Response to the booklet entitled Ilh a m i Girgit 17 ٌ َان َ التَّشْرِيْع ُ قَد ْ اِنْقَطَعَ، فَالتَّشْرِيْع ُ جُزْء ک ْ يَوْم ِ الْقِيَامَة ِ فِي الْخَلْقِ. وَإِن ی ٰ فَالنُّبُوَّة ُ سَارِيَة ٌ إِل مِّن ْ أَجْزَاء ِ النُّبُوَّةِ. Prophethood continues in the creation till the Day of Judgment, although law-bearing prophethood has ended. Bringing down a law is just a part of propheth- ood. ( Al-Fut uha tul-Makkiyyah by Mu h yudd i n Ibn ‘Arab i , vol. 2, p. 89, D a ru I h y a ’it-Tur a thil-‘Arabiyyi, Beirut, first edition) The Imam of Hind, Shah Wali yy ull a h rta Mu h addith Dehlav i (died 1762 CE, 1171 AH), who was the first to translate the Holy Quran into Persian, in accordance with God’s teachings states: ِ ْع ِ عَلَی النَّاس ي ِ ُ سُبْحَانَہ ٗ بِالتَّشْر هللا ُ َّأْمُرُہ ي ْ ُوْجَد ُ بَعْدَہ ُ مَن ي َ ُّوْن َ اَي ْ ل ي خُتِم َ بِہ ِ النَّبِ The Holy Prophet s as is the Seal of Prophets. This means that, after him, no divinely appointed person will be raised for mankind with a new Shari ‘ ah. ( at-Tafh i m a tul-Il a hi- yyah, Sh a h Wali yy ull a h Mu h addith Dehlav i , vol. 2, p. 85, Ma t bū‘ah Ak a d i miyyatush-Sh a h Wali yy ull a h, al- H aidari Lajpat Road Press, Hyderabad, Pakistan, 1968) The eminent learned divine, Hadrat Maul a n a Abul H asan a t ‘Abdul H ayy (died 1882 CE, 1304 AH), has the following to say about the Seal of Prophethood: ی ہ ن آرضحنت ےک رجمد یسک یبن اک وہان احمل � ی دعب آرضحنت ےک � ی ا زامےن م ہکلب اصبح رشع دج� ی د وہان اہتبل عنتمم ےہ.
