"The other adhering firmly to old principles, and, in effect, probably less altimately harmful۔But perhaps the movement in Muhammadanism is the most striking۔I learn from those who are experienced in these things that there is now a new kind of Muhammadanism showing itself in many parts of our empire in India, and even in our own island here at home۔Muhammadanism now speaks with reverence of our blessd Lord and Master, but is none the less more intensely monotheistic then ever۔It discards many of those usages which have made Muhammadanism hateful in our eyes, but the False Prophet holds his place no less pre-eminently than before۔Changes are plainly to be recognised; but Muhammadanism is not the less aggressive, and, alas! to some minds among us (God grant that they be not many) even additionally attractive۔Unitarianism has found in it an unlooked for ally۔All these things you will hear set forth in various forms; and I do now very solemnly command to your anxious consideration the papers that will be read, and the statements that will be made, in refrence to the present state of Judaism and Muhammadanism۔" (The official report of the Missionary Conferance 1894, page 64) اس خطاب کا ترجمہ درج ذیل ہے: اسلام میں ایک نئی حرکت کے آثار نمایاں ہیں۔مجھے ان لوگوں نے جو تجربہ کار ہیں، نے بتایا ہے ہندوستان کی برطانوی مملکت میں ایک نئی طرز کا اسلام ہمارے سامنے آرہا ہے۔اس جزیرے میں بھی کہیں نہیں اس کے آثار نظر آرہے ہیں۔یہ ان بدعات کا سخت مخالف ہے جن کی بنا پر محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) کا مذہب ہمارے نگاہ میں قابل نفرین قرار پاتا ہے۔اس نئے اسلام کی وجہ سے محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) کو پھر وہی پہلی سی عظمت حاصل ہوتی جا رہی ہے۔یہ نئے تغیرات بآسانی شناخت کئے جا سکتے ہیں۔پھر یہ نیا اسلام اپنی نوعیت میں مدافعانہ ہی نہیں بلکہ جارحانہ حیثیت کا بھی حامل ہے۔افسوس ہے تو اس بات کا کہ ہم سے بعض ذہن اس کی طرف مائل ہو رہے ہیں۔“ حضرت مسیح موعود علیہ السلام کے دعوئی پر ابھی چند سال ہی گزرے تھے کہ پادریوں کے دلوں پر آپ علیہ السلام کا رُعب چھا گیا اور مسیحی دنیا نے محسوس کر لیا کہ اسلام کے غلبہ اور عیسائیت کی شکست کا وقت آن پہنچا ہے۔علمائے اسلام کا اعتراف: عیسائیت کے خلاف حضرت مسیح موعود علیہ السلام کی فتح مبین کا تذکرہ کرتے ہوئے ایک غیر احمدی مولوی نور احمد نقش بندی یوں رقم طراز ہیں: 446
