rumours are being spread every day either about my murder or Rabwah having been burnt or that Ahmadies have recanted all over which cause great anxiety in the minds of the Ahmadies۔In the circumstances I think that some misunderstanding is the cause of this notice۔But whether there is any misunderstanding or not, as Islam enjoines on us to obey the orders of the Government of the day I will obey the orders to the best of my knowledge and reason and leave the matter of my honour to God who has ordered me to obey the Government۔I pray to God that He may reveal the truth to you and vindicate my honour and help Pakistan in these difficult times۔I have the honour to be, Sir, Your most obedient servant, (Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad) Head of the Ahmadiyya Community۔
