PRAYERS 95 َاَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ ﻓَﺎﻃِﺮ َ اﻟﺴَّﻤٰﻮَات ِ وَاﻻَۡرۡضِ، 2َْﺎﻟِﻢ ْ اﻟ ﻐَﻴ َّﺐ ِ وَاﻟﺸَّﻬَﺎدَةِ، ِّرَب ُﻞL َْ Õ ْ ء ٍ وَﻣَﻠِﻴ کªَ ،ْ ْ اَﺷ ْﻬَﺪ ُ اَن اِﻻ َّ اَﻧ َ ªٰﻻ َّ اِﻟ َ ﺖ َ ،ا ْ ْ ﻋُﻮ ْذُﺑِک َ ﻣِﻦ ﺷَﺮ ِّ ﻧَﻔ ، ِ ºْ ْ وَﺷَﺮ ِّ اﻟﺸَّﻴ ﻄَﺎن ِ وَﺷِﺮ کªِ ،ۡ ْوَاَن ْ اَﻗ رت َِ ف َ 2َ_ ٰ ﻧَﻔ ِْ ºْ ﺳُﻮ ْءً، اَو اَﺟُﺮَّہ ٰ ْ اِىل ﻣُﺴ ﻠِﻢٍ. 185 O All a h , Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the seen and the unseen, Lord and Master of everything, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except You. I seek refuge in You from the mischief of my own self, the evil of Satan and from his associating partners with You. I seek shelter in You from doing any evil deed which can harm me or harm a fellow Muslim. Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin ‘Umar ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa always recited some prayers at dawn and dusk. One of those prayers is as follows: ِّْ ْاَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اِىن ْ اَﺳ ْ ﺎَﻟُک َ اﻟ ِّْ ﻌَﺎﻓِﻴَﺔ َ ىف ِ اﻟﺪُّﻧ ْﻴَﺎ وَاﻵْﺧِﺮَة ِ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اِىن ُ اَﺳ ْ ﺎَﻟ ْ ک َ اﻟ َ ﻌَﻔ ْ ﻮ ْ وَاﻟ ِْ ﻌَﺎﻓِﻴَﺔ َ ىف ِ دِﻳ ْىن ْ وَدُﻧ ِْ ﻴَﺎیَ،وَاَﻫ _ِْ ْ وَﻣَﺎىل ُْ ،اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اﺳ ْرت ِْ ﻋَﻮ رَاÇ ، ْ ْوَآﻣِﻦ ِْ رَو 2َﺎÇ ،ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ اﺣ ِْ ﻔَﻈ ْىن ِْﻣِﻦ ْ ﺑَني ْﻳَﺪَیَّ وَﻣِﻦ ْ ﺧَﻠ ْ®ِ وَﻋَﻦ [َِمي ِْ ْىن ِْوَﻋَﻦ ْمشَِﺎىل ْوَﻣِﻦ ِْ ﻓَﻮ ç ْ وَاَﻋُﻮ ، ْ ْ ذُ ﺑِﻌَﻈ ْﻤَﺘِکَ اَن ْ اُﻏ َْﺘَﺎل َ ﻣِﻦ ِْ حت ىت. 186 O All a h , I seek well- being and safety in this world and in the world Hereafter. O All a h , I seek Your forgiveness and protection in faith, in worldly life, in my home and in my wealth. O All a h , cover up my weaknesses and grant me peace from my fears. O All a h , You Yourself protect me from front and behind, from left and right and from above and below. I seek shelter in Your Greatness lest any hidden hardship touches me from my subordinate.
