PRAYERS 111 Prayer for an Absolute Straight Path The Holy Prophet sa taught this prayer to Hadrat ‘Al i ra and advised that while saying it, guidance should be understood as the straight path and " R a h-e- Sad i d ,” a path absolutely straight like an arrow. ْ ِْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ اﻫ ْﺪِىن ِ وَ ﺳَﺪِّد ىن. 222 O All a h , guide me and make me stand firm on " R a h-e-Sad i d ". Prayer for a Resolute Heart Hadrat Shahr bin H aushub ra asked Hadrat Umm-e- Salamah ra to tell him the most often repeated prayer of the Holy Prophet sa. She told him this prayer. Hadrat Umm-e-Salamah ra had enquired from the Holy Prophet sa why did he repeat this prayer so often. He replied, “God is in total control of a person's heart, as if the heart is held between His two fingers and He can turn it whenever He wants. ٰ ﻗَﻠىبِ 2َ_ ﻣُﻘَﻠِّﺐَ اﻟﻘُﻠُﻮبِ ﺛَﺒِّﺖ َ ﻳَﺎ دِﻳﻨِک. 223 O the Convertor of Hearts, make my heart steadfast on Faith. Prayer for Complete Trust in God Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin ‘Abb a s ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa routinely recited this prayer. ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ ﻟَک َ اَﺳ ْ ﻠَﻤ ْ ﺖ ُ ،وَﺑِک َ آﻣَﻨ َ ﺖُ،و2ََﻠَﻴ ْ ک ْ ﺗَﻮLََّﻠ ْ ﺖُ،وَاِﻟَﻴ ک َ اَﻧَﺒ ْﺖُ، ْ وَﺑِک َ ﺧَﺎﺻَﻤ ْ ﺖُ،اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اَﻋُﻮ ْ ذ ُ ﺑِﻌِﺰَّﺗِک َ ،ﻻ َ اِﻟªٰ َ اِﻻ َّ اَﻧ ِْﺖَ،اَن ﺗُﻀِﻠَّىن ،ْ َْ اَﻧ ْ ﺖَ احل ْﻰُّ اﻟَّﺬِی ِْ ﻻَ ميَُﻮ ْ تُ،وَاجل ْ ﻦُّ وَاﻻِْﻧ ُ ﺲُ ميَُﻮ ْ ﺗ َ ﻮ ن. 224 O All a h , I have entrusted everything unto You, believe in You, trust in You and am inclined towards You. With Your name I face the enemy. Oh All a h , I seek refuge in Your Honour. There is
