The Miraculous Qasidah 129 وَإِنِّي ْ أَنَا الْبَازِي الْمُطِل ُّ عَلَی الْعِدَا ُوَإِنِّي ْ أَنَا الْبَازِي الْمُطِل ُّ عَلَی الْعِدَا ٍ یُّکَبَّر ْن ی ِ ْ مُّع ٌ مِّن ْ مُعَان ُوَإِنِّي ٍ یُّکَبَّر ْن ی ِ ْ مُّع ٌ مِّن ْ مُعَان وَإِنِّي I am the hawk ever-ready to spring upon his enemies; I have been granted help from Almighty God. غَرْبِهَا َ ِ و الْب ِاَلَد ِّ َّ شَرْقِي ْ کُل أَثِر غَرْبِهَا َ ِ و الْب ِاَلَد ِّ َّ شَرْقِي ْ کُل ُأَثِر َطْمِر ی ِّ َ کَالْبَق ٍ کَان ْب ی ِ َّ أَد کُل َ ُو َطْمِر ی ِّ َ کَالْبَق ٍ کَان ْب ی ِ َّ أَد کُل َ و Tempt the east and the west against me, And call to your assistance every such learned person who hops about like a mosquito. ً ً مُشْمَعِلَّة ْ نَاقَة َحْکِي ی َ ْ کَان مَن َ و ً ً مُشْمَعِلَّة ْ نَاقَة َحْکِي ی َ ْ کَان مَن َ و دَبِّرُوْا َ َمُس ُّ الْقَوْم َ فَاسْعَوْا و ی ٌ صَغَار دَبِّرُوْا َ َمُس ُّ الْقَوْم َ فَاسْعَوْا و ی ٌ صَغَار And invite to your aid all those who can move around swiftly like a camel; Your people are faced with a humiliating defeat. So, rush and plan. ٍ ُ بِجَائِر ِ لَسْت هّٰللّٰ ِ ا ْ لَعَمْر وَإِنِّي ٍ ُ بِجَائِر ِ لَسْت هّٰللّٰ ِ ا ْ لَعَمْر ُوَإِنِّي ِ فَأُدْبِر ْ بِالصَّوَاب َ تَأْتِي ْ کُنْت ُوَإِن ِ فَأُدْبِر ْ بِالصَّوَاب َ تَأْتِي ْ کُنْت وَإِن By God, I am not a cruel-hearted person; If you answer correctly, I will turn away from my stance. ً اَل ُ ْنَا تَغَاف ی َ َ تُصْغِي ْ إِل اْل َ وَإِن ْ کُنْت ً اَل ُ ْنَا تَغَاف ی َ َ تُصْغِي ْ إِل اْل َ ُوَإِن ْ کُنْت َ تَعْمُر کُنْت ْ کُلَّمَا تُلْغِي َ ُّ و ُتَهُد َ تَعْمُر کُنْت ْ کُلَّمَا تُلْغِي َ ُّ و تَهُد But if you do not heed these words of mine, you will bring down, And make redundant the building that you yourself built. ْ َرْمِي الْقَنَا مَن ْ عِنْدَکُم ی أَلَسْت َ تَرٰی ْ َرْمِي الْقَنَا مَن ْ عِنْدَکُم ی ُأَلَسْت َ تَرٰی أَکْفَر َ َ و الْعُلُوْم َدْرِي ی َ اْل َ ٌ و ُجَھُوْل أَکْفَر َ َ و الْعُلُوْم َدْرِي ی َ اْل َ ٌ و جَھُوْل Do you not see that arrows are being shot at you, By a person whom you deem ignorant, illiterate, and a disbeliever? ْ ْن َ ضَرَت ْ مِنْکُم ْ ع َاَلَمَة ُ صِدْقِکُم ی َ فَأ ْ ْن َ ضَرَت ْ مِنْکُم ْ ع َاَلَمَة ُ صِدْقِکُم ی َ ُفَأ ْن َ اخْتَفٰی عِلْم ٌ بِه ِ کُنْت َ تُکْفِر ی أَ َ ُو ْن َ اخْتَفٰی عِلْم ٌ بِه ِ کُنْت َ تُکْفِر ی أَ َ و Where has the Sign of your truth gone? Where has gone the knowledge by virtue of which you pronounced others as disbelievers?
