٢٦١ العالم بعد الدعوى أربعين عاما، وإذا أضفنا إليها ٣٣ عاما، يكون المجموع ٧٣ مثلنا فجواب عاما لا ١٢٠ عاما، مع أن الحديث يصرح بأنه عاش مائة وعشرين عاما. وإذا قلتم بأن النصارى أيضا ينتظرون البعثة الثانية للمسيح ذلك أنه كما بينا آنفا أن المسيح نفسه شبه بعثته الثانية بالبعثة الثانية لإلياس النبي، كما ثبت من إنجيل متى الإصحاح ۱۷ ، العبارة ١٠-١٢. أضف إلى ذلك اعتقاد بعض الفرق المسيحية بأن البعثة الثانية للمسيح بروزية كالبعثة الثانية لإلياس النبي. فقد ورد في كتاب "الحياة الجديدة للمسيح" المجلد الأول، صفحة ٤١٠ ، من تأليف: د. أيف. ستراس، العبارة التالية: (رأي بعض الباحثين المسيحيين الألمان بأن المسيح لم يمت على الصليب) Crucifixion they maintain, even in the feet as well as the hands are supposed to have been nailed occasions but very little loss of blood. He saw among them three acquaintances whom he begged Titus to give to him. They were immediately taken down and carefully attended to, one was really saved, but two others could not be recovered.
