H A D R AT M IR Z A GHU L A M AH M AD A S 103 that ‘Dajj a l’ refers to some specific mischief-maker. Therefore, God Almighty removed all such doubts in the Glorious Quran. He has done so, first, by clearly and categorically informing of the death of Hadrat ‘ I s a , peace be upon him, as is apparent from the following verse, 1 اَّمَلَف ْيِنَتْيَّفَوَت َتْنُك َتْنَا َبْيِقَّرلا ْمِهْيَلَع Moreover, He declared our Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, to be Kh a tamul-Anbiy a ’ [the Seal of the Prophets], as in the following verse: 2 َو ْنِكٰل َلْوُسَّر ِهّٰللا َو َمَتاَخ َنّٖيِبَّنلا Moreover, by mentioning many acts of disobedience by the Jews at various places [in the Holy Quran], He pointed out repeatedly that the later state of ordinary Muslims and their ulema would be the same. And then He also said that in the Latter Days, the dom - ination will be that of Christians, and many kinds of conflicts will spread from their hands. And waves of conflict will rise from all directions and they will race down from every height. That is, they will demonstrate their power, domination, and ascendancy in every way. They will also dominate in material strength and dominion, against which all the other governments and states will 1. But since You did cause me to die, You have been the Watcher over them ( S u rah al-M a ’idah, 5:118). [Publisher] 2.
