78 Letter to a Dear One taqabbal du‘ ā :] My Lord, make me observe Prayer, and my children too. Our Lord, bestow Thy grace on me and accept my prayer. H [£G±I©M ö Z H vÂHºG † G vMÂG † G ãÃIÀI›MÈH¿M¾I ö G y R |G¬I ö G « G ÂI ö G y çI ö M ®I¹M”Z £GÀR…Ge [14: 42] [ rabbanaghfir l ī wa li w ā lidiyya wa lil-mu’min ī na yauma yaq ū mul-his ā b :] Our Lord, forgive me and my parents too and all the believers on the Day of Judgment. çI• G y J æGÀG±G ä £GÃM ú S ¬ ö O Z çI• £GÀI†ZGY óGÀR…Ge I e£RÀ ö O Z G [ZG − G “ £GÀI–Gy J æGÀG±G ä I {G®I‹GìOZ [2:202] [ rabban ā ā tin ā fidduny ā hasanatan wa fil- ā khirati hasanatan wa qin ā adh ā bann ā r :] Our Lord, bestow on us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and shield us from the torment of the Fire (burning of heart, regret, grief, etc. ). all ā humma inn ī a‘ ū dhubika min jahdil-bal ā ’i wa darkishshiq ā ’i wa s ū ’il-qad ā ’i wa sham ā tatil-a‘d ā ’i: O Allah I seek refuge with You from being ensnared in trial or an adversity to hit me or a misfortune to befall me or to be at a stage where my enemies deride me. The prayer to be said during the brief sitting between the two prostrations is as follows: rabbighfirl ī warhamn ī warzuqn ī wahdin ī wajburn ī wa ‘ ā fin ī wa‘fu ‘ann ī : Our Lord, forgive me and have mercy on me and provide for me and guide me and make good my shortcomings and grant me security and pardon me. The Witr raka‘ ā t are offered in the ‘Ish ā sal ā t. The following prayer, called Du‘ ā -ul-Qun ū t , is offered in the third rak‘ah after the ruk ū ‘ : all ā humma inn ā nasta‘ ī nuka wa nastaghfiruka, wa nu’minu bika wa natawakkalu ‘alaika, wa nuthn ī ‘alaikal-khaira, nashkuruka wa l ā nakfuruk, wa nakhhla‘u wa natruku man yafjuruk, all ā humma iyy ā ka n‘abudu wa laka nusall ī wa nasjudu, wa ilaika nas‘ ā wa nahfidu, wa narj ū rahmataka, wa nakhsh ā adh ā baka, inna adh ā baka bil-kuff ā ri mulhiq: O Allah, we beseech Thy help and ask Thy forgiveness and believe in Thee and trust in Thee and we praise Thee in the best manner and we thank Thee and we are not ungrateful to Thee, and we cast off
