PRAYERS 125 O All a h , make my inner self better than my outer self and make my outer self good and pious. I supplicate for a pious family, pure wealth and pious children from among the bounties that You grant. Such family members who are neither susceptible to go astray, nor lead others astray. Prayers for Removal of Debt and Other Weaknesses Hadrat ‘Al i ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa taught him this prayer to be saved from debt: ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ اک َﻔِﻨَﺎ ْ حبَِﻼ ْﻟِکَ ﻋَﻦ ْ ﺣَﺮَاﻣِکَ وَاَﻏ ﺑِﻔَﻀ ِﻨَﺎ ْ َﻠِکَ ﻋَﻤَّﻦ ﺳِﻮَاک. 248 O All a h , instead of unlawful wealth, make the lawfully earned wealth sufficient for us. With Your blessings make us independent of everyone except Yourself. The Holy Prophet sa saw Ab u Um a mah ra in a worried state in the mosque during the time of s al a t and enquired the cause. Ab u Um a mah ra mentioned the burden of debt and other worries. The Holy Prophet sa said, "Shall I teach you a prayer with which you can get rid of your debt and worries”. Then he advised him to repeat this prayer at dawn and dusk. Ab u Um a mah ra says that he has tested this prayer and God relieved his anxieties regarding debt and all other worries. ِّْ ْاَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اِىن َْ اَﻋُﻮ ُْ ذ ُ ﺑِک َ ﻣِﻦ َ اهل ْ ﻢ ِّ وَاحل ْ ﺰ ْ نِ، و َ اَﻋُﻮ ْ ذُﺑِک َ ﻣِﻦ َ اﻟ َ ﻌَﺠ ﺰ ِ و ْ ْ اﻟ ُْ کَﺴَﻞ ِ وَاَﻋُﻮ ِْ ذُﺑِک َ ﻣِﻦ َ اجل نب ْ ْ وَاﻟ ْ ﺒُﺨ ْ ﻞِ،وَاَﻋُﻮ ْذُﺑِک َ ﻣِﻦ َ 5َﻠَﺒَﺔ ِ اﻟﺪَّﻳ ﻦ ِ و ْ óَﻗ ِ ﺮِ اﻟﺮِّﺟَﺎل. 249 O All a h , I seek Your shelter from grief and sorrow. I seek refuge in You from helplessness and lethargy. I seek Your shelter against cowardice and stinginess. I seek Your shelter
