PRAYERS 203 َ وَاٰﺗِﻨَﺎ ﻣَﺎ 2َو َّ ﺪْت ﻻ ﻣﺔ َّ َْ ◌ٍ رَﺑَّﻨَﺎ اِﻧ ىفِْ ﻋِﺒَﺎدِک َ املُْﺆْﻣِﻨِني ﻨَﺎ اٰﻣَﻨَّﺎ ﻓَﺎ کْﺘُ;ْﻨَﺎ. O Lord, forgive us and our brothers in faith who were stronger believers than us. Shower Your blessings on Your Messenger and beloved Muhammad sa and his progeny. Cause us to die as his followers and include us in his Ummah. Grant us all that You promised for his followers. Our Lord, we have believed, so write us down among the righteous servants. Prayer for Piety and Purity The Promised Messiah as wrote in approximately 1878: About twenty five years ago when I was at Gurdaspur I saw a dream in which I was sitting on a bedstead and on my left the Late Maulaw i ‘Abdull a h Sahib Ghaznav i was sitting. It passed through my mind that I should push Maulaw i Sahib off the bed. I began to move towards him till he got off the bed and sat down on the ground. At that time three angels appeared from heaven. One of them bore the name of Khair a t i. They also sat down on the ground as Maulaw i ‘Abdull a h was sitting and I continued to sit on the bed. Then I said to all of them: I will now pray and you say “ A m i n” to my prayer. I then supplicated ً رَب ِّ اَذْﻫِﺐ ْ ﻋَىن ِّ اﻟﺮِّﺟْﺲ َ وَﻃَﻬِّﺮىن ِْ ﺗَﻄْﻬِريْا (Lord remove all uncleanliness from me and purify me completely). On this the three angels and Maulaw i Sahib said A m i n and flew up to the sky and I woke up. As soon as I woke up I felt sure that Maulaw i Sahib would soon die and that a special bounty had been decreed for me in heaven. Thereafter I felt all the time that a heavenly power was working inside me till I began to receive Divine revelation in continuous succession. In that one night, God, the
