42 Ru ha n i Khaz a ’in , vol. 18, p. 233; Defence Against the Plague & A Criterion for the Elect of God , English ed. 2015, p. 22) And the Persian verse is: من آ رہ ز سی اتس رکالبےئ رگیبامن در اتس ی حس دص It is as if I am walking around in Karbala and thousands of Husains are hidden in my heart. ( Nuz u lul-Mas ih , Ru ha n i Khaz a ’in, vol. 18, p. 477) Dear readers! Here Maulaw i Sahib is being thoroughly dishonest. It is akin to someone reading the first half of verse 44 of S u rah an-Nis a ’ , ‘do not approach prayer’ and leave out the second half ‘while you are not in control of your senses. ’ The Persian verse that Maulaw i Sahib presents for his critique is preceded by other verses that express love and devotion for Allah. Hadrat Mirza Sahib explains that he too is one of those annihilated by love for Allah the Almighty and that in this day and age he is the one who is being persecuted because of that love. Hadrat Mirza Sahib says: ددلار از ہک نخس ں آ ابوصخلص ارسار ی ر دادن دار ت اخصی The qualities of my Beloved that arouse such passion in me are indeed mysterious. زہار ہن دو یک ہن او ہتشک امشر ز ربون اور یلان ت ق ی ا Those smitten by these mysteries do not number in the ones or twos or even thousands. In fact they are countless.
