Behold the Help of My God 163 ْ ُم ھ جَفَاءَ َّ ذُقْنَا ٍ ثُم ْر ی َ بِخ َمَمْنَا ھ ْ ُم ھ جَفَاءَ َّ ذُقْنَا ٍ ثُم ْر ی َ بِخ َمَمْنَا ھ ِ شَمَّرُوْا َّ لِلظُّلْم ٍ ثُم بِعَدْل وَجِئْنَا ِ شَمَّرُوْا َّ لِلظُّلْم ٍ ثُم بِعَدْل وَجِئْنَا I endeavoured to do good, but was met with aggression on their part; I came with justice, but they began to treat me unjustly. ْ َ دُوْنَھُم َّ الْمُبِیْدَۃ ااْلَْفَاعِي وَجَدْن َا ْ َ دُوْنَھُم َّ الْمُبِیْدَۃ ااْلَْفَاعِي ُوَجَدْن َا ِ تَأْبُر ُّ الْعَقَارِب ْ شَر َ مِثْلَھُم اْل َ ُو ِ تَأْبُر ُّ الْعَقَارِب ْ شَر َ مِثْلَھُم اْل َ و I have found deadly snakes to be less harmful than them; Not even the most lethal scorpion stings as they do. ً ِ مَذَلَّۃ َّ کَالْفَتِیْل اْل ِ ُ ا نَحْن وَمَا ً ِ مَذَلَّۃ َّ کَالْفَتِیْل اْل ِ ُ ا نَحْن ُوَمَا وَاَحْقَر ُ اَدْنٰی ْ مِنْہ ْ بَل ُبِاَعْیُنِھِم وَاَحْقَر ُ اَدْنٰی ْ مِنْہ ْ بَل بِاَعْیُنِھِم In their eyes I am like a mere shred of a dry date; Indeed, even more insignificant and contemptible than that. ِ تَضَرُّعًا ِّٰ الْقَدِیْر هّٰلل ا ْ اِلَی فَنَشْکُو ِ تَضَرُّعًا ِّٰ الْقَدِیْر هّٰلل ا ْ اِلَی ُفَنَشْکُو ِ یَنْصُر َ الْمَصَائِب ٗ عِنْد ْ مِثْلُہ ُوَمَن ِ یَنْصُر َ الْمَصَائِب ٗ عِنْد ْ مِثْلُہ وَمَن Hence, it is to Almighty God that I submit my complaint in all humility, For who can help like Him in times of adversity? ٗ رَمٰی کُل ُّ مَن ْ عَادٰی اِلَي َّ سِھَامَہ ٗ ُرَمٰی کُل ُّ مَن ْ عَادٰی اِلَي َّ سِھَامَہ ِ وَاُکْفَر ْ کَالْوَحِیْد ُ اَمْشِي ُفَاَصْبَحْت ِ وَاُکْفَر ْ کَالْوَحِیْد ُ اَمْشِي فَاَصْبَحْت Every enemy shot arrows at me, So I was left alone and was declared a disbeliever. َاَلَ حُسَیْن ٌ دَفَاہ ُ الْقَوْم ُ فِي دَشْت ِ کَرْب َاَلَ ُحُسَیْن ٌ دَفَاہ ُ الْقَوْم ُ فِي دَشْت ِ کَرْب ٌ اٰخَر حُسَیْن ْ ظُلْمًا ُوَکَلَّمَنِی ٌ اٰخَر حُسَیْن ْ ظُلْمًا وَکَلَّمَنِی There was a H usain who was killed by the enemies in the desert of Karbala. But there is another H usain [of Batala] who wounded me out of mere cruelty.
