Undated 351 Undated The Advice of the Promised Messiah, Peace be on Him Which he Mentioned in his Home in relation to Women (Compiled by Sahibz a dah Miy an Bashir-ud-Din Ma h m u d Ahmad) A Pure Disposition One day, a sick child asked someone for a story, but that individual replied that we consider telling stories a sin. The Promised Messiah, peace be on him, said that it is not a sin because it is proven that the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to tell jokes sometimes and considered it acceptable to do this to entertain children. It is narrated that once an old woman inquired from him s as whether she would also go to Heaven. He said no. She started crying after hearing this. He asked her why she was crying and said that the young will enter Paradise, the old will not; that is, everyone will be made young at that time. In the same way, the Promised Messiah as said there was pain in a molar of a Companion. He was eating a dried date. The Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, ‘Don’t eat dry dates because you have pain in your molars. ’ He replied that I am chew- ing with the other molar. Then the Promised Messiah as said that an animal called a nughair escaped from the hand of a child. That child started crying. This child’s name was ‘Umair. The Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, عُـمَیْـرُ! مَا فَعَلَت ْ بِك َ نُـغَیْـرُ؟ عُـمَیْـرُ! مَا فَعَلَت ْ بِك َ نُـغَیْـرُ؟ —‘O ‘Umair! What was done by nughair ?’ The boy liked the rhyme so he stopped crying.
