to offer this prayer while prostrating in Tahajjud prayer: ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ ﻟَک َ ﺳَﺠَﺪ ْ ت ُ ،وَﺑِک َ اٰﻣَﻨ ْ ﺖُ،وَﻟَک َ اَﺳﻠَﻤ ِّْ ﺖ ُ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اَﻧ ْﺖ َ رَىب ْ ﺳَﺠَﺪ َ وَﺟ Æ ِ ﻟِﻠَّﺬِی ٗﺧَﻠَﻘªَ َْٗو َ ﺻَﻮَّرَہ و َ ﺷَﻖ َّ مس ٗﻌªَ ُٗوَﺑَﺼَﺮَہ ْ ﺗَﺒَﺎرَک َ اﻟﻠªّٰ َْ اَﺣ ﺴَﻦُ اخلَﺎﻟِﻘِني. 72
