454 دوسری آئینی ترمیم 1974ء۔خصوصی کمیٹی میں کیا گزری پھر اسی اجلاس میں مسلمان عمائدین یہ اعلان کر رہے تھے:۔Advantage and every safety of the Mohammadens lay in the loyalty to the Government۔So much was their cause bound up with the British Raj that they must be prepared to fight and die for the Government if neccessory۔(Foundations of Pakistan, by Sharifuddin Pirzada, Vol 1 published by Quad e Azam University p 12) یعنی تمام مسلمانوں کی مفاد اور ان کی حفاظت اسی میں ہے کہ وہ گورنمنٹ کے وفادار رہیں۔برٹش راج سے ان مفادات اس طرح وابستہ ہیں کہ اگر ضرورت پڑے تو انہیں اس کے لئے لڑنے اور اس راہ میں مرنے کے لئے تیار رہنا چاہیے۔یہ تو مسلم لیگ کا پہلا اجلاس تھا۔جب مسلم لیگ کا دوسرا اجلاس ہوا تو سید علی امام نے اس کے خطبہ صدارت میں کہا:۔Islam whatever of it that was in India was on the brink of an inglorius annihilation that an inscrutable providence ordained the advent of a power that gave country peace and religious toleration۔(Foundations of Pakistan, by Sharifuddin Pirzada, Vol 1 published by Quad e Azam University p 42)
